book stumped me a little in how I was going to review it, So much happens and the story is told in different sections from different points of view, but from the same person, Tricky isn't it, I bet you had to read that sentence a few times to get what I was saying and even then I don't think you can fully understand until you've read the book.
I do recommend reading this book, it's nothing like what I expected which I think is the sign of a great storyteller,
When writing reviews I think it's paramount not to give away any spoilers which can prove to be difficult at times, but just like the main character Lottie just one of her names I think it brings a little mystery which will hopefully assist in intriguing others to read the book.
What I can tell you is that sex is high on the agenda in this book and it is written in great detail, There were some words which made me stop in my tracks which I never expected, but given the nature of the setting I can understand why the majority of them were used.
That being said, I think those words were what stopped me from giving this book a fullstars,
This book is sexual, mysterious and delves into worlds in a way you may have never before seen them,
This author gave me one damn good read, This book has an air of elegance about it, despite being set in recent times it takes me back to older books such as the story of O.
Charlotte is a young lady who has endured a terrible illness as a child and as a young adult she is quiet and numb to the world around her.
What follows is a story of self discovery , Charlotte goes through an incredible journey encountering several key people open her eyes to another world of pleasure and pain.
Charlotte soon discovers that she has a talent and the Chambermaid is born,
This book has mystery, it's complex, Charlotte had some relatable traits about her and yet handles some completely unrelatable situations with strength and dignity,
This is erotica at its best and I can't wait to continue with this series BBShining Diamond

sitelink com Oh my goodness this is such a fantastic story!! The missing star is because of the bloody C word again but I can't express enough just how good this is.
I don't want to give too much away so this review will be short, Yes there's sex in fact quite a lot of proper hot panty wetting sex but and it's a big BUT the underlying story is what sets it apart from so many other books that have hot sex in them.
Lottie's story is beautiful and yet heartbreaking in so many places, I want to say more here but I don't want to ruin it for others all I will say is this give it a go cause it's well worth reading Gripping, Deep, Thought Provoking Read! I Loved It! FREE on Amazon today! Though its billed as chicklit, A Fine Profession by Sarah Michelle Lynch is much more than that simple genre tag allows.
What I discovered between these electronic pages is an involved story thats engaging in ways as to draw the interests of both sexes, To label it as mere chicklit or erotica serves only to lure a certain segment of readers while keeping others at bay,
This is the story of Lottie, a practitioner of all things sexual, hence the erotica label, But the story delves deeper into the human condition, examining the choices made by this one woman, Lottie is the one telling the story of her own sexual awakening, spilling her secrets to Heath, a private investigator sent to track down this mysterious Chambermaid.
The sex scenes certainly call for an audience ofyears of age and older but dont be turned away, Lynch has crafted a wellwritten story filled with fleshedout characters that are as real as any literary characters Ive ever read, We learn of Lotties childhood battle with illness, of her struggles with earlyadulthood responsibilities, and of the true love she seeks, But just who sent this private investigator to track down the Chambermaid Youll have to purchase your own copy to get answers, This is a book I feel safe in recommending, I dont normally read erotica, but A Fine Profession offers so much more than simple sex,
This book has a strong streak of honesty, which makes it speak as a true story, I will admit that I did not know A Fine Profession was based on a true story while I was reading it however, I strongly suspected this was the case and felt very justified when I discovered I was correct.
This book has complex characters, situations, and interactions and tells the tale of a "lost" woman searching for her identity, A Fine Profession shows how a normal, regular woman can journey through the sex culture and come out better for it, For those who are interested in reading a genuine "women's issues" story with a strong taste of erotica, I would recommend this book to you, Librarian's note: This is an alternate cover edition for BDVSJQ,
A mysterious woman tells her tale to the private investigator sent to find her
Lottie reveals the tragic events that led her into the arms of a community of freeloving people.
Within the secretive confines of the Lodge, she has a chance to be herself and escape the banality of her day job,
A ménage à trois doesn't work out how she expected and she leaves behind the friends who helped her find her creativity, She goes on to explore her need for control, adopting the guise of a domme, But a domineering man arrives in her life and overthrows everything she previously believed, He is unforthcoming about his past but we never discover the reasons, We know they were parted, but why
Part one of a twopart story, Concluded in A Fine Pursuit, First off I get all of my books free or really cheap, the nice thing is I get to find new authors and read books I probably never would have.
The cover is very decieving, this is not just an erotic story, Yes there is some hot sex but I don't even remember much of that I remember Lottie's story her difficult childhood and adult hood, Low self esteem and depression are
difficult to live with and she had to make some tough choices in the story, It just reminded me of Cinderella in some parts, Good read. Good read
this story was very complex and good, it took a little to get into it since it starts off weird, but ended up to pull you in and not want to stop reading, I have bought the next book too, the story is based out of London so the language is a little different,
overview: a girl who cover comes the odds and then has no selfesteem and has to find herself in the world, has several heart breaking issues happen and the book leaves you hanging, Kristy dean.
