as good as the first one, I don't have a whole lot to say beside the fact that the ending did not make sense, Bringing the car back to the past and destroying it does not make everything that happened because of it disappear, To do that you would have to destroy the car in the time it came from before they happened, The timey whimey detector is going ding all over this, Love it!! The Doom Car has already destroyed racecar driver Stan McCloy, but his brother Buddy still cant seem to stay away from it.
Theres something about that gorgeous Cataluna

Something ancient and evil, But all Buddy sees is a way to win back his girlfriend from Will,the mysterious guy shes been seeing, Just one race and Sara will be his, Just one explosive raceto the death, This was the only book I would read as a kid, I just found it under my bed today and decided to do a quick read, I still enjoy it as an adult, Laughably bad yet so, so good ed on sitelinkLili Lost in a Book

First of all, this book is called The Deadly Fire.
. . but there is literally NO deadly fire in this entire book, whatsoever! Does not compute,



Anyway, I really liked the premise of this seriesa cursed girl born under a bad moon, time travel, magic, evil car, . . Yes please!

The people of the colony hated me because I was different, I had done no one harm but the people blamed for all their bad luck, They called me evil.
And finally I proved them right,
I murderedand I enjoyed it,

And this is why I was rooting for her and NOT William! He was awful and he can go fuck himself, Catherine literally did nothing to deserve her fate, She was just defending herself from all the assholes in her colony, Though I do admit that she may have done a smidge too far with all the murdering for fun Lol, But I do have a theory that every person shes killed in the car she thought was Will, . . so idk. Lol.

Unfortunately, at the end of the book, Will finally catches Catherine and destroys her.
He also destroys the car and basically undoes everything that happened in the books, including all the death Catherine caused, which, . . meh. Especially because Wills dad and brother are alive again, Those assholes And poor Catherine! BUT a twist happened there at the end that made me VERY happy, We end the book with Will meeting his new baby sister who, get this, has a freaking red crescent moon on her forehead, . . like Catherine did! Yes, bitch! How do you like Catherine now, you dick! Ha! So, because William destroyed the car and undid everything, he now has no memory of all he went through in the last three books, and therefore, doesnt recognize the mark.
Hehehe.

So the presentday idiot we get in this book is Buddy, The reason I say this is because this car turns everyone who wants it into dicks! All the main characters just turn into complete morons when they want/get the Cataluna.


So, this Buddy fellow, . . he beat up his brother pretty good over the damn car, The scene was insane, I really thought he had beat him to death! He didn't, but still! Also, his girlfriend was awful! He shouldve just dumped her as soon as she blatantly started hanging out with some other guy.
I did not like her, But her actions may have been due to, again, the Cataluna

There was one mention in this book, in the present day, where the main character goes to Gary Brandts party who is originally from sitelinkThe Overnight ! I always love these little Easter Eggs!

Overall, I enjoyed the series.
Even though the characters were meh, I really liked the premise and the just desserts ending of this book, which I was a huge fan of!

The Fear Street connection: Im pretty sure Fear Street wasnt even mentioned oncestars.
I liked this one more than the second book because I loved the car racing aspect, but this story is absolutely ridiculous, There is no consistent or congruent narrative besides the ridiculousness of Catharine being chased by William throughout history and she is trapped in the body of a car.
Silly. to come. i really wish he would continue with the story i love it But why is this titled The Deadly Fire There literally was no fire in the entire book
Anyway, the Cataluna Chronicles comes to an underwhelming end.
Stan, Sean, and Buddy are all part of a racing family, . . their dad purchases the sleek Cataluna and Stan can't wait to take the hot sportscar to the track, But we know that the car is possessed by Catharine of the's so of course he crashes and dies but the car doesn't even have a scratch.

In order to win his girlfriend back, Buddy decides to race Will in the Cataluna, Catharine is convinced Will is William Parker in disguise so makes it her mission to kill him, And there is more time travel and murky time travel logic as Will tries to defeat Catharine for good by messing with the continuum, Cause logic
These are the last of the OG Fear Street novels I had to read and they were probably the most disappointing of the bunch.
His other trilogies were at least fun, Im not used to disliking the main characters of Mr, Stines characters but this book made that exception, The ending is fun and it is a quick read, The final novel in the Fear Street miniseries, The Cataluna Chronicles, I'm still just so glad I finally got to read this trilogy! It was laughably bad but SO fun to read, A decent end to the trilogy, The time travel and how the Cataluna/Catherine were finally defeated didn't make a lot of sense, but it was a fast amp mindless read, Also, there was no fire

Like, the title is The Deadly Fire, . . where was the fire it was sick i luuuuuuuuuuuuuv d twist end I loved this series when I was younger it was one of my favorites, . . : This book is really good if u like books with many twists, I read this book while in middle school, I was a HUGE R, L. Tahu dong gimana gaya penulis yang satu ini, the only book that made me goosebumped, . . it is the best ending I've ever read and because of that I haven't slept after reading it, . It wasn't as good as I thought it would be after reading all the great reviews, It was a bit confusing and it didn't leave me with that awesome twist that i wanted to feel, . . R. L.
