tried to like this book, I really did. But there's a certain demographic/audience for this and it looks like I'm not part of it, I didn't like this for the same reason that I don't click on every other video online that says "wahahaha laugh trip" or "watch Vice Ganda " or "buti nga sayo, gago".
I didn't appreciate this for the same reason that I make sure I have my earphones on when in a PUV so I don't hear insertPUVradiostationhere DJs and their pick up lines.
I couldn't jump into the bandwagon for the same reason I couldn't jump into our local TV's bandwagon, I get where the humor comes from, I know why it should be funny, I just wasn't laughing. My boss saw me reading it and said it was supposed to be funny so why did I look pissed For the record, I always look pissed so I wasn't pissed.
I didn't like the book, yes, but I didn't hate it either, The writing is raw. There was a time when I thought everything raw and contemporary was cool, I'm not that person anymore so I guess that was the problem,

In all fairness, the hardest part to publishing anything is actually writing it so I envy this guy for getting through that.
May dalang nanay. Waiting for Pangalawang Putok! hehehe, but for now mag back read nlng muna ako sa blog mo, sayang dme na nabura na posts, .
Glentot si now one of my favorite Filipino authors kasi madami syang sinirang buhay pero kapupulutan mo nman ng aral yung mga istoryang sinulat nya.
May moral lesson kumbaga. hahaha!
Keep it up! alam kong mgging successful ang Unang Putok! God Bless, :D Gaya ng inaasahan ko, . the best ang book nto, . pede nang pngtapat ky bob ong, . green version nga lang hahaha, . but i like it!. It was a little beforemidnight.
My night lamp was on, I was lying comfortably in bed, my head elevated with my stacked pillows, and my face covered with a facial mask.
I had the book in my hand with every intention to finish it before I call it a day.
I just read through the first few paragraphs and already I was laughing, but since I had a facial mask on and my roomies were already sleeping, I did my damnedest to suppress my laugh bad call.
The effort soon had me suffering from a coughing fit, my throat was burning, my eyes watering, and there was a big possibility I might have woken up my roomie.
So much for trying to keep the noise down huh, This happened when I started reading the first book of one my favorite bloggers, Glentot of Wickedmouth, entitled "Unang Putok.
"

The book chronicles the adventures and misadventures of the author, including the colorful personalities in his life like his childhood friend, Khikhi, his aunt whom he likes to call, Sasha Fierce, his mom, Doris, Lola Siony, among others.
If you are a fan of his blog, you will definitely love this book because it promises nonstop entertainment, which made Glentot one of the most popular humor bloggers around.
The book is absolutely funny, wicked, naughty, a real pageturner, and will sure have you wishing that it didn't have to end.

Majority of the stories are new, while a few had been republished as they were previously posted on Wickedmouth.
My absolute favorite is the story of his friend, Benjamin, No spoiler here so you gotta grab your own copy,

Go ahead, grab a hold of your own Unang Putok book, and when you do be sure to spread the happiness around.
Sulit much!

Glentot, hula ko lang: ikaw na ang susunod na Bob Ong, Magtatago ka na rin ba mula sa susunod na putok The Story's amazing as hell and Laughable as Fck but It's very good for someone who has a huge sense of humor XD nakakaumay ang mga obscene words.

I've written a brief review of this book at the following link: sitelink literateknolohitura. com/

Visit and let's discuss : I think the author did his best, Kelangan ganyan ang simula, friend ko kasi sya dito, haha, Pero ayun, kulang pa. Anyway, I think he has potential, He has to find a brilliant way though to put his stories together, Nagdate kami ni bf sa SM North nung nakita ko ito, binili ko agad kasi alam ko na maganda yung laman nung libro, at hindi naman ako nagkamali.
Lakas tawa talaga ako dito, . . ! Favorite ko yung "Glenn Taba" and The Khikhi Ismael Experience, Kahit may pasok ako di ako natulog mabasa lang ang libro, . . hanggang sa office dala ko sya, Waiting for Pangalawang Putok! Nakakatawa, Nakakaaliw. Nakakatuwa.

Wickedmouth: Unang Putok is a creative presentation of the persona, being the wicked and witty protagonist of his messy existence called life.
Rarely that we notice that our life is a big mess that can be a subject for comedy, but the author had been observant enough and recalled details of his hilarious experiences.
What made these entries different from a usual memoir is how it was delivered, Humor is at its best when timing is effectively employedthat made the difference,
The authors humor left the context of slapstick style and made use of sarcasm instead, A lot of times, readers are left thinking of what ifs, and reflecting on how they would deal with these things had they been on the same situation.
This holds the reader until the very last page,

The style of ridicule and mockery is reflected all throughout, The use of expletives speaks of the authors way to intensify the emotions included in every entry in order to bridge the gap between what is ideal and what is real.
Ignoring the shoulds of screening made the tone direct, realistic and downright personal, coming from a young adult that exists in everyone else.
The consistent address to readers and the spontaneous outoftheblue thoughts that suddenly pop within an entry become ice breakers within the notsoheavy text.
Let me call those commercial breaks,

Illustrations are excellently done that they complement the writings instead of becoming mere dividers, They supplement the humor that is conveyed, making it more hilarious when your imagination is confirmed upon turning to the next page.
They didnt spoil nor overshadow the writings instead, they came up with the precise portrayal of whats going inside the readers' minds.

A real craft and a mustread, Kudos, Glentot and Sir Mots!
I think may moral lesson din somewhere, 'di ako sure, Basta. .
