was excited when J, S. Frankel released a sequel to LindsayampJo and gave me a review copy, Of course, since we are already friends, he didn't ask for a review, but I follow a simple principlewhen I like a book, I give it a review.
It doesn't cost me anything and it makes the author happy, And, as an author, I know how much that means,
That being said, I admit I liked the second volume even better than the first, Lindsay, the main character, shows a much more mature side, it's obvious the 'hero journey' she's been through in the first volume helped her grow up.
I liked that she's facing most of this second adventure alone, like some sort of a rite of passage,
The plot is very elaborated and exciting and it will keep you constantly on the edge, The only thing I didn't like was how many characters had to die oops spoiler Yeah, it made me sad : But, you know what That's what makes a book greatnegative emotions are part of the journey.
And the important thing is the happy ending, right
So, I really recommend this book and I hope all teenagers read it.
I especially recommend it to teenagers facing conflicting emotions about their sexuality, since the main characters are lesbians, and I think it's very important for all teenagers to understand that we're all beautiful in our own way.
It doesn't matter who you fall in love with on the large scale of things, so don't let anyone get you down!
Yes, this book is for all of you out there who doubt yourself.
Be brave! In this sequel to Lindsay Versus the Marauders, Lindsay Fleming returns to her humdrum life on Earth, still reeling from falling in love with Jo, a young woman who hails from the distant planet of Carinna.
Lindsay's life does not stay idle for too long, as Jo returns bearing bad tidings, It seems a madman has loosed a plague on her universe causing its inhabitants to age rapidly, Conventional science has failed, but there are compelling tales of the magical healing properties of the Tree of Ayeni,
Skeptical of this tree's powers, but willing to fight for her love, Lindsay sets off to save Jo's planet, Things are never as they seem, and as time starts to run out, everything becomes a matter of trust, Lindsay has to put her faith in two strangers, one of which is a rival for her girlfriend's affection, Can she save both this planet and her deep affection for Jo I wasn't sure what to expect from this I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it even though it was not my type of genre.
I would definitely recommend this book as a must read, Lol I read it backwards now I need to go read the first one, Lindsay and Jo are back and this time its not only to save the world, but the entire known universe from an insidious disease that causes everyone to age rapidly.
Get ready for an actionpacked interplanetary ride filled with danger, heroics, bad guys who get what they deserve, unexpected friendship and Lindsay kicking ass! Unfortunately Jo is sidelined for a lot of the
story but help appears in a blast from the past as Jos warrior ex shows up.
Lindsay has some trouble with her feelings, but ultimately shows how shes matured since the previous book,
My five
copy received from the author and Im voluntarily leaving an honest review.
A gifted copy was given in exchange for an honest review,
Lindsay, Jo and the Tree of Forever is the second part in the series and I think it is better than the first one.
We go travelling with Lindsay, Jo, Bool and sorry that is too much information to several planets in their quest to find the Tree of Ayeni.
This is a magic tree that can cure the aging illness the whole galaxy is suffering,
We can see how Lindsay has learnt a lot from his former adventure and she doesnt feel so helpless being able to take decisions and doing things that a year before would have been impossible to think of.
One thing I would like to be real in the real world is the acceptation of Lindsay and Jo's relationship, We are in thest century but it is still difficult for a lot of people, especially young people, to get out and live freely according with their sexuality.
I highly recommend this book as it is a great reading for all ages,
J. S. Frankel was born in Toronto, Canada, many moons ago and managed to scrape through high school and university, earning a BA in English Literature and leaving no book unopened during his time at the University of Toronto.

In, he married the charming Akiko Koike and their union produced two rather interesting children, Frankel and his family make their home in Osaka where he teaches during the day and attempts to write YA fiction at night.
