This book presents very authentic and accurate information to readers, It discusses all of the details of teeth, and what they are used for, The teacher, Ms. Frizzle goes into detail about the components that make up a tooth, and the area that surrounds them, The information is all presented in a way that appropriately flows throughout the story, It provides an easy read for many students to understand, Especially since each part of the tooth is discussed when the magic school bus is actually in a mouth, This provides an authentic example for students, The format and design of the book is also interesting and engaging, It appeals to children because of the comicbook layout that the book portrays, It is also accessible for children to follow, By the characters showing enthusiasm and interest in finding the mysterious owner of the tooth, readers are engaged as well, This style of writing is congruent with the personalities of the characters portrayed, which generates more interest in the readers minds, Therefore, the facts being provided by this book are being read with enthusiasm by the readers,
I thought that this book is an excellent early reader for students, As long as it is within their independent reading levels, I think it would be an appropriate book to read to learn all about teeth, This book could be paired with many other lessons about bones and other body parts, Many story stretchers and discussions can be made from this story, This book is a great way to explain to students the different types of teeth and their purposes, It also gives this information in a fun and interesting way,Book summary: On another adventure for Ms, Fizzles and the students, Wanda found a missing tooth in the back of the classroom, The students analyze the tooth and came up with the conclusion that it aint a human tooth, Ms. Fizzle decided to take the class on a field trip to figure out who tooth it was,

Guided Reading: K They did a good job, making the story still feel like Magic School Bus but being at a readable level for littles.
I love the Magic School Bus books, Legomeister loved these for years, and now Little Miss requests them,
The Scholastic Readers are nice for bedtime stories because they're shorter, and of course, they're great for early readers, They're more difficult than some easy readers, a little longer with more challenging words, The writing feels choppy that's a side effect of simplifying it, But I think they do a good job of keeping the story fun and informative, They definitely hold the interest of my Magic School Bus Fans,
This one's about teeth, and the different shapes of people and animal's teeth, Ms. Frizzle's class is having show and tell at school, One student brings in a mysterious tooth that she found in the classroom, Everyone begins to wonder whose tooth it could possibly be, One student recalls that his little sister lost a tooth earlier, so Ms, Frizzle decides to go on a field trip into his sister's mouth! While inside, they learn the anatomy of teeth, and soon realize that the tooth is not a match, it's too sharp! So off they go to a farm to explore animal teeth.
They learn the anatomy of teeth in different animals and soon find the match of the missing tooth, Who could it be
This informational text teachers children the anatomy of not only human teeth, but animal teeth as well, There are even a few close up illustrations of the anatomy so readers can visualize it better, There's even an interactive activity in the back of the book where readers have to guess what animal certain teeth belong to, I would have liked to see more information in the text: it was mostly just story based with facts thrown in occasionally, Also, I feel that there should have been something about dental hygiene in the book since it is a children's book and sometimes children have difficulty maintaining proper hygiene.
Also, it would have been nice to have a glossary in the back that defined terms such as "molar" and "root", The pictures could have been more about the anatomy than the story itself since only a few pictures showed detailed illustrations of teeth anatomy, There also could have been fun facts included in a sidebar or something that makes the book more factual than fictional, Overall, it was okay, but not informative enough, a great series that can be utilized by various reading levels, I like that the story fires beyond human teeth and shows a few differences even in animal teeth, the examples of mini reports is great, kid loves these and gets some science knowledge, though even the kid was thrown by the options they look at for who's missing a tooth, FS:

In notebook, Far from the best Magic Schoolbus offering, the text is quite stilted and lacks all personality, Early reader books can flow!
Safe to skip unless Ms Frizzle's class is the only thing in the world your kid enjoys, . . probably the best book ive ever read, im not really a fast reader but none of the words were too big or challenging for a grown up, if you have some time to read this it took me abouthours worth of reading to finish I would highly reccomend it! I thought David would like it because he had just lost two teeth, but he had already read it at the library, and didn't want to look at it any more.
The Magic School Bus and the Missing Tooth is a LevelScholastic Reader, and is written with "vocabulary and sentence length for beginning readers", as per the information on the back cover of the book.
It's an educational picture book, and the cast of the Emmy award winning television show, The Magic School Bus which I highly recommend to anyone teaching or raising young children.
The book begins when Wanda brings a small, sharp tooth in for showandtell, and the class sets out to find out to what species the tooth belongs.
Ultimately, the book examines human, horse, mouse, and cat teeth and features helpful diagrams and factoids,
I would recommend The Magic School Bus and the Missing Tooth to parents reading to their toddlers or young children just learning to read the book could be particularly interesting to those with a preexisting interest in the Magic School Bus franchise and particularly useful to parents whose children will soon be attending their first dental visit.
This is a really fun book in the sitelinkMagic School Bus chapter books and readers series, The book is short, the dialogue is simple and not too cluttered and the illustrations are just as good as ever, We learned a lot about different kinds of teeth and their purposes and how to determine whether or not an animal eats plants or meat, I think these books are great and so do our girls, This is a great beginning reader book and not only is it good to help develop a love of reading, but also a love for science.
What more could a parent want Let it be known that Frank would probably give this book a higher rating, I just can't bring myself to do it, As a parent I these books! As a kid, Frank loves them, As all the Magic School Bus this book won't fail in entertainment plus education, The listenerreader will enjoy what they are listening toreading and won't have a second thought about learning about teeth and the various things teeth do for humans and animals.
This has a story to follow but also has small paragraphs at the bottom of each page telling more details about true simple facts, This book isn't as well written as the other books, thus the four star versus the five star rating For the subject it was written fun but just blocky at times but still a good book to explain teeth.
You simple can't go
wrong with Magic School Bus a very fun way of mixing reading with learning Science, And this one incorporates animals and a little Mystery in too, simply a good book, We love the magic school bus series of books, they are very educational!
