WORST, WORST, WORST, WORST, MOST AWFUL, MOST AMATEURISH, MOST AWFUL, MOST HORRIBLE, MOST TURGID, MOST HORRIBLY WRITTEN, MOST AWFUL "mystery" I've ever read, Who the hell is Mignon Eberhart anyway A remainder on a table in Stamford, Connecticut, and twentyfour years later I still remember how it made my fingernails curl away from the page of their own horrified accord.
. . Fabulous read. Truly wonderful. I wasn't so sure in the beginning because it was a lot of telling without any emotion or dialogue that led you anywhere, If it weren't a book club read I would have based on those firstpages or so but then the story really took off!
I thought the dog, Sissy, had solved the murder.
Then, of course, as usual the dog was my favorite character, Hard as it may be to believe, the inclusion of a sandbox for her added some interesting twists to the story, Eberhart kept me guessing until the very end who done it, to come. The trip aboard the FELICE began as a pleasure cruise, Attractive young Sue Gates was certain that the yacht's owner Monty Montgomery intended to announce their engagement,
