on Seasons Greetings from the White House: The Collection of Presidential Christmas Cards, Messages and Gifts
Greetings From the White House by Mary Evans Seeley has been updated through Christmas, TheEdition includes a revision of the chapter on George and Laura Bush with new photographs and personal interviews.
The book documents presidential Christmas cards, gifts and messages from Calvin Coolidge through George W, Bush with personal anecdotes from members of the First Families, pages. Historical Gift Book. I am doing a program on Christmas at the White House for the Daughters of the American Revolution and this is a good resource for the program.
I am focusing on the FDR years in the Season's Greetings from the White House, Pretty. I am sure the author put a lot of research into the book, I was hoping to see a colorful depiction of the President and families Christmas UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL, The book is excellent for a documented Christmas greeting of the presidents and wives and detail of those items.
But, I found the book dry and not as "fun" a read as I had hoped to learn of the families Christmases at the White House.
A good book for in depth study of the subject, Very interesting background history and beautiful illustrations to accompany the text, Shows a personal side of our Chief Executives in the White House,

I've wanted to check this book out for a long time, The copy I received is in excellent condition and arrived quickly, It was much less expensive than buying the book new, I knew about recent cares but I learned about the earlier notes and greetings from the President and his family.
