Find Robocopter Ski Patrol Scripted By Aaron C. Cross Shown As Textbook
Cross creates a world that makes me step back and think, is he writing about the here
and now, or the future, The book blurb said some year, so maybe it is this year and he is psychic and KNOWS the inner workings of the world, Oh crap! I hope I'm wrong! The world that Mr, Cross creates is very real and very chaotic,
This is a not a deep over the edge book that is so serious you will get bored with it, It's quirky, the characters are all well, characters, You'll laugh, you'll shake your head, but you will enjoy it, There are some confusing parts, but it's meant to be that way, its like a riddle inside of a riddle, Maybe. Did that confuse you Because it did me! The world is at risk! Are you brave enough to join the motley crew Do you have the nerve! Can you love the girl and rescue the country at the same time
I enjoyed this book, it was different than what I'm used too, but still enjoyable.
I've mentioned this book to several people in passing, Especially if they have a quirky sense of humor, I couldn't help but think of SpaceBalls and The HitchHiker's Guide to the Galaxy, When I saw the cover to this book and read the synopsis, I thought I knew exactly what I was getting into: lots of slapstick, schlock, lowbrow ridiculousness and sarcastic, tongueincheek humor.
Now having read it, I can confidently say that this book is everything it purports to be,
I saw a review that compared it to Spaceballs, Mel Brooks comes to mind, sure, but so does Monty Python, Fans of movies like Yellowbeard, Life of Brian, and Eric the Viking would probably find this an amusing read, It also has a kind of cartoonish feel at times, like a more Rrated version of Looney Toons which I am not ashamed to admit I still like,
The story and the characters are silly, No other way to put it, But they are SUPPOSED TO BE SILLY! If you are not one for random and sometimes nonsensical humor, this is probably not the book for you,
In fact, this book is certainly not for everybody, But for its target audiencefans of the type of humor exemplified by the aforementioned shows/moviesthis book actually works quite well, My only complaint would be the formatting: doublespaced and maybe needs a bit of a cleanup,
The author has a knack for humor, though, and his book borders on bizarro, Perhaps he would fit in well with the folks over at Eraserhead, His work is certainly of the same quality as sitelink , and would probably appeal to the same readership, The year is some year. Let's say the present. Yellow cake uranium sits, waiting to be sold, in a foreign country, The leader hides himself away, fearing assassination as he should, because that's how the country works, It's kind of a stupid country, And well he should worry, for skulking his way around Europe is an ambitious Baron just looking for the right opportunity to seize the throne and all the powers and chances that come with it.
If only his pets would stop exploding, . . Across the ocean, Adam Bitchenstein attempts to win over Miss Girl from Ipanema for the nth time, However, a phone call from out of the blue will change everything in their lives forever, It's always a phone call, right Join Adam, Miss Girl from Ipanema, and a cast of idiots and perverts as they seek to stop the balance of world power from changing before it's too late.
Also, there's a Robocopter. Not sure if you picked that up but, . . it's kind of important. The author also writes under A, C. Cross. .
