didnt get past chapterthe world building and naration was good but the dialogue was stilled and awkward.
also the main character was so confused it felt like i was seeing the story through a fog and was very irritating.
and koss is weird and doesnt respect whats his names boundaries, religion, culture, or anything really, which didnt lead to me carring about koss at all,
and theres this shit that really turned me away:
so ya.
. . didnt like. It was an ok read, if a little overwrought at times, It did end rather abruptly though and I can see no sequel in sight, Not my favourite from this author, OMG!!! I laugh so hard reading this book!
Sorry certainly it's not what you want to read in a review of an erotic book but it's true! I really laugh!
Some words about the story
Tynde the second son of the king, born with a special ability to fell others feelings, is promised to the gods.
He is raised be a wise elder, to advise kings and priests, free from base urges, . . Aka, no carnal or mental pleasure at all, He is and must be forever an innocent in all ways,
When his bother is kidnaped from this planet his father will send Tynde to look for the heir in a very hostile planet.
. . Full of HOT and Strong handsome men! Oh yes, . . Tynder will have a hell of time there, . . With this incredible dominant man, Koss, that will take Tynder as his Kundi, . . Alias "his special lover".
A WARN
Regardless the book cover this book is not a BDSM story, . . and even a Master/Pet is not what you would like if you, as me, read a lot of BDSM or D/S stories.
Koss is certainly a strong character and will be called "master" but it's not a pet/slave relationship.
In my opinion is a great lovers couple, and i miss the kinky aspect I would like to read in a story with the title "Pet, Book".
If you never read a male/male story this book is perfect, Koss will teach Tynder that two men can love each other, and the pleasure of such love is breathless.
When you read Tynder point of view you will be learning with him,
But if you are searching a BDSM or Master/Slave book you could think, as me, that something is missing.
And now, finally, why I laugh if it's an erotic book
It's Tynder fault.
ok, so the guy is innocent, and had his "willy" in a cage for all his life, . .
first naked scene he will freak out with his "willy" dangling, . . OMG! I laugh with his "strange" feeling about something dangling
Tynder call his "willy" with a special name, . . "Shame". Ok, that's kind of sad, but the loving scenes with his POV is full of phrases like "his shame was hard" or "Koss mouth closed on his shame"
Ok, and now the thing that made me laugh hysterically: Koss touch Tynder's anus and OMG HELP ME NOW starting to laugh again Tynder freak out and ask Koss why he was touching such dark part of his body!
Ok, I'm not normal.
. . is just when he said that I start to imagine another possibility, because I don't know, . . yeah nonsense, but I did imagine a light in his butt hole and Koss telling his nothing was wrong there, no monster or something hidden in the dark place.
. .
"Sure it is, Your body isn't some cesspool, or something shameful, You've been taught weird things, "
"Why would you touch there, though In that dark place, . . "
So it's a great book, but unfortunately my insane mind didn't allow me to enjoy all erotic scenes.
stars, and I can't wait to read the sequel!
Footnote: the book finish with something very interesting starting.
. . I can't wait to read about Tynder powers!!! Maybe light in that dark place is one of them!!!
ltI'm giggling again Lots of sex, but as it was well written and added to the plot, this gets a.
I am looking forward to Pets, It starts good, with a lot of potential, But after the relationship begins between the two main characters, you have to look very well to find a bit of story.
Not a whole lot to say about this book, There was too much sex, not enough explanation, and an abrupt ending, What is bad is that there should be a part two that never came I hate that, I liked the basic concept a lot and the sex was plenty hotthe theme of Tynde's enforced chastity and subsequent discovery of erotic pleasure was welldone.
However, the sex got fairly repetitive even though the book is quite short, and even from the start, the relationship was a little too sweet and luvyduvy for my taste.
I like the pet kink so long as it's not too dehumanizing/humiliating, but there was barely anything like that here.
I really wouldn't call this a slave story, Too many sex scenes, not enough plot, And where's the next book The first in the new Pets series by Mike Shade is a good mix of fantasy and scific genre Tynde is the kings younger son in a remote and retrograde planet.
Tyndes lifestyle is a mix of ancient customs, being him the third son he is destined to the priesthood first son is the heir, second son is the replacement, just in case, third son is not necessary and can be given over to the church.
Plus Tynde is a seer, and so the Church highly wants to take possession of his powers a man fated to being a priest has to be pure, and to avoid any temptation, Tynde is living with a chastity belt that not only prevent him to touch himself, but makes also very painful to have any sexual desires or thoughts.
Tynde doesnt know nothing of the real life, he is like a child with the body of a man, and moreover, he has also a very quiet and submissive core, and so he has no rebellion feelings, if not being scared of when he will eventually become a real priest, since he will be castrated.
Then one day Tyndes brother, Towan, the heir, disappear, and voices are that he was taken in slavery in a near planet Tyndes father, the king, asks him to go to the rescue, and this is probably the most unlikely rescue team, since Tynde is totally unaware and useless in a stranger world.
As soon as he reaches Kion, the new planet, Tynde is taken under custody of Koss, a businessman who took a fancy on him in the shuttle between the two planets.
Without much of Tyndes opinion, he is turned in a Kundi, basically a concubine, something slightly better than a slave for only the reason that he is cherished and taken care of like an important treasure.
Koss tells Tynde that he will help him find his brother Towan, but this first novel is more or less spent with Tynde in Kosss bedroom, learning all the wicked flesh pleasure he was always unaware of.
Kions planet is very different from Alaquis, Tyndes home planet: where Alaquis is almost a medieval society, with people living of farming and trade, in a mostly green space, Kion is a futurist society, with skyscrapers and pollution.
Its like changing genres inside the same novel, when the story is set in Alaquis it has almost a fantasy feeling, and instead, when changing planets, in Kion it becomes a scifiction tale.
Plus there is the limbo, meaning Kosss house, and specifically Kosss bedroom, where the story is without time, the story of a Master who is teaching is pet to become the perfect lover.
Koss is really gentle and kind with Tynde, and he would be almost paternalistic if not for the simple reason that Tynde has not in him to be independent I have never felt in him any rebellion feelings, he was resigned to become a priest, and when that changed, he is good with the idea of being a concubine, if only someone tells him that is good and not sin.
Tynde has not really a strong core, he is like a sweet pet, trusting and innocent, easy to be harmed since he has no a bad bone in him.
If you like the submissive partner to being a “top from the bottom”, Tynde is absolutely not like that: he is the perfect submissive and his only desire is to be good for his Master, and he wants, and needs, to be told how to do that.
sitelink amazon. com/dp/BKVI/, . . Pets, Book One: Sparkling by Mike Shade is a fastpaced and creatively interesting book from start to finish.
I was immediately captivated by both of the main characters and the sweet and loving relationship that develops between them as the novel progressed.
Im super excited that this is the first book in a series and Im waiting on pins and needles for the next book to be released!
Tynde is the second son of a King.
At his home planet Alaquis, and because he is the second son, and that he has some special gifts, hes been expected to become a priest and become a seer to the noble royalty.
Tynde has accepted his fate for years, Hes a sweet, intelligent and gentle man who spends most of his time reading and preparing himself for his destiny in the Priory.
When Tyndes older brother, and the future King is kidnapped, Tynde is shocked when he is commanded by his father to travel to Kion, where his older brother is suspected of being taken there.
Tynde does as his father asks, but he knows he is way out of his element, The two planets are nothing alike, and Tynde is not used to the culture and rather fierce people who live there.
Even Tyndes smaller stature and dark good looks is a rare commodity there, When Tynde literally runs into the gorgeous and wealthy, Koss, hes immediately taken under Koss care,
Koss cant believe his good fortune to meet such a man like Tynde, His utter innocence and sweet nature immediately captivate Koss and he knows in his heart that Tynde is the man for him.
Koss claims Tynde as his Kundi, and literally sweeps the naïve and innocent Tynde off of his feet.
But, Tynde and others believe that he is destined for the Priory, Will Koss be able to convince Tynde to decide whats best for himself or will be forced to join the order and miss out on the once in a lifetime love thats been given to him.
Will Koss and Tynde be able to find Tyndes lost brotherand does his brother really want to be found
I loved this book! I thought that Koss stubborn and patiently dominant nature was perfect for the sweet and submissive Tynde.
As a wellmatched pair, it was wonderful to watch them fall in love and nurture the feelings that blossomed between them.
Koss is very sweet and loving with Tynde, Even though his guidance has a tendency to overwhelm the sheltered Tynde, Koss is always loving, patient and is very supportive of Tynde and his special gifts.
I cant wait until the sequel is released! Although the book ended on a happy note, there are many unanswered questions that will hopefully be answered in the second book.
It will be interesting to see what will happen when Tyndes father, the King, finds out about Tyndes choice to stay with Koss, and there is the unanswered mystery about what happened to his brother.
