Receive Fearless 2: Twisted; Kiss; Payback Articulated By Francine Pascal Available As Volume

dared myself to read a book for a month from an author I am not familiar with.
But I just read this book for a week, I haven't read the first book of this series and it was regretful since I think it contains more on the idea how things started with Gaia's life and Sam's accident to Ed Fargo and Heather's.
This book is interesting. I mean how would you react if someone attacks you with an intent to kill I'd be afraid.
But Gaia was awesome. She felt a surge of thrill and excitement, Even with life at stake, she still wants to live like a normal girl, To be loved by her crush and all, Without thinking about their safety nor your life, first two parts were good, . . last one was wierd The next set of books featuring Gaia, a high school student, who lacks the fear gene and is a black belt in karate and very good in other selfdefense.
Gaia's hobby seems to include beating up bad guys in the park,

Twisted
A serial killer has been going around slashing and killing woman who look just like Gaia.
Gaia and Sam are both concerned and worried about Gaia,

Kiss
Sam is torn between Heather and Gaia, Heather is his girlfriend, but he feels as if he is in love with Gaia, At the same time Ed has feelings for Gaia too, which Gaia is unaware of,

Payback
Gaia lives with a friend of her father's, For some reason, Ella, his wife is acting strange and dislikes Gaia, I would like to continue reading the series to find out what's going on with that, It was hinted at the Ella wasn't who she seemed, almost like she was a spy working for the other side.
What does that have to do with Gaia

Heather is jealous when her boyfriends Sam is very worried when he sees someone on tv hurt wearing Gaia's jacket and he is panicking thinking that Gaia has died.

I looked and there are several more books in this series, which is great as I would like to continue reading them.
However, I don't see anymore available at my local libraries, which is too bad as books are expensive and I normally borrow my books.
I'll have to look around and see if I can't find the rest of the series somewhere as this has been a fun series to read so far.

More of my book reviews can be found at sitelink blogspot. com/ Love, love, love! Pascal keeps you guessing at every turn! ahhh i love francine pascal so much.
her books always have the best fight scenes and witty characters that make interactions, whether speech or violence, totally worth the read.
i've been enjoying this particular trilogy bc i love seeing who gaia was before the fbi, her lack of fear doesn't make her any less human, just another kind of human: missing something, but gaining something else.
something more. she rises and she falls, she makes mistakes but she comes back riding glory or she doesn't, she comes back and doesn't take the credit, bc she is that person, too.
i'm really excited but also dreading to see what the last book holds, No fear. No room to fail. Three adrenalineracing thrill rides in a smart and sexy series, packaged in one bold book,

Gaia Moore is brilliant and beautiful, Shes trained in three kinds of martial arts, has a reflex speed thats off the charts, and can break codes in four languages.

Shes also missing the fear gene,

Special attributes and fearlessness aside, Gaia simply wants a regular life, one with friends, and maybe even a boyfriend.
And although the guy she really wants is still utterly unavailable, there are other options, Like the new dark and mysterious boy who is definitely interested, Gaia might be ready to take a walk on the wild side, but her love life is nothing compared to the danger thats closing in.

Still on the search for information about her family, Gaia is finding out more and more each dayand one of her friends might be behind everything.
Gaia must figure out who is about to betray herand the wrong decision could be deadly, The firstbooks were fine and then I just had a hard time getting through the third book.
I like Gaia it is just taking forever to get more of the year story out, i LOVE this series!!!!! i am so stoked that this came out, i actually had no idea until i saw it at the bookstore!!!!!
i have also written individual reviews on the page for the books by themselves.

,stars.
i love these books!

they are fast paced, and i love the alternating pov chapters/sub chapters.

a book you can easily devour in one day, . . as long as you don't have to go to work or school!

i'm reading the omnibus with, but am doing separate reviews for the individual books.

i thought it was pretty clear who the murderer was, but not right away, so points for that.
i also liked that the murderer had a few of his or her own sub chapters in their pov.

i really like the writing style, and the uniqueness of the series, there are only a few things that date the book, . . remember, it was originally publishedyears ago, but not horribly dated, like mentioning pagers and pay phones anita blake anyone

only other issue i have, and it is a snall one, is blond v blonde.
blonde is for a female, blond is male, most people don't know that, so i don't hold it against them, but i can't stand when an author will randomly alternate between thespellings for the same character, like they're not sure, so instead of looking it up, they're just gonna use both in the hopes that some are right, instead of getting them either all right or all wrong.
Ms. Pascal does NOT do this, which i appreciate, consistently, through out the book she only uses "blond" regardless of the sex, i respect this MUCH more! she's sticking to her guns, right or wrong!

just going off the title, is Gaia going to FINALLY get her first kiss!!!!

.
stars

only one inconsistency, and it may not really be one, i may have just misinterpreted it.
ella makes a plan in secret from her "boss" and fears what he might do when if he finds out.
later, he knows about the plan and is going along with it, in the next book, he knows nothing of her involvement

Fast, entertaining read.
Not the most cohesive plots, but they're fun, and I really like Gaia, Some of the namedropping was jarringly contemporary, though, obviously updated for the new editionsJustin Bieber and LMFAO definitely weren't on the pop culture scene in.
Where do I even start

Characterization for Gaia definitely picked up but at the end of Payback, the overall plot still hasn't picked up and I can't take it anymore.

Six books in and Sam and Gaia haven't even had a real conversation yet, they claim to be so in love but this relationship is slower than Jethro taking a Calculus test.

I got excited when Loki came into the picture and her dad came in, and I thought there was actually finally going to be some real plot development.

But Loki's evil plans just dropped off the face of the planet and I'm sick of the lack of overall plot this series has.

It lost two for plot and one for the Godawful romance, I always love these bindups can't wait to continue this series, This book is hilarious! You'll find yourself laughing and then reading and then laughing again, The thoughts and actions of the characters are so diverse that you want to know each of them well, especially Gaia, queen of asskickings.
But then the story was quite getting nowhere, like something happens and then 'now what', Things about her father, uncle, cousin and whatever are still wrapped in mystery,
I finished thispage babe half satisfied and half exasperated, especially about how little Sam and Gaia met and get things done.
There were too many twists and turns in their relationship, which was somehow tiresome,
But all in all, the was a total kickass! Quite interesting, I think Gaia can be a little naive, but I admire her fighting skills, She does need an injection of sekfconfidence, though, I'm really loving Gaia! Such a strong female character is so great, I'm frustrated that things keep coming between her and Sam,.stars

WHY IS THE WORLD SO HELLBENT ON KEEPING SAM AND GAIA APART! ARGHH!

I hate when the author gives us a perfect Sam and Gaia moment, but then everything comes crashing down right after! WHY PASCAL! WHY DO YOU DO THIS TO ME.
This is seriously forbidden love to a whole new level where the universe is LITERALLY against them, It makes me want to cry,

Other than that little rant, I absolutely love these series! Seriously though, why isbooks in the series necessary My library just got Fearlesslast month and now I need to request the other books Oh goodness, that's going to be a lot of requests from me.

Anyways, I loved these three books and it seems that Gaia gets even more awesome in each book.
I WISH I DIDN'T HAVE THE FEAR GENE, Then I could kick some boootay, I loved this book just as much as I loved the first one, maybe even more, Even though this includes the nextbooks in the series, and was altogether quite long, it didn't feel like it at all.

The writing was amazing as always, and I really enjoyed all the action! Now I just have to order the nextbook omnibus, and after that all the rest of the books.
I'm totally hooked. This was on of my favorite book series during high school, about an urban girl whose father works for the CIA.
She was born without the fear gene so she is able to stand up to injustice at all times.
.

This series started off so well, So disappointed that it really hasn't gone anywhere, I wanted to read of her breaking a code in one of her supposed four languages, I began to get frustrated that every single chapter is disjointed from the one before as in, it doesn't flow immediately on.
Things like that don't normally bother me, but it did with this book it just got a little tiresome.

I still love the characters, the plot just started to go a little downhill and I just can't be bothered reading theor so other books in this series now.
When I first read the description and the whole "lack of a feargene" I honestly expected so much more from this book! It sounded intriguing and offered great promises that it just didn't seem to deliver.
While I do appreciate all the characters and did enjoy some moments of the book, overall it seemed plotless, jumbled, and pointless.
Where was the series going Where had it been How did we even get from Point A to Point B There wasn't a clear process of character or plot development that you could trace back, and the whole "lack of feargene" was so underdeveloped.
Aside from giving Gaia an excuse to beat people up

and have inhuman physical abilities, it didn't really advance the plot in the way that I thought it would.
I was gravely disappointed in this book and I'm very confused as to why so many people seem to love it Not that it was the most boring or pointless book I had ever read but, as limited as my reading time it lately, I do feel that it was a waste of valuable time that could have been better spent on a book with developed plots, characters, conflicts, and resolution.
Gaia just seems to stumble from problem to problem with no clear direction or motivation and it's not endearing or adorable, it's annoying and frustrating.
Even the whole underplot of people sneaking around and manipulating her life wasn't interesting enough to save this book in my opinion.
i want to read the next one so bad, but it'sdollars for apage book, not happening.
. yet. i love these books so much, so relatable and interesting, eventually i do want to continue the series, even though the entire thing isbooks, but if it continues to be good, i'll tread on: Francine Pascal May,is an American author best known for creating the Sweet Valley series of novels.
