Rosemary is a woman who is about to embark on a brave journey, She is finally taking steps to start living again after a divorce that shook her to her toes, She thought she had it all but it was a smoke screen and she never saw the truth, During the course of this story, the heroine faces a lot of revelations about herself some were sad, others empowering and a few were quite exciting, I really thought the author got into Rosemarys head and I felt very connected to her throughout the story, I enjoyed her sense of humor and the authors as well, A great example is the humorous situation the author put her in when she finally met the hero for real, Honest to goodness, that whole scene had me in stitches, I could visualize how flustered Rosemary must have been and what it would have looked like with her purchases spread about, It was sort of sweet too and Deans reaction was everything I could have hoped for as a hero,

Speaking of which when I first started reading this story, I had no idea it was the sequel to the book about Deans brother Fletcher and when I did realize, I squealed in glee.
That first book was so awesome and Im thrilled to say that this story started out from the getgo with great character personalities, conflict and dialogue, Its no wonder I was having such a good time so early in the book, It is in keeping with what I experienced the first time,

Dean is the laid back, mild tempered and mannered brother who does everything right and who is the towns favorite person, That is what they see, I got to meet a whole other side of the hero and I had a ball, For a guy who can give good advice to others he certainly doesnt seem to do so well for himself, In fact he flubs it so bad it made a great conflict, Hes not as perfect as he appears and I appreciated that, He had to work really hard to woo Rosemary and just when he thought he was getting his own dreams to come true, his lack of finesse and good sense blows up in his face.
What a classy scene though,

To get back in the heroines good graces was as romantic and wonderful as a romance reader could wish, But was it enough Its up to both of them to reach out to each other and meet in the middle and I was never quite sure who was going to do what.
I liked the authors choice and it was very well done and quite hysterical, The poor witness didnt know if she was in a skit for Saturday Night Live or what but I had an awesome time watching it unfold, It was really cute and one of my favorite scenes,

The authors choices for secondary characters really contributed to my enjoyment, Rosemarys family is a hoot and the town folk are terrific, It was great to see Fletcher again and his kids and for me it raised the bar for entertainment but I want to assure readers that this is a solid stand alone.
You dont need to have read Deans brothers story to think this book rocks it does it all on its own,

Another well done component of Something Unexpected is when Dean and Rosemary explore the physical side of their relationship, For readers who like a good balance of spiciness with romance, this book presents a successful foray into love, horizontal style, Another good scene is when Dean gets Rosemary all noodlelike, I adored the dialogue and the outcome, I was almost envious except when the hiccups started, That was a clever and amusing touch that Ms, Warren used in spectacular fashion,

Something Unexpected is a sweet and entertaining romance sure to touch a readers heart with its tender moments mixed with saucy humor and the zing of love explored.
I think Ms. Warren is a wonderful author and cant wait to see what she writes about next, This has been a completely enjoyable reading experience,

News Update!: Life, love and family, Starting with April titles, Silhouette Special Edition books will be published as Harlequin Special Edition, Ok I did like this book, but there are times when the author must have gotten mixed up called Rosemary, Claire, This was very frustrating as I ended up having to reread a few lines, to make sure I'd not missed anything,

Even though I would recommend it to others, it was confusing at times, I prefered Dean's brother's story better than this book which I felt was slow paced and found it hard to finish at times, The book seemed interesting when I read the summary for it, but I just couldn't get as invested in the characters as I normally would, Wendy laid a great foundation, There was a slow buildup to characters you could like and respect but the female's lead constantly talking to herself between important decisions e, g. , pregnancy confession, wedding proposal was a killer for me, I constantly had to reread pages to see if I missed something when actually she could not respond to a straight deal with at least two pages of wouldashouldacoulda.
I think that rang a death knell that and some incongruency with scenes, Why would she be so upset with his agenda when constantly throughout the book Dean kept showing what a good guy he was Yet in flashbacks with the exhubby anyone can see he was a total jerk.
Anyway, the crowding of scenes at the end was another killer for me and the ending was disappointing, It was fairly lighthearted and entertaining, But I had some issues with it, I was hoping for a romance with a little bit more oompf to it it's perfectly fine that it's a squeaky clean romance, but their kisses even lacked steam.
I wanted a bit more, . . but it is what it is, My biggest issue was the "big misunderstanding" which IMHO was not really a misunderstanding, It was almost as though the author wanted to make our hero's "deception" such that he could still be the all around good guy that he is, It worked too well. I didn't see the hero's deception as a deception at all, I couldn't find anything wrong with his omission, . . especially considering His big deception was that he didn't tell her he had to get married in order to get his inheritance.
This would have been a huge deception if they'd married for love, but in reality it was the heroine that suggested marriage in the first place and only to please the conservatives in town regarding their out of wedlock pregnancy.
And he needed to stay married foryears initially she suggested a year and a half and hero went along with it, never even suggesting they go foryears.
It was the heroine that eventually suggested thatyears made more sense, The ONLY thing the hero is guilty of is not admitting that all of the heroine's suggestions and ideas happened to coincide perfectly with his getting his inheritance, BFD. And he never even made it an issue anyway since he'd taken care of things so their marriage didn't affect the inheritance anyway, She made a big deal out of nothing and that irritated me, This is a wonderful new addition to Wendy Warren's Honeyford series, I loved the characters, the story, and Honeyford, Can I move there If you love sweet stories this novel is for you, Love a book with some mystery, This one pulled it together, Rosemary Jeffers knew she was in trouble when the handsome stranger who'd romanced her on the dance

floor turned out to be the pharmacist in her new hometown! Dean Kingsley wasn't merely irresistiblehe was an honorable man who played for keeps.
And they were about to share a whole lot more than a slow dance, After all, she was having his baby,

Dean needed a wifeor he'd lose his business, So Honeyford's favorite son came up with the ideal solution: Marry the mothertobe! The onceburned librarian wasn't interested in happy endings, but dedicated Dean vowed to prove once and for all that their surprise encounter had led to something totally unexpectedand he wouldn't take "I don't" for an answer!
