read somewhere that this book was originally written as a screen play for a movie that was never made.
If this is true, I believe it, because it reads a little “different” than other books, Dont get me wrong, its fine to read, but something about it felt drug out,
The book has a great story, You get really caught up not only in our heros story, but I found myself really interested in our villains back story as well.
The final scene is where the book just goes all out, You will be flipping pages like crazy when Youngblood starts going to “war, ” Its almost impossible not to picture rambo or Stallone when reading about Kyle Youngblood,
I ranked it aand not abecause some parts I somewhat was wanting more action, but its still a great fun read.
I have the next three in the series and excited to see where the story line goes and
if the book is written differently since it wasnt drafted a last a screen play.
If you like action thrillers this is a great read, Very engrossing. After Doctor Death kills overVietcong soldiers, he comes home and begins a quiet life as a farmer with a wife and two kids in a small town in Nevada.
Everything is going nicely for him until one evening when the young son of a Las Vegas mob boss, drunk and out for trouble crosses paths with the Dr.
He kills the loudmouth kid and messes up his two bodyguards, They take the news back to the father who screams for vengeance, The Doctors' friends start to die, and he finds himself under siege, Once he knows there's only one way out, he dons his flak jacket and loads his guns for the coming battle.
This one was a late entry into the men's actionadventure mill, It had all the basics covered, It tried to go out on the feeling's limb with the Doctors wife and kids, to little effect.
It only made it to four books which was probably not enough for this series, It had potential. .
