good

This story surprised me, I thought it was just a werewolf story, I surprised to find out the main Hero was a vampire, He just happened to be a kind hearted vampire who helps a pack of werewolves, named the Omegas, save their pack against a aggressive pack.
In the mean time he falls in love with their friend Sugar, Very short book. There wasn't any chemistry between H/H, they just jump each other like horny teenagers,
"Oh! look at all those luscious curves, You look like a's pinup girl, baby" "Oh! and you are really, really muscular, Your chest and your arms and everything else, Let's have sex on the kitchen counter, you sexy vampire!!!" So not my cup of tea, I read the first book in this author's Vanguard Bootcamp series and decided to read this book, which is the original series.
Daedalus is a centuries old vampire who has become bored with his life, He runs a security business, but rarely does hands on work, Daedalus decides to offer his help to a group of misfit werewolves, Each of these werewolves is an omega who has left their pack after being mistreated, The local pack has challenged these omega werewolves to a dual, but these werewolves are geeks not gladiators.
Daedalus is going to whip them into shape, Sugar is a sweet woman who has stood by her childhood friend even after he became a werewolf.
She just wants a quite life after her chaotic childhood, Then she meets Daedalus. She is instantly attracted to him, but she doesn't agree with his methods of training the werewolves.
Daedalus woos Sugar into his bed and eventually hopes to work his way into her heart, Sugar's continues to resist her feelings, She gets a little annoying with her almost "dislike" of vampires and werewolves, Eventually Daedalus and Sugar get a Happy For Now, We don't know what their future is, This was a quick read that I overall liked, There wasn't a lot of background on Daedalus, We do get some info on Sugar's childhood, This is short so there was minimal character development, but Sugar does change a little with her feelings toward supernaturals.
There wasn't anything overtly wrong with this book, but I didn't "love" it, I just "liked" it, thus the three, Such a Sweet Novel

Short, sweet, paranormal, So many amazing favorites, I loved the sweet comedy and the fun with the characters,

A pack of five runaway omegas come together in an apartment next top Eric's best friend since childhood.
Eric hires a vampire to reach them to fight because the official pack has issued a challenge to absorb the omegas into submission.
There is so much that happens that run deeper than the blurb can possibly justify,

I think it could have used a bit more drama, considering the misconception of Sugar being Eric's mate.
I really want to read book two when available, Sugar has found herself the default Alpha female in this ragtag pack of Omegas, They may be refugees from various other packs for whatever reason, but they now call Chicago and seem to assume that as the best friend of their Alpha, Eric, she is going to be his mate!

But the neighbouring pack is not happy and lays down a challenge to the Omegas and if they lose they will be absorbed into the aggressive pack not good when most of them have suffered abuse in the same type of pack! So Eric uses his ingenuity and hires them a trainer.
He even comes with his own accommodation a glossy black coffin!

Daedalus is surprised at the request he received from Chicago but he is getting a tad restless so maybe the change will do him good! However, he did not expect to meet Sugar, the sweet little neighbour of his new recruits.
Or to fall in love with her!

Sugar, like most of us, when handed lemons determines to make the best damn lemonade she can! She will protect her friends to the best of her ability and she will NOT let some bloodsucking vampire take advantage of them! Daedalus is a great mix of Alpha male, sweet and respectful and tyrant when it comes to training!

I cannot wait to see what happens next! An absolutely kick ass book! The Omegas arena awesomw Werewolf group that need a bit of help from a Vampire.
Needless to say things get hot and neighbors are not all one would expect them to be lol.
Love theses characters, they are a full bodied group of characters that you just cant help but love.
The storyline is fun and upbeat, and it carries you from beginning to end with a smile on your face.
An absolute great read! This could have been a great book, It wasn't. There was more sex than plot, The main characters didn't know each other before the instalust hit, Sugar seriously her name is Sugar is irritating and dumber than dirt, They should have let the werewolf eat her, The book was really short, I got the feeling a lot in the middle was cut out, I actually looked back to see if I had accidentally skipped a few chapters, Nope. If you like bad porn with no plot, this may be for you, It's not my cup of tea, I thought this was a fun, sweet, sexy and quick read, .

I dont know why, maybe because every single vamp in other books, have long hair, but I loved that this one had a shaved head.
. And with his ocean blue eyes, . HOT!

We got some really steamy sex scenes, which I'm definitely not complaining about, and I thought the plot was interesting too.
.

All in all, a very good book, and I'm excited to see what numberin the series, is all about.
. Sigh I am aton my Kindle and I know very little about the Omegas that wasn't mentioned in the Amazon or Goodread blurbs.
I do know that the human and the vampire are really hot for each other and I know all the ways they want each other and I know exactly how their first sexual experience with each other went.
Now, if I had wanted to read an erotic paranormal human/vampire book, that would have been great! and I would have rated it more highly.
Sadly, I expected a story about a group of young werewolves who did not fit into standard pack dynamics seen through the eyes of their human neighbor, who incidentally also has the hots for their vampire trainer, who may return the feeling.

I have never read anything by this author before, so maybe this is the type of book she normally writes and I should have known better.
and maybe, now that SEX has occurred, we can get on with learning more about the Omegas as individual characters and as they pertain to the conflict with the other pack.
but I really don't care anymore, I may pick this up later because I find the concept of a pack of 'omegas' intriguing and live in hope of further exploration on that theme but I'm done for now.
This is a NONSPOILER REVIEW, The Omegas by Annie Nicholas is Bookof the Vanguards series, This is a rerelease of a series that was reworked and is delivered as a new and improved version.
I read it in it's former format and I loved it then and read it again last night and yes, I love it again!.
This is a sweet and spicy series that will have you falling in love with the wonderful characters and touching storyline.
You have werewolf nerds and outcasts, a human librarian best friend, a sexy and dangerous vampire and trouble! What else do you need!! There are sweet touching moments, nerve wracking interactions and the hot promise of love.
A great read that is worth the effort! Mature Readers Please, Fun Read

The Omegas are just a few damaged werewolves that aren't aggressive type of wolves.
Their leader Eric grew up with a human, Sugar who looks like a's pinup model, Then the Omegas are threatened by Chicago top werewolf gang who wants to take them over, The Omegas call on Vampire Warrior Daedalus Pal Robi and sign a contract with him to train them for an Alpha to Alpha fight.
Steamy romance between Sugar and Daedalus, This has a happy ending, I really like the writing of Annie Nicholas, When an ultimatum is sent to a bunch of were outcast by the local wolf pack alpha, they have no idea what to do.
Why, because they are not fighters, they are not aggressors in general they are not even confident if truth be told they need help.

With very little option left to them, they hire Daedalus a powerful vamp to train them up in time to take on what ever is coming their way.

In the midst of this little pack power struggle is Sugar, Sugar is a human who just happen to be friends with a pack of werevolves and now it seems a vamp.
Sugar is where she wants to be and the only thing that causes a bump in her day is worrying for her friends and the attraction that Daedalus seem to have for her.

With an alpha type vamp who has seen too much and bemoans all that has been forgotten now in residence both the Omegas and Sugar soon start to feel like running away might have been a more suitable option than to stay and learn to fight.
Daedalus however never loses and he has plans to make The Omegas ready for the fight of their lives.

I love reading book where an author mixes up the paranormal species and right from a few pages into THE OMEGAS I was invested in the battle between The Omegas and the local pack alpha as well as their struggle to find a place for themselves on their own terms.
.

The cast that Ms Nicholas put together was a nice bunch, with their varied personality and unknown stories it made for a fast read and I am hoping that each of these set of people end up getting a story for themselves eventually.

While the core of the book is actually about the training that

Daedalus put The Omega through a sweet romance developed between Sugar and Daedalus and it was really cute to watch dominant Daedalus skirt around Sugar while still trying to play the bad guy to the outcast.
Sugar was no sweet thing as her name might suggest she gave as good as she got and I had to grin at some of the antics they got up to.

I do like the plotline and I am hoping that with another book Ms Nicholas delve a bit more into this world that the omegas are striving to carve a place for themselves into.

THE OMEGA book is a first book in a series and a short read at that and as such most of the small stuff kinda slotted itself right within a few page the big stuff still needs to be resolved and I am off to read book two.
I love the characters
The way she grabs me and keeps me riveted with her characters and story lines is nothing short of spellbinding.
I was so enraptured with this book that I needed to use the bathroom but the book was in a particularly gripping point an hour later I was still turning pages while keeping my legs crossed! You know you're loving a book when it will not release you from its grip in order to use the bathroom.
I went when I finished the book, Phew!
I am excited to see where the other characters are going and I'm hoping this will be a multi book series.

Note to self: watch the fluid intake when reading Annie Nicholas books! This story could have been really good, but it fell very short of it's potential.

Sugar is friends with an outcast pack of werewolves called the Omegas, The pack hires a vampire to teach them how to fight so they can answer a challenge by a much larger pack.
Daedalus, the vampire in question, takes an immediate liking to Sugar but she just wants her life to be more normal.

This had it's moments but just felt incomplete and a bit silly at times, . . poor editing did not help, There is references to all of the characters' histories but no real stories so you never really got a good feel for them.
The Accords between supernaturals the whole idea that they "came out" to become citizens, . . just a few things I thought should have had more of a place in the story so you could fully understand the world they were living in.
