Pick Up The Curse Of Ash And Blood (The Curse Collection, #2) Crafted By Lou Wilham Distributed In Digital Version

received a gifted copy from the author, All thoughts and opinions are completely my own

Hot, shirtless firemen, Need I say more

I loved this book, It has ties in with The Curse of the Black Cat, while standing on its own,

Alric and Yuuki as well as the fabulous Gwydion are in this book and do not disappoint.

This book has a more mature feel then Black Cat as the characters are older.

If you enjoy sarcasm, bluntness, magic, dragons, fantastic characters and a heart warming story then this is the book for you!!!

This book contains curse words and some violence

sitelink com/thecurse I enjoyed this book, although I admit it was a little slow going for me at first.
This is not the genre I normally choose to read however, as the book progressed, I liked it more and more.

Fable and Blaze first encounter one another when Fable is young and Blaze is a dragon.
The people of Fable's village want to destroy Blaze because he causes mischief in the village, Fable, on the other hand, thinks it would be a great idea to tame the dragon, to make friends with him, and to prove to the villagers that the dragon isn't so bad after all.
Fable meets with Blaze, and they have a couple of encounters, Blaze cannot forget he's a dragon and ultimately kills Fable,

Fairy tale over Not so fast,

Fable and Blaze keep reincarnating until they meet several centuries later, Blaze Ender yes, that's his name is a firefighter in New York City, Fable is a veterinarian, also in NYC, Blaze gets a dog and a recommendation for a veterinarian, When he takes the dog to the vet, and their eyes meet, he realizes that his new vetFableis the one he killed so many years ago.

The book contains scenes of magic and wonder, as well as interesting transformations and encounters that seem to foreshadow different encounterssome pleasant, some notsopleasant.
I came to enjoy the characters in this book for many reasons, and I look forward to reading new developments about Fable and Blaze if this author chooses to write more.

Although this isn't a genre I would normally choose to read, I'm pleased I did read this.
If it had been possible, I would have given it,stars, only because I thought it was a little slow at the beginning, Things picked up nicely, though, I would recommend this book to people who enjoy light, wellwritten fantasy, This story was a little different compared to the first book The Curse of the Black Cat.
Not quite as sweet and whimsical, it focuses on the gruff and aloof dragon Blaze and the sweet and loving veterinarian Fable.

I have to admit, I was initially worried this book would be too similar to the first instalment of the series considering the premise and the M/M romance.
However! I did not find it so, Instead, I was happy to see the resemblance was just the right amount to give this story its own depth and room for character building.

Speaking of characters, this is where I found myself stumped at times, Throughout the story, Blaze comes across as quite abusive, not in the least towards Fable, and I waited for some sort of turnaround in this.
I would have wished for a slightly more softer side to come across for this story to be as sweet and toecurling as its predecessor.
Even Gwydion felt less whimsical than in the first instalment of the series, so although the story in itself is great, it does not quite reach my expectations.

However, all in all, I enjoyed the book and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a short and sweet M/M romance story.
Blaze is a Dragon with a fiery temper, Fable is a kindhearted magician who wants to do the right thing, But when their encounter ends in tragedy, the two find themselves running into each other again and again, as Fable is reincarnated over the centuries.
This brings us to the present day when Fable is reincarnated into the body of a helpful veterinarian.
The tension between the two of them starts to turn to love, but will Blaze be able to keep his temper in check

I'm a little hot and cold when it comes to romances involving someone with serious anger issues.
When done right, they can be incredibly satisfying, but many of them are just toxic, Fortunately, this is not the case with The Curse of Ash and Blood, which is completely aware of Blaze's faults.
Instead of excusing them, the novella puts him on an exciting journey towards selfimprovement, In order to earn Fable's love, he must become worthy of it,

I love how the first book The Curse of the Black Cat, brought in this wonderfully queer fairy tale energy, and The Curse of Ash and Blood does the same.
I would happily check out any future books in the series, Lou Wilham has such a way with writing characters, you become invested in their happiness, and want to see them succeed.
Ash and Blood is a great tale of two people whose personalities clash, but their lives are entwined, forcing them to deal with each other whether they want to or not.
If you enjoy stories of redemption and growth, then this story is for you, wrapped all up in angsty romance, and topped off with a pretty, pretty bow.
And sprinkled with Gwydion sass and glitter! blazing

for a sweet and enchanting story!

No magic can tame a dragon, but perhaps a curse can help.

To save his village from ruin, a kind young mage named Fable must reason with an enraged dragon, Blaze.
Fable turns to the local witch, Gwydion, for aid since he knows he may not succeed,
But no magic can tame a dragon, Blaze's temper goes and tragedy follows, leaving a dying Fable in its wake, And that leaves Gwydion with only one choice: the witch curses Blaze and blesses Fable,

Blaze will live forever, but lack some of his powers, while Fable will keep reincarnating, remembering nothing of his past lives.
And the curse, or perhaps fate, keeps bringing them back together through centuries,
Until Blaze comes face to face with Fable Alperen, a sweet, goodhearted, veterinarian who just moved to New York.
And this time something's different, This time Blaze's armor cracks a little,

Now don't get me wrong, Blaze is an asshole. Fable even says it flat out one time and everybody agrees, He is arrogant, conceited and so full of his own self that you probably need to climb up a ladder to reach his nose.

And yet, there is something endearingly hopeless about the impossibly rude dragon, As if he wanted to do his best but didn't know how to, Nor did he seem to know how to ask for help,

Fable on the other hand, is as sweet and gentle as it goes, Kindhearted and always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need,

And this time, to Blaze, 'Fable was a mystery wrapped in an enigma stuffed into the body of a person, and Blaze wanted to solve it.
'
And yet, that doesn't stop him from behaving like a jerk, And Karma is bound to bite him in the ass for being a bitch to Fable,

The two of them have crossed each other's paths for centuries and neither of them is sure why.

As Gwydion suggests:
'Maybe it wasn't a dragon, Maybe it was just an enormous jerk who needed bringing down a peg,
and maybe it was Blaze, Maybe you two idiots have been dancing around each other for centuries, '

But to both Blaze and Fable 'That sounds nuts, '

Of course they should have expected nuts when dealing with this particular witch.

'Life is nuts darling, It never makes any kind of good sense, and why should this either'

This second in series is just as witty and enchanting as the first.
Character driven, just as the first and full of tongue in cheek humor, it is bound to make for an absolutely engaging read.
I still love sitelinkThe Curse of the Black Cat more, but Blaze and Fable's story is quite enchanting too.

I highly recommend it to all those in search of a light, funny and sweet LGBT read.

ARC Received from the author in exchange for an honest review,

This was enchanting!!

This was a cute follow up to The Curse of the Black Cat, where both parties are cursed this time.
There was interesting commentary on both physical and mental health problems,
Pick Up The Curse Of Ash And Blood (The Curse Collection, #2) Crafted By Lou Wilham Distributed In Digital Version
and steps people need to take to keep their bodies and minds in order.
This one was a little rougher around the edges than Black Cat, Blaze's dialogue annoyed me sometimes, and the dog is mostly only on page if there's a problem, but it still had some of the same charm of the first book.
To conquer or to tamehow to break a curse and handle a dragon

To save his village from ruin, a kind young mage named Fable must face off against the dragon.
When Blazethe dragoncan't be reasoned with Fable turns to the local witch, Gwydion, for aid, But no magic can tame a dragon, and where Blaze's temper goes, tragedy follows, Blaze leaves Gwydion with only one choice, the witch curses Blaze and blesses Fable,

It's the curseor perhaps fatethat brings them together over and over again through all of Fable's reincarnations.
While Fable remembers nothing of his past lives, Blaze is forced to relive his mistakes repeatedly, Until he comes face to face with Fable Alperen, a sweet, goodhearted, veterinarian who just moved to New York.

Could this be the time Blaze finally conquers his own demons Will Fable finally be able to tame the dragon

No magic can tame a dragon, but perhaps a curse can help.

A story for lovers of fine fairy tales such as Rainbow Rowell's Cary On, Ashley Poston's The Princess and the Fangirl, and Casey McQuiston's Red, White amp Royal Blue.
If you loved The Curse of a Black Cat, then you're going to love this one, Gwydion shows themselves again and doesn't disappoint!

This story may have new characters, but make no mistake the same wit is there.
As before, it's a highly character driven story that you'll be sucked into quickly! One of the things I love about this series is how everything involving the curse is set up from the very beginning.
The story could have started with Fable in the present meeting Blaze, and shown everything in flashbacks, but it does not.
Why, because the curse is important,

So, from the very beginning, you can't help but wonder why with this Dragon named Blaze is the way he is.
Though given his name, the guess isn't too hard, Fable tries to help, but things are burned , and things take off from there.
From that time, you watch how time and again, both Fable and Blaze run into each other.
Running until they have no choice other than to deal with each other, Just how powerful apologizing is, How it's okay to ask for help or to get help before all hope is lost,

It's more than just a love story it's a redemption story, It all comes around in a circle, All the questions are answers, and the future is shining brightly for this cast of characters, You even get to see what Prince Alrik and Yuuki are doing,
