on The Inconvenient Laws of Attraction

loved the second book in the series and really wanted to read about Olivia, the sister and best friend of the couple in the second, a cop turned lawyer and I ended up really liking this book, not as good as the second but still good.

So, Olivia tracks down the hero Blake with a lot of difficulty to tell him that he is his father's heir, Blake doesn't seem to react to the death or happy about the inheritance.
Now, Blake gives a new name to closedoff, he was so good at not talking about anything personal and his history intrigued me, the constant moving around, the emptiness he felt, his feelings towards his parents and his wanting to sell everything.

Olivia does not want to get involved with a client despite the chemistry between them, Blake loves to push her buttons and she tries to remain professional but they do give in, but she is determined not to get in deep since Blake hardly seems the type to open up.

I did like how she didn't let that stop him and made him see possibilities and even tried to tell him it was okay when she saw his struggle to voice his feelings and I enjoyed seeing Blake confront his past and sort out his emotional problems and then come to Olivia.

I did feel bad for Blake once he unloaded his history, he was a victim of his parent's choices, his mother was paranoid and possibly sick who ran away from the man she loved because he was wealthy and in the public eye and even when he found them refused to let him be a part of their lives and kept making them move, leading to an unstable childhood.
This had an effect on him and his father's attempts to have a relationship weren't welcomed by Blake,

I enjoyed reading about them both, especially Olivia who was one strong, sexy woman, Trish escribe muy bien. Romance y tonterías de enamorados con toques de ternura y pasión, Protagonistas: Olivia amp Blake

Profesiones: Abogada amp Constructor

Pais: USA I was expecting this to be terrible as Id read the second one first and hated it but actually it was rather cute, both the characters weren't annoying either.
Two minor details I didn't like were how it didn't actually say what was in the letter and what the hell Canada was about,.Good book. Blake really didn't want anything to do with his father's money or businesses, He was very attracted to Olivia, and had no problem pursuing her, despite their professional relationship, But he was just after sex he kept his emotions tightly bottled up, Olivia wanted to do what was right for Blake, but was just as strongly attracted to him, She also kept her emotions bottled up, due to an event from when she was a cop, She thought she could keep their relationship to just sex, but found that she couldn't, I really enjoyed the confrontation at the end it was a real wakeup call for Blake, Olivia Brannigan can't believe that Blake Clayton doesn't want the millions of dollars he's inherited from the father who always made him hide their relationship.
Blake spends six months in a place and then moves on because he's been living life that way for a long time, Now he agrees to look at all the properties that have been left to him if Olivia will accompany him and then leave him alone.
Somewhere along the way they both find feelings for each other and have to accept that running isn't always the best option, In the end family is what matters and you can't run from them, Wow! I can't get enough of this wonderful authors work, She takes your emotions on a roller coaster ride that ends with a beautiful sunset, love her! By the way, what did he do in Canada Lol
Lawyer Olivia Brannigan has faced down some cool customers, but client Blake Clayton takes emotional control to a whole new level.
The man didn't even bat an eyelid when he inherited a fortune from his estranged father!Blake doesn't want guilt moneythe only thing piquing his interest is the toughtalking, sweetlooking lawyer that comes with his new property portfolio.

Dating on the job isn't in Olivia's Guide to Good ClientLawyer Relationships, and it certainly doesn't sit easily with her "no strings" attitudebut aren't rules always made to be broken
This one just didn't work for

me, and I'm not entirely sure why.
