it. It was a quick read,
Blog: literaturesandmovies, com This webcomic is all shades of fucked up, It has the yakuza, toxic abusive relationships, suicide and suicide attempt, a love triangle, depression/depressive episodes, a tattoo artist, and one hella sad but fulfilling story.
Im not going to say this webcomic is for everyone it covers a lot of dark shit, The depictions of abusive relationships and depression was done really well and I really felt like it was believable.
One of the biggest things with webcomics for me is that sometimes the pacing is either too fast or too slow.
This one felt a bit rushed in the end but it also left an openended ending so I suppose I can live with that.
The art is magnificent and I love the goldfish and aquarium metaphor, I wish though I got more background on the meaning of Seungjaes tattoo,./
Guess im just NOT a fan of thid author'sartist Work The story started good and it seemed interesting, but the way that it ended was very unsatisfactory and without development.
Seriously man I wish the ending was better because it was literally rushed af, It was getting good with the uke and seme being together, especially those "scenes", However, it just seems the uke just wanted to be with the abusive ex after all and the seme just didn't bother his head to save the uke just because he's a "Yazuka boss".
Yeah it's disappointing the way the story turned out but the art is unreal lads I'll tell ya that!

Pretty good! Felt I couldn't connect to the characters much nor get to know them as much but the ending was lovely and the overall story was really good! DNF'd chapter.
The tattoo artist and Yakuza trope combined into one webcomic I had such high hopes What drew me to this manhwa was its unique premise.
The art style was a feast for the eyes, and the initial relationship between the tattoo artist and the yakuza was intriguing.
I appreciated the manhwa's exploration of dark themes such as prostitution and abusive relationships and that the uke was emotionally strong and really tried to fight for himself instead of capitulating , as ukes are so often portrayed as weak and sensitive.
However, the end was so incredibly rushed it really felt like the mangaka could have included at leastmore chapters and fleshed out the aforementioned relationship as well as that between the tattoo artist and his abusive partner.
I really would have liked to know more about the tattoo artist's and the yakuza's respective backstories, I was also really irritated that we never got to learn why exactly the yakuza chose that particular tattoo artist for his tattoo, when they lived in separate countries.

The artwork was top notch and modern, I really loved the cutting gold eyes and the tattoo work, The story was good but didn't follow through well, The ending very short just fell through after a while, Fresh out of an abusive relationship with a controlling ex, tattoo artist Geumhwa heads to Japan to work for a mysterious customer.
When he arrives, he learns that his client, Ryusei Katamoto, is the handsome halfKorean son of a yakuza family.
The tattoo work Geumhwa will be doing is a coverup for a huge burn scar on Ryuseis back.
And though Ryusei and Geumhwa are curious about each other, Geumhwas obsessive ex is far from giving up.
Can a new relationship cover up these old scars,/
It's really hard to let go of a toxic relationship no matter how many times you tell yourself that you have to.
When it's all you're familiar with, it really makes you feel like you have no choice,
The metaphor of a goldfish trapped in an aquarium really makes me feel breathless as I was reading.
In the end, geum really broke free, The symbolism of the tattoo that he destroyed really means that he's ready to let go, This whole thing makes me feel emotional, I really think that the creator really wanted readers to feel the same way as the characters do.
Even that bastard ex of geum,
The thing that's about abusive relationships is that some of them are so hung up in the past that they can't see that the person before them is changing and needs more room.
I honestly think that at some point, that ex really saved geum, It just went wrong because he won't let geum do anything that's why he can never be his ocean.
I'm so glad my baby SeungJae is happy that he can get to be with geum now, That redhaired dude is the MVP, I feel sorry that his dad died the way he did but it's the way of life for them.
Kill or be killed.
DNF chp
I WAS ROOTING FOR YOU YOU FUCKING ASSHOLE,
Thats
was no curse that was you being a sorry excuse for a person, Amazing book I'm sorry, but no,
You don' have sex with someone who was just almost raped,
Just no.
DNF.
I don't even know where to start, . . let's just summarize this with: "you get angst, you get angst, and you get angst too, " There was abuse, noncons, rape, prostitution, suicide, kidnapping, murder, other kind of violence, cheatkind of, . . and more. I didn't ratestar only because the finale was decent and the plot also if pretty dark, had still some interesting parts.
Beautiful story, I felt so much while reading this, I cried for like ten minutes after ending because even if it was a rocky road, it all ended well at least.
Trigger warnings for abusive relationship, blood, self harm, depression, Interesting fantasy maffia to self insert but, . . the background could use some artwork I know, I know, manhwa don't swing that way and focus on the aesthetic on models and forced viewpoint like the tattoo aspect, nice but it would have been much better with it.
The main character has some attachment to his boss or the guy who brought him to the tattoo industry which I thought was done right Can't tell if he knows he was at a bad place but a fortunate take.
Trust me, things could have gone a lot worse, The other love interest or the burnt guy is confusing cause he be acting like possessed yet not explained so.
. . not sure how to process that, Still new though so I'll just see where it will go, This was meh
I remember a few years ago a friend recommended me this webtoon when it had just started and I read the first chapters and it seemed really promising but now I read it and it was just meh.
The story felt rushed, it wasnt really developed and idk the sex scenes were really uncomfortable all the violence, the forced sex and rape it was too much.
The original idea was great but the execution was really disappointing, cw sexual abuse
stick and poke like an indelible ball and chain, The art style was nice, I think that the artistic display of the piece deserves a higher star rating than just two, however, I wasn't a fan of some content.
Trigger Warning The story has a lot of mention and graphic display of sexual abuse, physical abuse, domestic violence, emotional abuse, and more.
Where I don't mind reading a story that incorporates those things appropriately because they are all reallife issues that get dealt with and should be talked about appropriately, I really didn't enjoy just how toxic of a message this story left about those different types of abuse.
There are also no trigger warnings throughout the entire content, so please read with caution!
Some thoughts after reading this:
Someone does not want to be slept with the same night they've experienced sexual assault.
When something like that happens, a loving partner should assist them in getting medical or emotional support,
I didn't enjoy how the sexual aggressor gets excused in the end and made to look like a good guy who gets to find love.
Nothing that he does redeems his actions, and I don't believe that he should be romanticized or excused for what he did.
Overall I found these aspects a bit too distracting from the story, I liked the art style and bits and pieces here or there, but I think that the fundamentals and messages of the content are sometimes flawed.
Update: I originally gave this story a/stars, but I think it deserves/because of the art, and because the characters have so much potential despite how some of them were put to use.
