But this book with its ALL CAPS at times, it's many sounds and jangle of subterranean howls is
the real world under the skin, "The chattering alarm call / The repeated shaaakshaaakshaaak / The croaking calls / The repeated yankyank" it veers right through the blood!

for an instant, simply
cutting yourself
from the tar pit spitting
as it closes

This book is a fucking jolt! Yedda Morrison's dream is wide awake, and we're in it!
