on How to Embroider Almost Every Cute Thing: A Sourcebook of 550 Motifs + Beginner Stitch Tutorials

my daughters and I have found a love for embroidery so I couldnt wait to read through this book, In fact, I bought a copy after reading the ARC because I found the book so resourceful,

This book is full of helpful information needed for beginners such as tools needed and how to use them, how to start and finish a stitch, and how to make the basic embroidery stitches with stepbystep instructions including pictures.
The book also includes the patterns for each design with the floss number for easy replication,

I cant wait to use the patterns to spruce up tea towels or pillowcases and make Christmas ornaments for my tree!

This book would make a great gift for anyone looking for cute embroidery patterns!

Thank you to NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group for the ARC in exchange for my honest review! This book is okay.

The patterns in it are very cute, cant deny that, And theres so many of them!! Theres a very wide variety of patterns to choose from, which is a plus,
However, the patterns are very bland, not in design, but in instructions, I find them very hard to follow, and not very intuitive,
For intermediateadvanced embroiderers this book will probably be great! But definitely not beginner friendly, How to Embroider Almost Every Cute Thing includessupercute, sweet, and little embroidery motifs for just about everything you could ever want to depict with needle and thread.

From cheeseburgers and chihuahuas to earmuffs and exercise equipment, among the many charming motifs are flowers, food, animals, clothing, vehicles, sports and hobbies, letters, numbers, and decorative designs from Japans leading embroidery artists.
Use the motifs to embellish tshirts, socks, bags, table linens, and more!

What youll find inside:

Finished stitched examples, stitch guides, and templates for all the motifs
Essential stepbystep tutorials for key stitches and techniques

Bursting with fun little embroidery motifs, this book will give you the itch to stitch! I got this on Netgalley in exchange for an honest review!

I really liked this guide, and tbh I wanted to make all of it.
Immediately!!!! Will definitely have to purchase a copy, so that I can embroider more cute things!

It is also pretty easy to follow, and organized well! I received an electronic copy through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Jampacked with alphabets, borders, and hundreds of characters, foods, musical instruments and, and, and, . .

while there is a beginners' tutorial on stitching, this book might be more suited to the experienced embroidery aficionado,

You will see each of the images three times each one in color, one "pattern", and one blackandwhite version, The patterns are very small,

I gave this three instead of two simply because of the quantity and variety of motifs, thank you netGalley for allowing me to review this ARC, All my opinions are my own,

Very cute patterns that are pretty easy to follow, I am thankful for the instructions on how to transfer patterns, it will be a tip I'll be using often I received a free copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This really wasnt for me, The book is divided into two parts, The first is pictures of all the cute things, And then the pattern for the picture is in part two, Why not just have the picture and the pattern together

The pattern themselves werent great, I understand this is a beginners book but they are really basic, Instructions on how to do the different stitches werent great either, A great reference and resource book for those just beginning to embroider, I've been using it to teach several young ladies their needle arts and we have all agreed this book is a winner! This book is just too too cute! I think these little motifs are just too adorable.
And there's something for every possible occasion or event! One of my biggest issues is actually trying to decide on which one to try my hand at first,

I'm not a beginner to needlework I cross stitch but I'm a beginner to embroidery, I found the directions on how to start and finish difficult understand, despite reading it over and over again, I wish this book came with links to a video demonstrating some of these techniques to better understand it, I've tried googling "how to start and finish embroidery stitches" but they use techniques not mentioned in this book, so I'm apprehensive to actually start,

I do like to thumb through this and imagine all the designs I'll do, but as a beginner this seems a little too advanced for me, So perhaps people who are intermediate will get more mileage out of this book,

Thank you, NetGalley for providing an eARC for me in exchange for an honest review, A book absolutely packed full of embroidery ideas, this would make the perfect gift for someone who enjoys embroidery or is keen to get more into it, There is a break down of a few stitches, photographs of some ideas and then drawings that detail which stitches to use to create many different icons, letters and shapes.
The suggested number colour for DMC thread is included too, This book is so fun! Do you want ideas to add something cute to your clothes, tote bags, and anything else that you can think of This book is so full of fun things to add flair and personality to your stuff.
If you pick this up, be warned that you will get the itch to add these to almost everything in your home! I love embroidery and this book had lots of cute embroidery designs.
It is definitely full of inspiration but I personally thought there was too many designs which seemed to overload me, I would have preferred less designs and more instructions, Also more pictures of finished projects would have been good,

A lot of work has sent into the book and this shows, Definitely suits a more competent stitcher maybe a bit daunting for the less experienced, I received this ebook ARC through Net Galley from Rockport Publishers, an imprint of The Quarto Group, in exchange for a truthful review,

This title had photos of"cute things" embroidered in color, with some example finished projects included for inspiration,
The "cute things" are grouped into adorable categories, like "Fairytale animals" and "Food Alphabets",
Included were sections ideal for beginners including:
how to transfer designs
tools required
basic stitches

Very concise short pattern directions detailing floss color, number of strands and stiches to use.
are included for each item,

My favorite pattern so far isin the "Animal Friends" category: a teeny panda bear sitting atop a croissant! How cute! I can't wait to incorporate many of these designs on to various items.
Super cute book. I'm an avid crafter and I love to dabble in embroidery every now and then, This is a great book for small projects and I look forward to being able to make some of them, They will definetly be on my to do list for future projects, I want to thank Netgalley and the author for gifting me the ebook, I love this book so much! I love all the little patterns! It has everything you can imagine! The author did a great job explaining how to do certain stitches and many other information concerning embroidery.
Highly recommend! This work begins with pictures of the various collections of the embroidery patterns in the book.
I liked seeing all of them in one spot and they were numbered to make it easy to find their instructions in the book, The available patterns ranged

from zodiac animals to breakfast foods to folk art flowers to border designs, They also included a flower alphabet and a food alphabet, In total, there ended up beingunique little patterns included in this book, Detailed information about the tools required as well as instructions for certain techniques e, g. , using chalk transfer paper were also provided,

In my eBook copy, the patterns were all distorted by being noticeably elongated, This makes them unusable for tracing, which youre supposed to be able to do, Unfortunately, that was the whole point of this book having patterns to trace and embroider, This is the only reason Im detracting from my rating as the instructions and explanations were all clear, Overall, I do recommend this work, but not currently as the eBook version unless they make some formatting changes, My thanks to NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group for allowing me to read and review this wok, All thoughts and opinions expressed in this review are my own, .
