Experience Fodor's New England Narrated By Debbie Harmsen Exhibited In Leaflet
New Englandth Edition by FodorsI've been using this travel guide to plan a New England trip next October, There is an overwhelming amount of travel information online at various websites, but I was finding it very time consuming to sift through it, narrow it down and plan a route for our trip.
Fodor's helped me considerably to highlight the places we really wanted to see in anday trip, choose a route and list the sights along the way, The guide is chockfull of information on the small towns and villages, places to see, historic sites, scenic routes, expected weather, etc,
I tend to
ignore the hotel and restaurant lists in guide books, as they are never current enough, and of course, they don't include any reviews TripAdvisor, Hotels.
com, and other online resources are much more useful in that regard, In my opinion those sections could be eliminated from guide books altogether, reducing the weight and page count considerably, The included map is okay for an overview, but not detailed enough for our purposes, so I ordered a AAA map to use instead,
Whether you're looking for a general overview of New England, or detail in most of the towns and cities along the way, you'll find this a very useful resource.
