pictures and very informative, It would be great to have in a classroom when talking about the weather and be in a place where the students can go to it and read it any time they wanted! The pictures really helped you see what they were showing you and really added to the book.
Overall, it was a little dense with a lot of information packed into one picture book, but a great way to inform in bits and pieces! This is a very nice book that is factual and easy to read teaching about tornadoes and hurricanes.
It's a question and answer format so if you only want to read a page or two at a time you can.
Or like I did my special needs adult son loves these type of things but couldn't sit still if I had read everything to him.
So I just skipped around and read some of the questions and answers and still go most of the book read, He loved it and talked about it even this morning, SM This is a question and answer book about tornadoes, It begins with questions about what tornadoes are and why they act like they do, Some of the questions included information about what happens before a tornado, how they form and behave, and what they can cause.
Next the book answers questions about when and where they occur, The information is presented in the form of a map with the number of tornadoes that occur in different areas in tornado alley.
It also describes what to do during a tornado and how they are rated, The book then goes on to talk about hurricanes, also answering the what, why, when, and where questions, I will use it in my classroom someday Good FAQformatted picture book about tornadoes and hurricanes, Great for kids who are interested in acquiring all the facts they can about these two types of storms, I gave it a five star because it is unique, Yes, it provides facts and details about what tornadoes and hurricanes do and how they are formed like most books of this kind would.
