Achieve Janes Long March Home Produced By Susan Lute Provided As EPub
book. Strong characters, believable storyline. Enjoyed reading about a female soldier who had worked hard at her job,/rounded up to. Good story. The style of writing was a little wordy for my taste in parts using so many descriptive words or explanatory phrases that a sentence becomes a paragraph, but I liked the overall storyline and the main characters although Jane frustrated me at times.
Free ebook that is well worth reading, Will try to find more books by Susan Lute, Great storu. Jane, a marine fighting to stay with the only family she knows and Chase, a therapist who's lost his ability to help his clients come together in a moving story of the healing power of kids.
. . and love. Keep the tissues close at hand! Loved this book! Ms, Lute has a lovely style and Jane was just so delightful, Strong, yet tender. Will definitely read more from this author, There's no place like home, and to Gunnery Sergeant Jane Donovan, home is the US Marine Corps.
But, she's made a mistake, A tragic mistake that cost an orphaned kid from the poorest part of Madrid his life, Because of a little insubordination and disorderly conduct on her part, she's about to lose the one thing she values most.
The family and good life she's forged in the Corps, Now she has one option, Put her future in the hands of Dr, Chase Russell, or become a civilian, The choice is hers.
Chase Russell has royally screwed up, Busy chasing a lucrative book deal that would legitimize his theories about treating war veterans suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and let's face it, give him a certain amount of fame too, he missed a client's cry for help and subsequent admission to the hospital for a failed drug overdose.
That the client was his brother makes his arrogance more reprehensible, In the aftermath, he leaves his lucrative practice in Chicago to start over on a lovely, neglected Central Oregon ranch, looking for the peace and sanctuary he craves, but hardly deserves.
When the Marine arrives, nursing a cranky hip and an even crankier disposition, he wants nothing to do with her, but the fun is just beginning.
Between helping two runaway kids, and taking the stubborn Marine through play therapy, what's
an excounselor to do, but make sure this hero finds her way home.
Dear Reader,
I just updated the covers for my contemporary books, What fun! And a challenge, There's always something new to learn in this business, I also wanted to share the inspiration for Jane's story, I come from a military family and had this idea to write a story about a Marine who was having trouble dealing.
And then I wondered what if our Marine was a girl, . . and because she was so out of control, what if she was forced by her commander to get herself into counseling or end up discharged to civilian life.
And so her story ran off with me from there,
I love the idea of role reversals because each of us handle things differently, Thank you so much for your support! Whichever book you choose to read today, . . happy reading!
Susan I really loved this book, Just the title of this book got me to download it to my Nook the moment I heard it was available.
I'm a sucker for stories where a woman takes a look at her life and says "What am I doing What do I want to be doing What am I willing to sacrifice to get there" Maybe that's because it's happened to me more than once.
Then when I found out this was about a Marineeven better a woman MarineI absolutely had to have it.
A woman. A hero. A journey to selfdiscovery. AND it's in the capable hands of Susan Lute! Ahhhhhhh, Pull up a piece of rug in front of the fire and settle in with Jane's Long March Home.
Gunnery Sergeant Jane Donovan is Jane in Jane's Long March Home, which tells her fight with posttraumatic stress syndrome and how Dr.
Chase Russell helped her find a way to deal with her internal problems from being in a bombing.
The role of two runaway children, Zach and Abby also help Jane face the issues from her childhood and realize she could feel safe in developing lasting relationships and have a family she had once dreamed of before the U.
S. Marine Corp became her family,
Jane's Long March Home is emotion packed while being a great love story of a family finding each other.
The insight into posttraumatic stress syndrome is very interesting, Would you be surprised the best things in life come in unexpected packages No, of course not.
