read, I loved it,
yr old grandson couldnt put it down
He is looking forward to the next book And so am I! I received this book for free via Goodreads First Reads.

This book has gotstars, It has a few typos and is scientifically inaccurate in places but it is hasfrom me, The reason being that it is a really fun read!

Sometimes I just want to put my brain into a lower gear and read something light that I enjoy.
I really enjoyed this book, It borrows ideas from a lot of science fiction and fantasy but that is not always a bad thing, The characters go through a lifetime of experiences in a few pages and that could grate for some people but I was reading it while smiling!

I think a lot ofyear olds would love this book and it could be read to younger kids too.
I think a lot of bigger and older kids would love it too! I think even the author knew she was not writing a classic but what she has wrote is fun! Leave your logical mind behind and enjoy! I won this book through Goodreads and loved it.
Such an exciting interesting read, Really a great storyline. Loved it. Received as a Christmas as present and rediscovered recently!
This is a great scifi adventure foryear old and light read for adults,
There were some punctuation and formatting tweaks I would make but the storyline is quite engaging and I enjoyed the relationship between the two siblings, So I won this book as part of a giveaway on Goodreads, so here's my review:

I don't really know what to say about this book.
I think it was edited by an amateur or

at least I hope it was, there were some oddly worded and structured sentences and some spelling errors.
But I can get past all that for a good story,

And the story was good, although I feel like this book was geared more towards a younger crowd then me, The description on Goodreads makes it sound "young adult" but I think it's more for younger teens, I feel like it lacked some character development, and it's written from the perspective of anyearold boy but I had trouble believing that, I think the feel of the narration would have fit better if the main character had been his younger sister maybe that's just me though,

It was actionpacked but I feel like the narrator and his sister are probably the luckiest people in the universe, They get into impossible situations then something pops out of nowhere to save the day, I just wanted one time for them to be stuck for a bit, but that never happened,

I found I liked part two better than part one, but it also contained the part that bothered me the most, No one was supposed to know Mike had "special abilities" but no one once questioned that he could talk to all these aliens that no one has ever contacted before! I think they need to find a smarter crew.
. .

All in all, a great first attempt at a book better than I could ever hope to do, that's for sure, I feel like the story was there, but this could have been two or threepage books instead of one rather short book with everything packed in to aroundpages.
I do feel myyear old nephew would really enjoy this and I am looking forward to lending it to him! This story begins in the year.
Earth is sending ships on missions to find other planets suitable for humans to colonize, as Earth has reached a point where its resources have become very limited.
Jamie's father is an astronaut for NASA and during a mission, his space ship encounters a meteor storm, The ship loses transmission and disappears from Earth's radar, He and the crew are presumed dead, the theory being, they were hit by a large meteorite at the time, Jamie believes his father is still alive,
The Cooper Chronicles follows the journey of Jamie Cooper as he embarks on a mission to find his missing father, What follows is an amazing adventure where Jamie and his sister Kristyn are kidnapped and taken from their space ship to the city of Voltair, After escaping, they travel though the desert on Knaks until they reach the country of Baltor, It is there that they learn their father is being held prisoner in Borsch castle, They set out with the help of a friendly alien, Femir, to find their father, clinging to the hope that he is still alive, What they will find along the way will ultimately change their lives forever,
This book has something for everyone, It has adventure, excitement, humour and in the second part, even romance, Most of all, it is pure escapism into another world that people will love to lose themselves in, .
