Grab Instantly And The Bride Wore Red Written By Lucy Gordon Supplied As Digital Format
just could not get into the book, The setting Beijing is one I don't often see in romance and I thought it could be promising, However, this book is painfully overwritten and I just could not get into it, I barely made it past chapter two, Olivia Daley's travel itinerary might be unusual, but she believes the best cure for a broken heart is a radical change of scenery.
Exotic, vibrant China is far enough from rainy gray England to be just that!
In the hustle and bustle of Beijing, Olivia is starting a whole new adventure.
She's mesmerized by the ancient legends of love, and soon finds herself wishing she could be the bride who wore red.
The last few chapters changed my mind about this book, I was almost going to give it one star, It's probably the longest I've taken to read a Mills and Boon as it really wasn't a page turner,
The only reason I finished this book, is because I'm trying to readbooks in a year, otherwise I would have probably ditched it half way through.
The author kept telling me how much these two characters were attracted to each other, But she never showed it, So I didn't feel it, I wasn't seeing it at all, I just had to believe the author,
I only started to feel some emotion in the last couple of chapters,
To be honest, I wonder if it's down to word count that can limit a Mills and Boon novel.
This book/story could have been expanded, it even felt a bit rushed at the end, and maybe the middle dragged out.
Too much telling, not enough showing, This book really wasn't that interesting to me, I wasn't swept away with these characters, I didn't much care for them, Sehän tuli luettua nopeasti, Ja sijoittui osittain Kiinaankin eli mikäpäs siinä, Hyvä kirja oli : this book is really good, i liked the sentiments and emotion in this book, i also really liked learning about the chinese beliefs and culture, the ending was great and touching, Christine Sparks was born in England, UK, She wanted to be a writer all her life, and began by working on a British womens magazine, As a features writer, she gained a wide variety of experience, She interviewed some of the worlds most attractive and interesting men, including Warren Beatty, Richard Chamberlain, Charlton Heston, Sir Roger Moore, Sir Alec Guiness.
