The protagonist makes up for any issues someone might have with the story, He's interesting, and is much more laid back than the standard occult investigator, While I felt the haunting was run of the mill stuff with a predictable conclusion, like I said the main character is a joy and I intend to pick up other stories in the series.
Well written but I found the protagonist to be a bit too anachronistic to be believable, Perhaps a little bit of background regarding his personality, how he managed

to fall into his line of work and how his neighbor knew about it would have gone a bit to making this a better story for me.
