on Mostly Murder (Claire Morgan #6)

keeps outdoing herself with each story, Perfect

Another perfect read and the best epilogue ever! Can't wait to see what's in store next as usual for this group of characters.
Edit, please. Good bad guy, though

Grammar issues abound, POV issues. Telling instead of showing. Issues that make it hard to ignore I give writers and editors some lady since nobody's perfect, too many mistakes here, though.

What I love about this series is the bad guys, This one didn't disappoint. Though, there need to be more red herrings and I couldn't believe the number of times a piece of evidence was ignored or given a backseat to the prevailing theory.

The relationship with Black has taken some turns in this one, I like it, but Claire is way too forgiving,

I will warn you that this is a series you will quickly become addicted to, This is a murder mystery darker that I usually read, but the description caught my attention and I had to read it.
I have never any of Linda Ladd's work before and coming into the middle of a series can be difficult as I can have a hard time trying to see how all the characters fit together.
I was surprised how easy it was to catch up on events from earlier books so that Mostly Murder flowed smoothly.
I was able to read without getting lost, The characters are so diversified and well developed with varied levels of complexity, At first I did find Nick a bit hovering and controlling, but as I got into the story I understood why and could sympathize as to his reasons for wanting to keep her safe.

Clair Morgan and Nicolas Black have returned to where both spent time when they growing up.
Clair is participating in a law enforcement exchange program and Nick, a psychiatrist for the rich and famous around the world, is opening another hotel.
He has purchased and restored a home of mansion proportions, It is staffed with a cook/housekeeper amp groundskeeper/major domo couple that also doubles as body guards and security.
Nick is off in England when a serial killer begins a reign of terror,

Malice enjoys inflicting terror on others and he has been perfecting his techniques since he was a young boy and practiced on his sister and cousin.
As the body count grows Clair and her team try to figure out why a voodoo doll with a picture of Clair's face attached is found at the crime scenes.
Is this the time Clair has finally met her match or can Nick keep her safe from the killer obsessed with her.

The topic of this book was interesting, unfortunately the author skirted around the subject and didn't elaborate as much as she could have.
Also, the characters were a little jumbled, and the sarcastic wit of the main character was missing from this book.
It was good, and kept me enthralled, but again, not as much as the beginning books, I hope the next one is similar to the first few, I would put this at a/, I figured it out about/of the way through but ended to see how it would turn out, Never disappointed with this series, sitelink letturesalepepe. com/recen another awesome book! This one takes place in the bayous where Claire spent time as a child which is a nice change of pace.
Still truly terrifying in places and utterly creepy in others, A tough, nononsense detectiveedgy, clever!” Beverly Barton

Getting into crimes against children, which I don't care to read about, This evil guy is truly sick and I'm glad this adventure is over, Easily a./You know how you're reading the end of a book, finish, and just sit there saying "Wow, " Yeah, it's like that. As usual, Claire faces off against one of the most depraved of the deranged in a twisty tale fraught with a red herring or two.
What Claire goes through in the end is truly nailbiting and horrific, The bayou setting is fresh and interesting, Let's not forget the epilogueNo spoilers, but Fist PumpYay!Finally!: If I have to nit pick, I will say this.
. . Claire and Black need to freaking learn to communicate at some point, After the part where my heart fell in my chest, I wasn't satisfied with Black's explanation of his activities where he was 'rarely' in danger.
Uggg what does that even mean! As a crack investigator Claire should have demanded more and deserved more, It seems to work for them, but I really need an eye roll emoticon to convey my feelingsDespite that, I so look forward to the next installment that will release this year.
I really hope that Claire takes Nick up on a certain idea he has for her, We all know she will still get herself into danger/trouble! I have enjoyed all the books in this series.
These are particularly awful murders with really warped killers, There is always twists and turns that are not expected,

The only thing I don't like about the stories is that it is unrealistic to think that multiple warped killers are showing up in the same very small town.
This book solves that problem by moving to the New Orlean's environs,

I will read more of the series,E MEZZO Can't stop! Addicted to the creepylicious series, Another great Claire Morgan detective book! Can't wait until the next book in the series comes out, books and I've loved each one, And I still haven't been able to figure out who the bad guy is, I really thought I had it this time, but nope, she surprised me again, Great series!
