My Thoughts:

It's funny, . . I didn't even read the synopsis when I requested this one, so when I started reading it, I was going in completely blind, I knew it would be a romance, and it IS a Blaze book, so I knew it would be a good one, Turns out, diving into it without knowing wasn't a bad idea at all!

Laci and Kane have a past, one that ended in going their separate ways because they each had different dreams.
She achieves those dreams, but it was at the expense of losing him, They've both lived their lives apart, and now that they're together in the same place again, it's hard not to be tempted, Their passion isn't one to tame, and they still care a great deal about each other, But is it possible for them to work through the differences and have their lives meet somewhere in the middle

The Hottest Ticket in Town was a charming story.
These two former lovers still have chemistry, and you can feel the love under the surface, You can't help but cheer them on to find middle ground and work through everything, Kimberly Van Meter brought their story to life for sure!

My Rating: Very Good A true second chance love story, The Hottest Ticket in Town was a fairly solid read.


Laci and Kane never got over each other, but thankfully, they had their chance to make things work, Time, responsibilities and a pushy manager could not stop what was meant to be, Soon, these two would find out what they were made of and have to make a decision that could affect the rest of their lives,

Needing a break from the hassles of a fast paced career driven life Laci McCall escapes back home to everything she left behind, She never expects to find Kane Dalton occupying her home, Kane and Laci fell in love but somewhere along the way let life tear them apart, Gifted with this second chance will they get it right or will the outside world rip them apart again Kimberly Van Meter is a new author to me and I have to say this story is definitely a favorite of mine.
Would love to read more of her books, Received an ARC of this book for an honest review, Sighs oh Kane, he's sexy even when he's spouting crap off and complaining reminiscing about the good ole' days with his woman, "yeah, visions of Warren kicking my scrawny a wasn't really a turnon," he growled, ripping his shirt from his body and tossing it to the floor.
" Laci she knows how to stroke a man's ego, "her fingers finding and curling around his ready erection, "You have the prettiest c, you know that" Her responses are smarta and I liked that, "she laughed and latched onto his c, shocking and arousing him at the same time.
"Well, I manhandles this just a few minutes ago and I seemed to do a pretty good job of it, " I enjoyed this book Kane was exactly what I want a man strong, sexy, independent, and did I mention sexy Not my cup of tea this book

just did not work for me.

By ChapterI was still giving the Bookas their drama had a high school feel about it, and I had grown tired of the 'quaint southern countryisms' the book is sprinkled with.


I found the writing style somewhat awkward and there were a couple of places in the book where the events jumped back and forth and I lost my place.

Kimberly Van Meters first venture into the Harlequin Blaze line actually set the pages on fire, Laci and Kane, once the shock of finding the other one in their bed, made damn sure that the old mattress got the workout of its life,

First loves have a way of finding you again, Sometimes it works out and sometimes it doesnt, But, with two pigheaded, stubborn people, working your way back to each other could be both fun and frustrating, Believe me, Laci was frustrated and wanted answers as to why he walked away, Kane is brutally honest and tells her exactly why, even though it would hurt her and tarnish the memory of her father, Kane was frustrated with the way Laci was being treated by her Manager and couldnt understand why she put up with him, No matter what he said, she just kept insisting he was a good person, That is, until he finally shows his true colors, All bets are off and Laci finally realizes what is more important than fame Kane,

Now, dont get me wrong, Kane rubbed me the wrong way a few times, He is one stubborn country boy and just refused to let go of what he thought was best for Laci, And, in reality, that was the problem, Everyone thought they knew what was best for Laci and everyone refused to listen to her, It took betrayal, a death, a night in the pump house and finally, a productive conversation for both of them to find the middle ground and solve their problems.


I really enjoyed “The Hottest Ticket in Town”, It was a quick, enjoyable read, You can tell it was also written by a seasoned author even though I havent read her before, Everything kept moving. You would just get used to Laci and Kane being in bed together, making love sometimes raunchy, hard and fast and sometimes slow and sweet and the next thing you know, their fighting.
Just like any normal relationship, I loved Kanes protectiveness and Lacis in your face attitude, The story was steamy, sweet and heartbreaking, Ms. Van Meter has me totally looking forward to Rians story, Hes described as a manwhore in this book so I am looking forward to seeing the kind of woman who brings him down,

I enjoyed this book and really liked the hero and heroine, Laci was a little immature at times, which was frustrating, It was steamy hot and the hero and heroine had a lot of chemistry, although a few of the love scenes felt forced and artificial like the author wasn't quite comfortable.

Miniseries: The Wrong Bed I really enjoyed this book, It had me crying at time and it had me laughing at others, Smoking hot Kane is doing the right thing, Going home to a town that left bad memories to watch over his beloved friend's ranch was even better when Laci showed up, Laci's singing career stardom had taken it's toll and exhaustion drove her to her childhood summer home, Kane, her first and true love, being there was just what the doctor ordered, Can past hurts be mended Will Kane claim Laci again Can Laci push past geographical differences and make it work Great story!
