on The 7th Day

Lubitsch'sth Day flows like your favorite television drama, It's chapters are easily divisible by the mock news clips she provides to give you a quotient of interconnected episodes from a series about a woman on trial for murdering her husband.
I really enjoyed it. I wrote a full review on my blog: sitelink com/blog/ ,Sterne Rating:stars

"Theth day" by Nika Lubitsch is a story about a women who's on trial for killing her husband.

The first half was intriguing, I liked the writing style, but the second part was way too predictable and therefore quite boring.

This a highly rated German mystery with a twist, a great whodoneit told in a chilling fashion.

. .metų draugystės ir iki dienų pabaigos saugomos paslapties našta, Galbūt ji kada nors papasakos, kaip viskas buvo, kai jį nušovė, Juk laikas gydo žaizdas. Laimingos pabaigos nebus, bet galbūt bus nauja pradžia I really enjoyed this book, I was worried about it being originally in German but the translation was excellent, I just skipped over the words I did not know amp could not pronounce, The characters were extravagant and kinda selfish but that was fine, The main character takes us back through her memories as she sits on trial for murdering her husband.
I was kinda hoping he was not really dead but he was, During the flashbacks I was trying to get clues as to who the actual murderer was because the wife says it was not her.
The second half of the book walks us through an investigation to find the actual murderer.
Overall I enjoyed the suspense amp the mystery, Nika Lubitschs Germanyset crime novel is a pageturning adventure that sticks in your mind,
Sybille is on trial for her husbands murder, While on trial, as witnesses queue up to defame the onceglamorous darling of the society pages, flashbacks tell the story up till now.
The structure is reminiscent of Memento, as our central character, and the reader, try to make sense of what has happened.
The question also arises, can we trust our narrator

As her lawyer, Ulli, battles to prove her innocence over six days of legal proceedings, Sybille recalls how she met Michael, their life together and how it all fell apart in such spectacular fashion.
The young heady days of falling in love, the resilience of their romance in overcoming obstacles, their joys and triumphs are believable and enjoyable.

So well are Lubitschs characters drawn, that you feel you know them as good friends.
So when Sybilles world collapsed, I found myself saying, But how could he Thats just not like him.

The clues are expertly woven and the tension increases over this taut, lean thriller till we discover the truth of the tale on the seventh day.
The ending is atmospheric and exciting, not to mention brilliantly executed,
Unsurprisingly, a Kindle bestseller,

One of my favourite elements of this books was the use of setting, Berlin society comes vividly to life and after I put the book down, I started planning my next minibreak.
This is the perfect book for a long train journey, as its short enough to devour in one sitting.
But woe betide anyone who tries to talk to you before you get to the end.

Good story with a twist I didn't realize until I went to review this book that it was translated from German.
The city and business names were impossible to pronounce! I just skimmed them over,

The book is a page turning mystery, but very repetitive, Just when you think you're going to find out the answer, you have to start reading it all over again, from a different perspective.
At the end of the book, it takes a bunch of twists and turns and gets a bit hard to follow.
If you don't know a ton about investments, it's definitely more than a little hard to follow.
The "mafia" is just kind of thrown in there with little explanation, I feel that part should have been expanded upon,

Sybil is pretty self centered and leads an entitled life, Through her demise, she does realize this so I suppose it makes her a redeemable character.
She wants sympathy for losing her baby, deservingly so, But the fact that she's too old to have a child now doesn't really deserve much sympathy after she aborted a child early in their relationship basically just for her career.
I still have a bunch if questions though after finishing this up though,

Why did she actually confess Had she figured if out and was trying to keep herself safe Why would the killer frame her in the first place He could have made the murder look like an accident in other ways, why do that to her other than not having a plot for the book How did he even know to follow her It never revealed her telling anyone where she was going or what she was planning.

In the end, you feel sorry for her, Michael, and Gabi, The twist of his letter threw me a bit off, I knew they were going to reveal that it wasn't a suicide but why would she actually kill him For Michael For what he did to frame Sybil I would give this author another shot.
It wasn't predictable and kept your attention well, Fast read, lots of tense, unusual writing style, . .
Good amusement.

Unusual thriller. Different stories and perspectives from a single murder,

Jetzt lese ich Mord im, Haus : "The Seventh Day" has been on the top of the German Kindles bestselling list for many months.

Sybille and Michael are a happy couple, finally expecting their first baby, But then Michael disappears without a trace, Sybille finds herself in the middle of a living nightmare, When her husband is found, stabbed to death, there is one suspect only: his wife who is charged with murder.
While listening to the witnesses testimonies in court, Sybille in her mind revisits her life with Michael.
On day seven of the trial, suddenly the truth dawns on her, Now, she only has to find a way to prove it,
This devious mystery is set in Berlin and at a secret place, which is so secret that some readers recognized it.
Am Ende wird die Tat selbst herzlich wenig beleuchtet, this was okay just okaay.

did like the epilogue, though! Labai patiko istorija, Iki paskutinio psl. Ne banali. Read the English version, Theth Day, . . excellent! I. loved. this. book. I was initially concerned when I grabbed it, seeing as how it is a GermanEnglish translation, but lawdy, lawdy.
I was not disappointed in the least,

This book begins in the courtroom, The story is told from three different points in time, You see while Bille is going through her trial, you see how she got to where she is on trial and thend half of the book is what occurs after the trial.
I have so many things I could say about this book, but, well, that would include MANY spoilers and well, 'ain't no one got time for that!'

Bille is.
complex. Micha loves Bille. The things that occur are unexpected, The outcome of this book is unexpected, The twists and turns and the betrayal and, well, trust me when I say, this is not a book that has been aKindle seller in Germany for just any reason.
I devoured this book in one sitting and you should too!,
