Nur selten habe ich ein Buch gelesen, dass mich so sehr bewegt, wie dieses, Vom ersten Moment an, war ich gefesselt von Ljubow Kosmodemjanskaja, Ich glaube, ich musste zuvor noch nie bei einem Vorwort eines Buches weinen, doch hier konnte ich nicht anders,
Die Erzählungen aus der Kindheit der beiden Helden sind so simpel, doch so realitätsnah, ich dachte zeitweise, es würde über mich und meinen kleinen Bruder erzählt.
Ich habe mich einfach so sehr mit Soja und Schura verbunden gefühlt, ich musste mich zwingen, mein Lesen zu unterbrechen, um etwas anderes zu tun.
Und selbst dann konnte ich nur noch an sie denken, als wären sie alte Freunde aus Kindertagen,
Der Schreibstil ist so fantastisch, selbst bei der Beschreibung der allgemeinen Reaktion auf Lenins Tod musste ich weinen, und ich bin ihm nicht einmal verbunden.

Dann später. . Beginnend mit dem Kapitel "Abschied", konnte ich das Buch weder beiseite legen, noch meine Tränen trocknen, Die letzten siebzig Seiten las ich in eineinhalb!! Stunden, weil ich immer wieder stoppen musste, um mich halbwegs wieder zu fangen, Ich kann mich nicht an ein Buch erinnern, dass mich emotional so ergriffen hat, dass ich über siebzig Seiten nicht aufhören konnte, zu schluchzen und zu weinen.

Ich besitze eine Ausgabe dieses Buches von, meine Großmutter gab es mir einmal mit, als ich noch sehr jung war, Sie selbst erhielt es in der Schule für gute Zensuren, Ich bin froh, dass ich es erst jetzt gelesen habe, da ich es wahrscheinlich emotional nicht verarbeiten hätte können, Als ich anfing, es zu lesen, habe ich mich gefragt, ob meine Großmutter es selbst auch gelesen hatte, Ab dem Kapitel "Abschied" fand ich dann immer wieder vergilbte Abdrücke von Tränen, Diese Geschichte ist so groß, dass sie über Generationen berührt,
Ich wünschte, sie wäre in meinem Land bekannter, Jeder sollte sie hören und verstehen, wie Soja, Schura und so viele unglaublich mutige junge Leute in den Krieg zogen, nicht nur für sich, sondern aus der Überzeugung und dem Pflichtgefühl aller Länder gegenüber.
Meines Erachtens sollte es Pflichtlektüre im Geschichts oder Literaturunterricht werden,
Und da dieses Buch auf goodreads nur in der Originalfassung zu finden ist, würde ich zum Schluss noch gerne Gudrun Düwel erwähnen, die diese Begebenheiten ins Deutsche übersetzt hat, jedenfalls in der Auflage, die mir vorliegt.
