If you havent read the first two books in this series then that would be my first recommendation, The Vampire and the M, D. is the third book in The Vampire and series by JP Bowie and is Blake and Daniels story,

Daniel is a long lived, handsome and charismatic vampire who works for a secret department within the FBI, There is a traitor within this covert group which leads to Daniel being kidnapped although he escapes pretty quickly and in doing so ends up being hit by a car driven by Blake.
Compelling Blake to take him home to fix him up rather than the nearest hospital is the beginning of something between the two men that neither are initially sure about.
Although Daniel tries to stay away from Blake believing he is protecting him when he suffers another more serious injury he finds himself back on Blakes doorstep in need of his help once again.

Thrown into an adventure that could see both men dead Blake and Daniel rely on each other as they fight to stay alive, Their relationship happens quickly and Daniel becomes extremely protective of Blake, When things become too much for the two of them to handle they call on their friends and it was great to spend some time with previous characters from the series.

Daniel and Blakes story is not my favourite of the series but it was a good addition to this band of Vampires and their mates who always try to do the right thing.
The books are fun and definitely not as dark as a lot of vampire stories I read, Although their situations are often dangerous and sometimes deadly the author always manages to inject humour and fun into his books and I am now eagerly awaiting the next story in the series.
This installment was good, but not as good as the first two, I loved the introduction of demons and old Egyptian gods, but I missed the relationship development between Daniel and Blake that the first two books had, There was plenty of action and heat and even some good laughs, but it was just lacking the romance, Still an intriguing and fun story, though, The world building was great, and I liked the characters, although they fall for each other almost immediately, The plot was interesting, and I liked the inclusion of characters from earlier books, The writing flowed well, which made the story a fast read, and the settings were easy to imagine,

More detailed review to come,
by sitelinkThe Blogger Girls,

This is the third installment of this fun world, and while it can be read on its own, the other characters are introduced in the previous books and really set the stage in my opinion.
The first two books were fabulous, so I definitely recommend giving them a try either way,

Daniel is the vampire in this scenario, who is extremely powerful and uses that power to help the FBI and other agencies on missions, While escaping from a botched kidnapping, he runs into Blakes car, Blake helps take care of Daniel, and their relationship grows quickly from there, Much of this story is about Daniels mission and what that all turns into, which, in turn, puts Blake in danger, Daniel takes care of things, sometimes with the help of his other vampire friends whom we know from the previous books, New problems crop up, but the vamps overcome and the relationships all remain intact,

This story was interesting and full of action/adventure, but it didnt hold quite the charm as the previous two, Im not sure what was missing, but I didnt feel the same connection between the main characters as I did previously, Daniel and Blake made a good couple, but they never really stood out, I did love seeing the other couples again and enjoyed Blake and Daniel together, but it just didnt have quite the same emotional impact for me,

This series is a fun, more lighthearted take on the vampire theme with some unique aspects that I found refreshing, It is a fabulous story that doesnt get too involved or heavy which is exactly what I need every once in a while, I am a huge fan of this series and author and will eagerly await the next book, This was seriosuly cute. . and definitely weird in some aspects, Despite the need to frown upon some of the actions mostly the over the roof stupid villains it was quite refershing ! I really like this series of The Vampire and books.
They all stand alone but make a great series, I look forward to more from this worldverse, The main plot was to predictable, to be anything other than okay, Blake and Daniel's fast developing romance, full of sex, was stale and bland, I was glad when it ended, When Dr. Blake Farnon hits a shadowy figure with his car, he is astounded when the man almost instantaneously recovers from the accident, But Daniel Vale is no ordinary man, as Blake soon discovers, Daniel is Vampire, and not only that, works for the US government in a secret department of the FBI,

At first wary of the undeniably handsome vampire, Blake cannot resist Daniel's allure for long, From the moment Daniel shows up at Blake's apartment with a poisoned silver sword imbedded in his side, Blake is hurled into an adventure he never dreamed he would be a part of.

Demons, ancient gods and a vindictive goddess determined to tear apart the fragile fabric of world peace after the Middle East War, can only be stopped by other supernatural beingsvampires.
And Blake finds himself caught up in the fight, whether he wants to be or not, Can his fledging relationship with Daniel possibly survive He'd thought it crazy enough he'd fallen for a vampire, but the rest of it What would his mother say ed for Rainbow Gold s.
A copy was provided in exchange for an honest review,

I am a big fan of this series and was excited when we were able to get a review copy for this newest release, Each book features a different couple and realistically could be read as a standalone, but I recommend reading them all, The first books will help introduce you to this futuristic/alternative version of the world we live in, Vampires are known to exist and live and work among us even as CEOs and government spies,

In the first two books there was intrigue and mystery, This book continues in the same manner but has some unexpected twists, Like the first two books, the story starts when vampire male meets human male and attraction is sparked, Daniel is a vampire secret agent who is accidentally hit by Blakes car, Though Daniel likes Blake and is drawn to him, he works in a business that could end up putting Blake in danger, Even after a scorching encounter he vows to leave Blake alone,

Blake is a doctor and veteran of a long lasting war in the Middle East, Blake has seen a lot of things in the war and the existence of vampires is common knowledge, so he isnt phased at all that one of them is in his home, not to mention that hes hot! Even though he hasnt had luck with relationships, he quickly sees potential in the vampire.

Besides the romance in the story, Daniels job has him trying to stop drugs from entering the country in a deal from two different cartels in two different countries that suddenly want to work together.
The plot thickens when demons and poisoned goods enter the picture and someone from the recent war tries to resurrect ancient Egyptian Gods, The story is a little all over, but I really enjoyed it as hidden ties and plots were revealed, Even though Daniel carries a secret in his blood and has the help from his vampire friends and characters from the first two books, I did feel that the fight between vampires and Gods ended much quicker than I thought it would.

Even though I was happy with the conclusion as it was, I felt like the fighting should have been more drawn out, that the battle might have been a little more evenly matched.
I really liked the main characters and was pleased with the return of former main characters, I wasnt sure how I felt about Blakes family at first, but they turned out to be supportive and sweet, Blakes brother in law is funny after he gets a little whammy from Daniel, All in all it was an excellent addition to the series, I hope there will be more in the future,
