a share in a racehorse syndicate seems like a good idea to Share and Share Alike's Tessa HawkesburyLoye, the artistically inclined protagonist at the center of the story.
Recently back from Malta, Tessa is looking for a way to integrate herself back into Aspen Valley's social scene as well as take her mind off the events that drove her home to the UK.
Things are going well at first: the horse is winning, Tessa's making friends, and there's more than one eligible bachelor among the syndicate's members.
Disaster strikes when the horse is deliberately injured someone close to the syndicate is responsible, and the culprit must be found before blame is placed on the innocent.

Share and Share Alike is author Hannah Hooton's third entry in the Aspen Valley series, Reading the other novels isn't necessary to understand or enjoy this book, While classified as a romance novel, there's very little bodiceripping instead, the book focuses on the ups and downs of racehorse ownership and the mystery of the horse's purposeful injury.
Romantic encounters and relationships are written to accompany the story not to overwhelm it, Readers looking for steamy bedroom scenes and silly euphemisms will be better served by another tome,

Share and Share Alike is a wonderfully enjoyable book, Hooton's writing style is fastpaced but easy to read, Her descriptions of races are excellent they're full of the thrill and tension any racegoer experiences while rooting for their favorite horse to win.
Descriptions of horses, their care, and their training are accurate, The mystery elements of the story were also well done, Hooton keeps readers guessing throughout the book, and when the criminal is finally revealed, it's a surprise, Relationships between characters are believable and develop naturally nothing seems forced or awkward,

While some may be disappointed that Share and Share Alike isn't a book about racing itself but the relationships that form between people involved with it, most readers will enjoy the engaging story and the outstanding writing.
I received a complimentary copy in exchange for an honest review

The third in the series has more of suspense feel to it than the others, I have to say it didnt work for me.
I dont really do suspense even when its paired with romance, so I found myself enjoying this novel less than the first two, I did enjoy how much love these characters had for animals, As someone who loves all animals I am that person who wont step on a spider!, it warmed my heart to see their devotion.

The bottomline is that, despite not enjoying the mystery/suspense aspect, it was an enjoyable read, The characters are easy to like and their actions make more sense than those of characters in the previous installment, This was one of those novels where I enjoyed reading about the journey rather than reading towards the goal,

Its also much easier to pick up on the language after read a few of these novels, If you are not used to European, particularly British, terms, then it could throw you off, The author makes sure these dont actually interfere with the story, however,

I don't like horse racing but I love these books Hannah Hooton draws you in to the world of racing I was on the edge of my seat more than once brilliant storytelling loved it Tessa, has bought into a syndicate for Ta' Qali, who is a horse that you meet in the second book.
This syndicate is made of a few different people who have bought the horse, so instead of one owner the horse has many, Ta'Qali is injured and based on the injury, the group is put under investigation, The big question Who did it Also along the way she fights her attraction to Sin, one of the members, She tries to hate him, but she finds that hard to do, Tessa seems a bit harsh at the start, but along the way she starts feeling more for the horse and it shows a softer side to her in my opinion.
As the book proceeds I grew to like her more, while at the first I didn't so much,

Share amp Share Alike was different then the first two books, The love and caring for these animals is very much present, I have always been an animal lover and this book really tugged at my heart over Ta'Qali, Besides the love of the animals, this book really brought a good mystery, Who hurt Ta'Qali Why What's the motive It really made it hard to put down,

I have to say that while this book was different it was also very good, I absolutely loved the ending, It was a funny and romantic end to the book, I'm looking forward to the next book in this series, Stormi

sitelink facebook. com/BBs Tessa thought buying a share in the dysfunctional Ta' Qali Racehorse Syndicate would be the perfect distraction from a life best forgotten.
Some are willing to distract her with words of woo, while others are able to distract her with just a nonchalant look,

But neither Hugh's flirtations nor Sin's disregard are diversion enough when their horse, Ta Qali, is found deliberately injured, Someone close is responsible and Tessa finds herself questioning the innocence of everyone around her,

With his nobbler still at large, the race is on to get Ta Qali fit and on course in time to prove himself the champion Tessas always believed him to be.
But he isnt the only one up against the clock, Love is threatening to leave without her and win, lose or draw, Tessas in for the ride of her life, . . Honestly my favorite so far in the story, I felt like there was so much story and so much to get involved in I loved Tessa and Sin is my new book boyfriend at least for a couple of days alright.
It was pretty amazing and the characters even those who were not the main characters made you fall in love all over again, This took awhile to read, it wasn't as interesting as the first two, Wow this book was so good, It had me by the edge of my seat the whole time I was reading it, I am giving this book five butterflies because it is so good, Tessa HawkesburyLoye is the only daughter of Lord HawkesburyLoye and the only kid he dislikes currently, Tessa has always been a free spirit and one that doesnt like the way that her mother used to treat everyone else in a snobby way.
Tessa has traveled to a whole lot of different places and from one of those places she found out that she had a talent with making jewelry and started her jewelry business.
While she was on those trips though she didnt do so well in the dating department and doesnt really know what to do about it anymore.

She meets F, D. Sinclair at the Aspen Valley Racing Stables showing of the horses and he is just so mysterious for her, Tessa makes a lot of assumptions of Sin as he likes to be called Sin instead of F, D. throughout the book. She also listens to rumors about things Sin did, Tessa having formed a opinion of him, wouldnt hang out with Sin all that much, All the while this is happening the whole Ta Qali Racehorse Syndicate is being followed by TV cameras for their reality TV show but that is only on things that are revolving around their horse Ta Qali.

While all of that is happening someone nobbled their horse so that Ta Qali couldnt race anymore and of course that brought a whole investigation that centers around the whole Syndicate as suspects in their own horses nobbling.
Even though a whole bunch of them fell of the suspects list, This whole thing with Ta' Qali was the biggest mystery in the whole book and I thought I knew who it was, I was so totally wrong about my assumption, However. I was kept guessing right along with Tessa and everyone else, They did catch the guy thankfully to Tessas smart idea of entering him into another race, Everyone in this book gets a happy ending as well including Ta Qali,

Overall I would recommend reading Share and Share Alike by Hannah Hooton to everyone at least adults to read it, it is a little much for the young adults.

com This book hadstories, They all were good. Just found out there aremore of the series out there, Will definitely have to find them,
Since I had horses when I was young snd trained my mare "Dixie" for home races, I understand the thrill of being on a horse and flying down the track with the wind in my hair.
She wasn't a jumper, but Wooo, Romance and horses, Oh Yea! I grew up loving children's series about horse racing, I loved reading the black stallion books by Walter Farley, Every race I would silently cheer on the Black and the entire race my pulse would be pounding in anticipation, This love of horse racing books was what lead me to Hannah Hooton's books in the first place, Her books combine horse racing and romance,

Hannah's series of horse racing books follows fictional characters in the world of British horse racing I have learned a whole lot about British horse racing from reading this series.
Each book offers a different perspective of the horse racing world in amazing detail,

This book looks at the life of a woman who decides to buy a share of a horse with some other people.
She doesn't know most of the people who are also buying into the horse, but she gets to know them in as they cheer on their horse at different races, and at different parties the group goes to.

Everything goes wrong for the group when their horse is purposefully injured and it is suspected that it is someone in their group.
In the midst of this turmoil romance is developing for her with one of the members of the group,

Hannah Hooton has created yet another well crafted romance with a good plot and lots of heart pounding horses races where you never know which horse is going to win.

The romance in her story is well developed and the characters take time to fall in love, The romance is well crafted admits the plot, The plot does not revolve around the romance, Instead, the romance in the story revolves around the plot,

This story is a good read for horse lovers and people who just want a romance story, It works as part of a series, or as a standalone if you have never read any other books by Hannah Hooton's, It will give you some spoilers to the other books, but each book is a good standalone story, I highly suggest reading all of Hannah Hooton's books if you haven't already,
