Take The Veil Imagined By Blake K. Healy Exhibited In Physical Book
very interesting book that I understand a few people might struggle with but I find that keeping an open mind and relying on the Holy Spirit is the best way to deal subjects that feel foreign or new.
I see in the spirit and have had intense moments but not to the extent that the author has.
I wouldn't mind seeing more in the spirit but my priority is a deeper relationship with the Lord and if He brings me to a higher level of seeing, I would openly embrace it.
I think many Christians pursue the gifts rather than the One who gives and I believe in having a healthy balance and attitude.
This book was encouraging and presented these concepts in a way that did just that, This book was one of the most fascinating books Ive ever read, Ive had many supernatural encounters in my lifetime and so Im not a stranger to things like this, But though at times while reading this I found myself thinking, “This seems completely fantastical”, I also understand that the God I serve, who created the universe, time itself, things seen and unseen, can never be put into a tiny box.
And just because I havent experienced things this way, most certainly does not mean that its not done,
What I loved the most about this book was the authors humility about his gift and how he constantly circles back to the fact that its not about the gift but about the relationship with the Father.
He also clearly recommends the Holy Spirit teaching you amp showing you how to see in the Spirit, as well as highly recommends spiritual coverings of mothers and fathers in the faith who you can go to for advice about things youre seeing and have accountability.
While you may question some of things in this book, maybe you wont agree with everything that is said, you will find the author seems very down to earth and genuine in the telling of his encounters and you will hunger for more of God.
Im actually going to read this book again because I read it so fast I feel I need to go back and chew on it more! This is not your Sunday school material.
Once you start, you will want to finish and then reread,
Well, I've reread the book and understanding opened more,
With all the horror stories in books and movies, why would the Word of God tell us to seek this gift Because behind the veil we see more of the Presence of God.
And with the Presence of God we receive the very things that would allow us to live a quiet and peaceful life.
Yes, behind the veil, one would see the evil that is used to sway people from God with fear as a strong tool in satan's arsenal.
Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these thing, the things of God, will be added to YOU! The Veil: An Invitation to the Unseen Realm by Blake K.
Healy
Blake provides stories about his very unusual gift of seeing in the spirit realm surrounding him and those he encounters.
I enjoyed, but also struggled with this book, Having grown up around these types of prophetic and visionary pieces, I think the intentions are usually pure but can be embellished and there is a skepticism I now bring to it based on those who willfully mislead.
I found some of it braggy, Barnum like, and oddly darker than expected, but fascinating as well, To be able to see life and others this way, people transparent in their true challenges, the menacing or protective spirits surrounding those things, and a persons raw identity would be amazing.
The imagery of Giant Angels and so much more, For all my remaining questions, Blake Healy has helped some people with this, If it is truly his gift, then what a talent to have, I hope he uses it well,
“He said that a spirit is “raw identity,” the genetic code that tells everything else how to exist.
Your spirit exists outside of time and is everything you will ever be, In fact, everything you are is so unique and complex that it is only fully expressed over the course of your entire life.
You would probably say that you are a different person now than you were five, ten, or fifty years ago.
Your spirit is full of that, all at once, and is also everything you will ever be, Your life is an expression of the spirit that God created, Life certainly isnt perfect but knowing that the original blueprint is always available convinces me that it most certainly could be.
”
“If you know what God has to say about you, then it doesnt matter what anyone or anything else has to say.
”
“While part of the strategy of the demonic is to deceive us into believing lies about ourselves, the other part is trying to get us to believe those lies about others.
I dont know why we feel the compulsion to condemn, Maybe it makes us feel better about ourselves or our sense of justice becomes tweaked by our own wounds.
Whatever the reason, this is not how God treats people, "
“People sometimes tell me that theyre afraid to pursue seeing in the spirit because they think seeing all the demonic will overwhelm them.
The truth is that its much more terrifying to see how much God cares for us, Its a love that changes everything it touches, You can never go back once youve seen it, Youll forgive when you dont want to, give up anger before youre ready, and become friends with people you wouldnt have wanted to sit next to.
All inspired by the profound revelation of his unyielding love, ”
“It is our fears, grudges, and wounds that let demons in and it is our fears, grudges, and wounds, that make it impossible for them to leave.
These pains and attitudes may seem insurmountable at times, That is because they are, ”
“The Bible is not a set of rules and regulations that must be followed to earn a place near God.
It is a picture, painted over thousands of years, of Gods pursuit of mankind, It is the story of the bridegroom seeking his bride, Is he going to strike you with lighting or pull all his blessings from your life if you sin Probably not.
But he gave you his heart to protect, Religion prevents you from seeing in the spirit because it puts a wall of regulation and duty where God intended to put love.
It makes you a slave when hes looking for a son, ” This was recommended with discernment by sitelinkSpirit Daily,
I could not put it down, The author seems genuine, sincere, devout, He is of a different faith tradition than myself, so much of what he writes about sounds slightly foreign to me and yet is still completely comprehensible.
This is an autobiographical account and not meant to be a theological treatise, Blake Healy is one human being and this is what he has personally lived, seen and experienced, It is for each reader to read, pray, sift, and determine what is useful for him/her in their own journey.
God is HE WHO IS and so much more than what any one of us can ever explain, write about, know or experience during the longest of lives.
, so this book is bound to be only the smallest of facets of His Immense Beauty, Holiness, and Truth.
A very interesting book, Not one I can rate, and yet I was encouraged and inspired in my own faith tradition as I read it, although I did not agree with all the author wrote.
Still I commend Mr. Healy's respectfulness of all genuine faith traditions which love the LORD, God,
I think most Christian believers in HOLY ANGELS and the ALL MIGHTY GOD would find something here worthwhile, but again, with discernment.
The Veil by Blake K Healy is a powerful Christian book about living within the spiritual realm, There is the personal testimony of the author as well as a narrative showing how to receive this spiritual gift from God.
It is important to know who you are in God and what He says about you and over you.
We need to press into our relationship with God, “Knowing who you are in Christ determines how you think, ” We need to focus our minds on God, “Make your relationship with God the core of your identity, ” Let His word be the fragrance in our lives, “When youre a child of God, you change everything you touch, ”
There are things that may keep us from hearing God, such as fear and unforgiveness, The enemy wants to keep us from God but he has no power over us, “Demons have no authority over you unless you give it to them, ” Our identity is in Jesus and what He says about us,
Life is a spiritual battle, We need to stand on the word of God and build a relationship with Him to defeat the enemy.
“Gods love is a love that changes everything it touches, ”
The Veil is a powerful read that will enhance your walk with God as you learn to press into Him.
It is written in a very personable style and accessible for all ages from twelve upwards, There are lessons to be learnt, scriptures to take to heart and a relationship with God to be built.
I received this book for free, A favourable review was not required and all views expressed are my own,
What a fascinating read! If you believe in the continuation of the miraculous spiritual giftings then I think you would enjoy it.
If you have not been around charismatic Christianity before it might be a little too strange for you, It is a shorthour read about a man who can see the spiritual realm, He simply describes what he sees when he goes to church, on walks, or to a local coffee shop and then at the end of each chapter describes simple truths that he has learned from these experiences.
At first I was a little hesitant because I had never heard of this before however it all lines up with scripture and he belongs to a very well respected christian community with orthodox beliefs Bethel.
This book was eye opening for me to see what is going on all around me every day without me even giving it a thought.
I think it will change the way I approach prayer and spiritual matters, It was a revelation in so many ways but also so simple and intuitive at the same time, I really enjoyed this book, It stretched me! This book is so so good and well written, I knew what I was getting into when I saw it was written by a Bethel author, . . along with an endorsement from Bill Johnson himself, I didnt want to read it but so many people were recommending it to me based on my recent growth in certain spiritual gifts.
My review:
It was a let down helpful, but I saw the New Age coming from miles away.
At one point I laughed so hard because the author said his mentor was fired for walking too much in New Age practices.
. so basically the majority of what he himself practices,
The focus of the book is “this can be your gift too” and “the Holy Spirit wants you to have this.
”
I personally dont believe that, However, for someone who is growing in the gift of discernment, this book had its very helpful moments, I would not recommend it to someone, especially if it their first introduction to the spiritual realm, But with a rooted understanding in what scripture says about spiritual things, this book was helpful to me, It had insightful moments and I could easily sift through the prosperity,
Overall,/. I could not get into this book, a bit preachy religiously and a bit dark on the gift, he had.
The first book I read that began to open my eyes and light a fire in my spirit for seeing the unseen.
From there, I began to pursue God on a new level and with new zeal, That was about two and a half years ago and I have since heard the voice of God and now regularly have prophetic visions and dreams that I am watching come to pass more and more.
I would be even further along if I hadn't gotten discouraged by the pace I like things NOW!! and took a break for a year!
We are told that, if we are faithful with a little, God will give us more and I am seeing that take place in my life! And it all started with reading this book and believing like a child as Jesus instructed us to do.
Now, those beliefs are becoming reality backed by confirmation in the physical world, lest anyone think I'm just going crazy lol :D Im a seer also, and so read this book with great interest, thinking how wonderful it is that the author took a bold approach regarding this kind of prophetic gift for the sake of edifying and encouraging others.
For the most part, the purpose of said gift which is not better or more important than other spiritual gifts, for we are all different yet pertinent parts of a whole working body is to understand how to minister to, pray or intercede for someone.
We are certainly persuaded, influenced, and stand in the gap for others by spiritual awareness, Word of Knowledge, etc.
, but should never claim an “I know all” about any individual, This is where I had caution regarding the books message, Id be more apt to overlook the authors thought in the case of an oddly worded sentence slipping through.
However, I discovered the same opinion repeated several times throughout, Statements such as, “Id never met him, but I knew everything that could be known about him, ” This is troubling because scripture tells us that GOD ALONE knows our human hearts, He knows our secrets, purposes, and thoughts, We cannot possibly know everything there is to know about another human being, That negates the trust with which God calls each of us into his arms, and violates the intimate nature God wishes to have with each of us in our own personal relationship with him.
I Corinthians:, I Kings:, etc, . Its not my place to know everything there is to know about another person nor is it anybody elses.
There is a time coming in the Yohm Ha Din, the Day of the Lord, when everything covered up will be revealed, and all that is secret will be made known to all.
Judgment Day, although perhaps near, is not yet upon us, So with our spiritual gifts, we are to edify, encourage and help our fellow brethren, one to another by them we are also drawn closer to the Father, but we are not allseeing like the Father.
There is only one omniscient GOD, This is a good book full of nuggets of insight, I do believe the authors motivation and intentions were pure but, like everything apart from the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, are not absolute.
There are portions to cherish and parts to discern, .
