on Deep Work: Rules for Focused Success in a Distracted World

highly recommend this book, especially for academics, I really enjoyed this book, The basic premise and how its supported, along with practical steps, make a ton of sense, My only question is how to apply it to my work, Im not a writer or creator of any kind, I lead teams, so a huge part of my role is communicating, supporting, making decisions, etc, A lot of that doesnt seem to fit with this model, so Im left wondering what to do with it, Anyway, well worth a read, especially if you are primarily writing/creating in some way, Excellent livre qui convient non seulement aux professionnels, mais également aux étudiants !
Its really good and the message is strong but seriously It could be made into apage article and itll be enough, Libro estremamente famoso nel suo genere, si conferma un ottimo acquisto, Few good takes but same as all of the self development books, Read a lot, always the same, book could bepages, author feels the need to make itto justify the purchase Très intéressant, ce livre nous ouvre les yeux sur nos manies et notre façon de travailler de manière trop superficielle.
Il nous invite à repenser les conventions du monde d'aujourd'hui ou d'hier et casser les codes pour travailler de manière plus concentrée et efficace, Excellent book!A really good manifest to add depth in our lives.
Urgent in these times of social media, TV streaming, and constant distractions, Ce livre est un excellent guide plein de bonnes idées

Deep Work introduces the difference between Shallow and Deepk work, Though I read recommended The Shallow book first, this book does add details and guide for Deep Work, Few noteworthy points. Deep Work is a Good Work, Right to protect your attention, Process to evaluate Networking Tools, and Quit them as needed, Fix scheduled mindset. Sender FilterMany ideas suggested on the book are worthy enough to try, Recommend to pass on to next generation, as they are going to need this big time, And, worthy of reread. extremely well written, very fun to read but also extremely insightful, found myself sad to finish it haha One of the most valuable skills in our economy is becoming increasingly rare, If you master this skill, you'll achieve extraordinary results, Deep Work is an indispensable guide to anyone seeking focused success in a distracted world, 'Cal Newport is exceptional in the realm of self help authors' New York Times'Deep work' is the ability to focus without distraction on a cognitively demanding task.
Coined by author and professor Cal Newport on his popular blog Study Hacks, deep work will make you better at what you do, let you achieve in less time and provide the sense of true fulfilment that comes from the mastery of a skill.
In short, deep work is like a superpower in our increasingly competitive economy, And yet most people, whether knowledge workers in noisy open plan offices or creatives struggling to sharpen their vision, have lost the ability to go deep spending their days instead in a frantic blur of email and social media, not even realising there's a better way.
A mix of cultural criticism and actionable advice, Deep Work takes the reader on a journey through memorable stories from Carl Jung building a stone tower in the woods to focus his mind, to a social media pioneer buying a round trip business class ticket to Tokyo to write a book free from distraction in the air and surprising suggestions, such as the claim that most serious professionals should quit social media and that you should practice being bored.
Put simply: developing and cultivating a deep work practice is one of the best decisions you can make in an increasingly distracted world.
This book will point the way, .
