I had high hopes when I went into this, but it didnt live up to the expectation, I think its because it often rhymes, and also because Hegleys wording is clunky, It was okay, but it didnt match up with the hype Im not sure if Ill read any more of his work, John Hegley's collections of poetry share a common interest in the absurdity and tragedy of everyday family relationships, and where possible humor is used to flesh these out.
