It gives a nice little family tree of the cat family too, so you can see for instance where sabertoothed cats fit in and how we group modern cats.
However I think that this may be out of date, I chose this book because I love animals, I mainly like dogs as inside pets, but as an outside pet I like big African cats, I just think they are so beautiful and they look so fluffy, I would recommend this book for you if you love animals, like me, If you don't like cats or any animals in general then you probably shouldn't get this book, Like I said if you like big African cats then you should get this book, It also states lots of facts about them and how they live their lives, I loved reading about them and learning even more facts that I didn't even know about them, The Jack Steel series is now in development for a major motion picture, Award winning author Geoffrey Saign has spent many years studying kung fu and sailed all over the South Pacific and Caribbean.
