The plot is compelling and complex, with lots of twists and turns.
The characters are engaging and likeable and the author, as always, brings each character to vibrant life and immerses the reader in the history of the era, A whirlwind of nonstop action and suspense kept me on the edge of my seat! This is another fantastic read from this author, I cant wait for the next book, A let down
Although I enjoyed the earlier series, I found this book to be a let down, I didn't feel like the main characters were adequately developed and John seemed to become a completely different person altogether, And not because he grew as a person, The ending was also a let down, as it really didn't explain much of anything, I had a difficult time even finishing this book as the characters no longer felt believable, A mysterious death.
