Gain Legacy Of Lies (Empire Of Lies, #3) Author Whitney G. Rendered As Print

This book was the cherry on top of a dark, decadent chocolate sundae! This picks up where Queen of Lies ends and holy heck, once it started it never slowed down!

Im not going to go into the plot because to say anything would give it away.
I will say that Meredith and Michael both have moved to the top of some of my favorite characters list, All that Meredith has experienced leading up to this book, and following her into it, cant do anything but evolve into her becoming an even stronger heroine than she previously was.
Shes definitely not in Kansas anymore and when trouble comes

calling, she has to take action,

Michael is an antihero that remains true to character no spoiler here, he tells us that up front in book one.
I absolutely loved all the dark places within him, those that were wounded and those that simply made up who he was, I cant remember ever reading about another hero quite like Michael,

Like the previous books, this has a few twists and turns, I have to confess, I was unsure how this author was going to wrap up, not only all the drama that Michael and Meredith are embroiled in, but their relationship as well.
I was afraid the end was going to leave me unhappy, completely unsatisfied, and ready to throw my Kindle, I should never have doubted this authors talent, This was more than satisfying as it ended in the only way it possibly could,

Id love to see a book about Michaels brother, Trevor, Crossing my fingers that happens, But until then, you have two choices: Option A ignore this series and miss out on all the dark deliciousness it holds or Option B snatch this series up as quickly as possible and allow Whitney G.
to take you into the new world shes been hiding from her fans,

This would have been much better being sold as a complete book instead of being marketed as a trilogy which it isn't.

Overall poorly done, the plot too jumpy and not a great read,

Maybe next book by Whitney G will be better, Well deserved ending which made both of them and me happy wink, . . maybe Overall a twisty fun series but things are rushed and not fully flushed out, The heroine forgave him very easily and trusted him easily, First off I Trigger Warning! This book does contain sensitive topics

First of all let me emphasize that this series is a Fast paced series and if you are not okay with that then you will NOT like the series.

Let me just say I dont understand why this is a series It could have been a one book novel instead of being divided intobooks with justpages each.

Nonetheless I still enjoyed reading this series because the plot was really good,

Meredith,
I wish wed met under different circumstances,
I wish I didnt have to do this to you, but I have to,
Itll all make sense in the end,
M

Bookstarts off with Michael leaving Meredith in Mexico with clear instruction to go the the airport and fly to Switzerland and start her new life there.

I love this author! She is so good with her storylines! Some of her books are funny and hot, and this one was a serious drama filled book.
So many twists and turns, This is bookand the conclusion of this series, Michael is a gorgeous sexy man, he is not the romantic type, because he doesnt do relationships, He is a for hire killer and also has revenge list, He and his brother Trevor run the business,
What a crazy and sad storyline this book has, Meredith is the only daughter of a billionaire and her father is an evil jerk! I loved that Michael and Meredith got together, they are perfect for each other.
They have been traumatized throughout life and I liked that they end up together, This series is so similar with another series I started reading recently, Correct me if Im wrong, but these books have almost the same substance as the firstbooks written by J, A. Redmerski from In the company of killers series, I enjoyed them nonetheless, but I felt like I knew a lot of things before reading each of them, However, I recommend these short novellas,.

After having binged several Whitney G, books in a row, I can safely say that she has, different female protagonists and.male ones. Her typical male character does not suit this story at all, She, however, is an expert in writing obstinate, entitled, and semi likable heroines and she delivered another reincarnation here that fit the story pretty well.
Nothing drives a plot along quite like an idiot,

The prologues with no fourth wall were stupid, I'm sorry, that's harsh but there is no other way to describe it, I detest selfmade claims of "you've never read anything like this before", It's the literary equivalent to a big truck and a tiny, . . eh if you know what I mean, I have lost count of how many books I've read that have made such claims, and let me tell you, not one has delivered, This series included.

I devoured Legacy of Lies in one sitting, It was awesome. There were twists, turns and sexy times, I enjoyed Meredith and Michael's journey and recommend it,

This review can act as the review for the whole shebang, . .

While this trilogy didn't blow me away, I did enjoy it and I feel grateful to have received all the ARCs for it through Whitney's newsletter.
The plot was engaging and fastpaced and I liked the characters well enough too,

But mostly, I just really appreciate what Whitney G, was trying to do here, She included acknowledgements at the beginning and ending of each book in this series in which she blatantly states that this was a passion project.
That she wrote it for herself, That she was trying to branch out more in her writing, And that she wasn't even sure this trilogy would ever see the light of day,

And so I don't want any less than stellar reviews to discourage her from having pulled the trigger on publishing this not that she will ever even read this lowly review anyway, but whatever.
As I was saying You can see that WG is definitely trying to exercise her darker side and spread her writing wings a bit, And while I can't honestly say this first foray blew me away, I can say that I definitely saw the potential in it and am supportive of her efforts.

I do wish that she had condensed it down into one single book and focused more on the relationship building between the main couple.
Relationship building is more than just sex scenes and mushy conversations which the H would metatextually remind us wouldn't be happening at the beginning of each book.
The best kind is sometimes just time spent together and conversations about nothing,

But I digress,

A decent series, if a bit underdeveloped, .
