book is aimed at kids in theyearold range, I would guess, I first encountered it in our elementary school library back when I was a kid and for reasons I cannot adequately explain even to myself, I now have
my own copy.
I will say this in its favor: it is surprisingly evenhanded, It pretty much admits right up front that most supposed UFO activity is actually just people mistaking planets, balloons, or weatherrelated phenomena for extraterrestrial activity.
I guess this is the "IFO" part of the title, It doesn't encourage the reader to engage in conspiratorial thinking or even to really believe that there is anything unusual going on at all.
And just because something is not immediately explainable, it doesn't mean it was aliens,
But it's a pretty repetitive slog to get through it, Lots of interviews with people that saw lights over their car, etc, Not really much of a narrative just a lot of "and here's another story where some people witnessed something weird, "
Also, it very hilariously suggests at the beginning that UFO is pronounced "YooFoe, " Uh, ok dude. .
