women are wonderfully made, but, boy, we sure are emotionally intricate, With her trademark conversational style and wit, Patsy Clairmont tackles a subject most women feel at a loss to approachtheir feelings,
"I Second That Emotion" takes one of Patsy's most popular topics at the Women of Faith conferences and shows how you can deal with a turbulent emotional life.
"I Second That Emotion" pulls some of our emotions out to examine them individually, Think of this book, study guide, and DVD as a spaa place to be refreshed, revived, and even repaired a little, Don't allow life to push your emotional buttons till you have an emotional meltdown, Instead, let God help you get untangled, it was kinda like hearing Carrie Bradshaw of SATC talk if she were a Christian, It was funny and the prose is good, on the other hand I felt that it could have been better had there been more stories on how the author managed to overcome her crazy emotions through God's grace.
Still a fun read though, Patsy has a wonderful way of adding humor to normally boring subjects, Her lighthearted writing style make the book easy to read and relate to, The chapters are short, so you can use the book as a daily devotional/selfhelp guide, I still need to do the study guide in the back of the book, But I love her humor and insights, So awesome It was ok. Just didn't really give me any new insight, Soooo funny, can totally relate to a lot of what Patsy says here, She may be neurotic, but it hits home how imperfect we are and how we can still be good Christian women despite that, I read a lot of good reviews for this book, so I was excited to dive in, Sadly, had a hard time getting into it, I love Patsy Clairmonts' writings, Everything she does is profound with humor to make it bearable, This is a great book, Patsy is a bookish woman who loves words and has a penchant for dark chocolate sorbet, Since spelling bees in grade school, childhood Scrabble games, right up to her current addiction with Words with Friends she has been known to spell it out, to say it like it is.
Much to her surprise Patsy has written a stack of books that continues to light her passion for the printed page, And nothing pleases her than to share her faith
through laughter and tears and to encourage others to flourish, A former agoraphobic Patsy never imagined the expansive plans God had in mind for her, She just wanted to make it to her neighborhood grocery store and safely home again, Instead, for the pastyears she has been traipsing throughout the U, S. and Canada Patsy is a bookish woman who loves words and has a penchant for dark chocolate sorbet, Since spelling bees in grade school, childhood Scrabble games, right up to her current addiction with Words with Friends she has been known to spell it out, to say it like it is.
