so engaged to this, I can't believe it,
Why I didn't started this earlier
In this volume, Luffy meets Nami, a thief, and excellent navigator.
Actually, I actually don't know if she is great, or if Luffy and Zolo are just so bad at being sailors that she simply seems godlike.
Our story takes place in a small town that has been taken over by pirates Buggy the Clown in this case.
He too has eaten a Devil Fruit, making conflict with him more interesting, I'll let you discover what his power is, Our favorite pirate is drawn into a fight with Buggy's group, as expected, There's a lion and a man on a unicycle and other such weirdness that only pirates led by a clown can provide.
It's a good time.
Of note, this doesn't wrap up in this volume, It actually wraps up about half way through the next volume, Once you start these, you're reading through, The volumes, at least the early ones I have read, do not seem to care in the slightest where the actual arcs begin and end.
You just get whatever the nextchapters are, That's nice if you're in for the long haul because you don't have to worry about shorter volumes causing there to be more to buy overall.
But it can be annoying while reading because the end of your book doesn't mean the end of an arc and it means you'll hit the end of an arc half way through a volume sometimes.
It's still a really fun book, but it's something to keep in mind as you're finding copies to read.
Like the first one, I actually really liked this,
One thing I noticed about One Piece is that it is so much fun to read,
I have a feeling that Luffy is not the idiot that people think he is,
He wants people to think hes stupid, but I feel like he actually knows what the fuck he is doing.
As the story goes on, Im sure his weakness will start to peek through,
His abilities will have limitations, At least thats how I see it,
I dont think he can wiggle his way through every situation without a scratch,
Roronoa Zolo and Luffy are two people with different personalities but they both have aspirations that they want to pursue and they will stop at nothing to achieve those goals.
Oh oh!!! And that ending Buggy saying the straw hat reminds him of Aaargrrgg! Gotta read the next one.
Start to finish. Wicked. “Thats what you get for going against pirates unprepared it means being prepared to risk your own life!” SAY IT AGAIN LUFFY!!! ๑ᴗﻭ
This is quite childish of me but I took off a star because of NAMI.
I. Cant. Stand. Her.
AnyWHO I always find myself laughing or cursing tremendously when it comes to this series hahaha.
If it werent for Luffy, Buggy, and Zoro Zolo Id probably rip the manga to shreds with my teeth every time I saw Nami.
Increíble amo mucho a Zoro I decided to read One Piece for the first time and document my experience on YouTube, starting with the entire East Blue saga: sitelink be/TDySjyRjk I still don't see any improvement in the storyline yet, . . Maybe I am expecting way too much because of the hype but even then I just feel like the character's response in the book is too impulsive.
In every other panel we see them opening them mouth like a monster to scream! Bro just calm down and talk, I just get annoyed at that aggressive way of reply.
I don't know if it is a manga thing in general or just a one piece thing, . . I am really hoping that this will only get better with volumes crosses fingers Luffy continues his hunt for new members to join his pirate crew and become the ultimate pirate by finding the ultimate treasure known as the One Piece.
This is where we finally run into Nami, navigator extraordinaire, but also the first real big threat for Luffy, Captain Buggy.
There a lot of other characters thrown into the mix that add to the ludicrous fun that embodies this series, and even Captain Buggy, the red nose clown pirate, has a special trick up his sleeve that makes him quite entertaining to see in action.
I particularly liked Luffy's little sideplot arc with the dog that just added so much to his character, but besides that, the whole volume is filled with silly characters and silly encounters.
Oh, and the arc does not end in this volume, Talk about a cliffhanger. Pretty sure this will be a recurring thing,
Yours truly,

Official blog: sitelink com/ Dont mind me as I start fan girling over Zoro all over again, Zoro and Luffy come to a town but they get separated because reasons and thus Luffy meets Nami but we get her motive and how she betrays him to Buggy and the comedy that ensues there and Zoro to the rescue and the shebang that happens and then meeting this dog Chouchou and the mayor of the town and seeing the dogs backstory Luffy decides to rescue and save him! Its really good and well done and loved the whole comedic effect of it! Plus the art and shading gets better here and we slowly hinting at the grand line and the various devil fruit users!
Nuevos personajes siguen apareciendo y batallas empezando si! Luffy has left Koby at the Navy Base where Koby is now learning how to patrol well and become a true Navy Soldier.
On the other hand, Luffy with Zolo, his new friend/crew nothing can stop them from fulfilling each of their dreams and pursue more to find the One Piece on the Grand Line.
But little do they know that another enemy approaches, Buggy The Clown and his crew are almost unbeatable,
Obviously since Luffy has eaten the 'devil fruit,' he believes that nothing can come into his path.
. . But not unless his enemy has eaten the chop chop fruit! Now it's Luffy fighting over the map for the One Piece, and he's not going to let anyone or anything get in his way.
The scene where he cuts himself and basically shows Cabaji the fingerest finger of all time is just brilliant! The point where he went from awesome to my favourite person in the manga for sure! Luffy and Buggy's face off continues and I can't wait to know what happens next! q raro es que las batallas sean tan cortas ejejejej Aw, la historia de Chouchou:ltSo much fun still! I think I liked the first volume a bit more, but I'm
still stoked to continue with the story.
I can see this heading to great places for sure, i always thought that buggy and that weird lion guy were creepy af, i can still attest at that lol A fun second volume.
It's exciting to meet Nami, who I am certain will become a key longterm member of the crew.
She's supposedly an exceptional navigator, We shall see
I liked the plot arc with Bugsy, who also ate a Devil Fruit, and therefore makes the conflict much more interesting.
But, like most manga, the Bugsy arc is just far too long for my taste, It's like, "Are we still on Namek Oh, We are. " DragonBallZ
The best part of this volume was Shushu, This poor dog is doing is loyal duty! I am impressed with Oda's ability to pull on my heartstrings in such a short period of time.
Poor Shushu.
I can't believe Buggy has a whole volume named after him, I totally forgot this. What kind of madness is this
Buggy for Pirate King, That's the final plottwist. Can you imagine
Spoilers
Up to date Edit:
Oh my god, he's a Yonkou.
Really don't know how I feel about that, but it is very funny, Some parts of it I enjoyed others not quite so much, Overall a decent volume. But i have aboutvolumes more at home to go so hopefully I'll get hooked on the story sooner or later Chapters
Continues to be a good series with good art and a good sense of place, with detailed backgrounds.
A good mix of heart, humor and action! As a kid, Monkey D, Luffy vowed to become King of the Pirates and find the legendary treasure called the "One Piece, " The enchanted GumGum Fruit has given Luffy the power to stretch like rubberand his new crewmate, the infamous pirate hunter Roronoa Zolo, strikes fear into the hearts of other buccaneers! But what chance does one rubber guy stand against Nami, a thief so tough she specializes in robbing pirates.
. . or Captain Buggy, a fiendish pirate lord whose weird, clownish appearance conceals even weirder powers It's pirate vs.
pirate in the second swashbuckling volume of One Piece!
Ah, Buggy. Poor Buggy. On the surface a cheerful and enthusiastic party animal, . . but scratch the surface a bit and you uncover a sad, bitter washout, venting his frustrations on everyone around him.
He could've been great. He coulda been a contender, A lot of this becomes apparent in the future in the very next volume in fact but it's already heavily implied.
And even then he's good for a laugh, even if we're laughing at him rather than with him.
He's a lot better and more enduring villain than the last two, but not by much.
Much as I enjoyed this volume, I'll be glad to see the story move on from him pretty quickly in the nex say, remember when One Piece could complete an entire story arc within the span of a single volume Ah, those were the days.
Can't do that anymore, sadly,
Great introduction to Nami, too, I like how Luffy of all people refuses to make friends with someone from the outset.
