were a couple things I loved about this book the premise and the main characterThe premise was promising I'm a shifter fan so I liked the concept of there being weres and houndsPhaedra was awesome I loved her wit and humor I laughed out loud several timesespecially during her covert operations I think I'll start humming the MISSION IMPOSSIBLE theme song when I'm being sneaky Also I thought it was hilarious when she pulled her inner Sean Connery to the surface Seriously this character was fantastic If I was rating purely on her this book would getstarsUnfortunately I had to givestarsFirst I would have loved it if we had Gabriel's pov in parts Some people don't love the pov to switch but I would have loved it The whole time I was reading I felt a void because I had no clue what was going on inside of Gabriel He was such an intricate part of the story but didn't get much spotlight Second the author would give us a little heat in the love department but then it fizzled out before it even got started It was like having cold water thrown on you The scene would start off greatheavy kissing rubbing emotion etc And then nothing It would just stop There just needed to be better flow in the romantic parts The flow from hot and heavy to reality just needs better transition I was going to push this bitch of a car because according to my last boyfriend cars were females and with its sleek black leather interior this particular vehicle just screamed “vagina” off the parking garage roof What about the innocent people below you may ask You could kill pedestrians Fuck the pedestrians The pedestrians wouldnt cover the cost of my insurance if my car got scratched or stolen simply because Id relegated it to a poor mans parking space So I pushed and I shoved and my feet one still in its pump and the other scrambling along the ground encased in my pantyhose dug into the hot pavement and gave me the leverage I needed to put the guilty car in uestion where I wanted it First few pages i was like Normally they would put Phaedra in an institution to get her head examined or locked up for the safety of mankind Phaedra Conners was not normal Her tone of voice was Psychotic to begin with Then comes Gabriel It was that urge to touch him the urge to draw closer that finally snapped me back This man despite his good looks and apparent good breeding had attacked someone to the point where they were nothing than a still body in the middle of the room The way the blood coated his mouth made me think hed bitten the man but that couldnt have possibly been the case What sort of person goes around biting people unless theyre high off of bath salts for the first meeting this one crossed so many levels of weirdI have read books where the hero is first seen killing someone but this guy takes it to a whole new leveli get that he is a wolf but seriously why the dramaOverall Plot confusingcharacters read above and decide for yourselfso manystar review but unfortunately this book didn't click for me This is the first book in an interesting series about weres and other supernatural creaturesIt's about a troublemaker reporter Phaedra that ends up investigating a mysterious CEO Gabriel Evans She ends up finding out that he's the Alpha of a werewolf pack and because of her the weres are discovered by the general public Gabriel is captured and tortured by the FBI with the help of a shadowy group the Huntsmen and in the process of liberating him she finds that there are worse things than weres in the worldIt's a pretty complicated story that involves the Fae Specters traitorous wolves and sadistic authoritiesI loved the first half of the book Phaedra's personality is great but after she finds out about the weres things went downhill My main problem was the lack of sexsexual tension she ends up mated to Gabriel without sleeping with him and that just sucked The other issue I had was that the action took precedence over the romance in the second part and it lowered the enjoyment of the storyThat isn't to say I don't like a long courtship the Kate Daniels series is my favourite ever and the main characters end up having sex in the fourth book but the sexual tension in this one is totally absent for the second half of the book They just settled in a family and they are waiting for the other show to dropStill the story has potential and I hope it will pick up in the next installment er for Paranormal Romance and Authors that RockThis is the first book I have read by this author so I did not know exactly what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised The story starts with our Herione Phaedra Conners a reporter who unwittingly manages to foil a terrorist plot From this she is pulled into the world of the mysterious Gabriel Evans a billionaire with a shady story that the reporter in Phaedra can't resist She is not expecting to find out what she does however or the danger that it introduces her toI enjoyed the plot I thought it was original and well developed I like when an author puts a new twist on an old idea and we have that here I do have a couple of niggles though which is why I haven't given it the full rating It took a little while to get going and the first few chapters had me unsure of which direction the story was going I am glad I persevered as after this the story flowed fairly well I had a little difficulty connecting with the characters at times We hear Phaedra's thoughts but not always the motives and reasons behind those thoughts So even though she was uite a feisty character she seemed a little two dimensional at times Gabriel I did not uite know what to make of either

for similar reasons His actions were not always explained enough to understand his reasons I am hoping this will be developed in the further stories in the series I didn't dislike the characters but felt they needed a little fleshing out to help me really care for them All in all it was a good start to a series of books with a good plot I understand it's a trilogy It didn't end with one of those awful cliffhangers that make you want to scream in frustration but it left me with enough of a hook that I want to read the next partI give this afang rating Overall it was enjoyable and I would recommend copy supplied in exchange for an honest review All opinions stated are my own BRAVOWhen I wasn't absolutely enthralled in the action and story line I was cracking up with laughter I can't wait to read Haunted by Moonlight next Phaedra Conners has been in short supply of normal ever since she shoved a car full of explosives off of a parking garage Domestic terrorism would be an unappreciated skill set on any resume so shes a little surprised when she gets hired on as the personal secretary of multi millionaire Gabriel Evans Her new boss isnt your average CEO and when he finds himself falling for his assistant he knows that hell have to let her go Especially if he wants her to survive the week However denying himself turns out to be much harder than he thought it would bePhaedra has spent most of her life digging up secrets But not every door needs to be opened and some skeletons like to howl at the moon When I read this book there wasn't a uk review but theUS reviews were allstar so I figured it must be good right It started ok funny in places and to be honest it looked like a good book but then I just didn't get it the story as such seemed too long and dragged out it didn't flow or even really make much sense it lost my interest fairly early on I even had a couple of breaks I kept coming back purely because I figured I must have been missing something but in all honesty I just didn't care any reading this book had become a real chore and I just wanted to get to the end After reachingI just didn't want to read any since it really wasn't working for me I don't like the heroine but I don't like the heroine but The heroine isn't a nice person The hero is better but not as well developed Very unusual story that keeps rolling No real steam although there's some sexual tension in the first half of the book No worries if you're a reader who doesn't go for sex scenes More Paranormal than Romance although there is a touch of it This is a great story and a really different take on werewolf legend I would've loved romance but the lack of it most certainly Did Not mess the story up in Any way Actually this book is uite different from any other Were book I have Ever read This is a good thing my fellow readers It also entails some good humor which I always welcome and adore ANDI want to know what happens next in the series therefore I WILL BE reading the next book probability is high that I'll read All the books in this series Go Forth And Read My Friends I really enjoyed reading this book I kinda have girl crush on Phaedra she is just such a smartass I love it I think kissed by moonlight was a very good start to a new series it kept me figuratively and sometimes literally holding my breath waiting for what would happen next I thought the plot and werewolves wildhunt ect were very fresh and new different The action was great the suspense awesome the romance fell alittle flat for me don't get me wrong they had some seriously hot scenes and I am really glad Phaedra and Gabriel didn't jump each other's bones when they first met it wasn't the sex or lack there off It was their relationship I am hoping to see relationshipromance building in the next book Overall the book was very enjoyable and I am excited to see what's nextFavorite uotesparts of the book below “Gabriel” he breathed face rubbing against my own as if memorizing my features by touch alone “My name is Gabriel” His voice deepened and my thighs clenched inner muscles clutching at nothing as that smooth baritone seemed to fck every vowel and consonant that it uttered “Its the only name I ever want to hear come out of your mouth Say it” “Gabriel” His hips pressed forward and my head fell back of its own accord as his erection pressed against something small and sweet“Breathe it”“Gabriel” It escaped on a sigh as his teeth nipped my earlobe“Moan it for me”I obliged I couldnt help it It was only when he growled against the side of my neck in pleasure that some semblance of common sense tried to return “On my tombstone make sure my epitaph reads Here lies Phaedra Conners She didnt choose the Thug Life The Thug Life chose her” I have to admit that the name and the cover of this book intrigued me I've read a few booksseries Fae related and I have to say this one is the worseThere are a few reasonsFirst time Phaedra meets Gabriel he fights and bites a man and she doesn't even blink about it Who does that She just sits there and starts talking to him like nothing happened The man she met just seconds ago and the one who has his hands full of blood Literally That brings me to the point nomber twoHe doesn't even think that he might look strange or insane He meets a woman and is ready to confide his life in her WhyWhy was the whole story so badly explaned I still don't understand some information the author was trying to give us about Gabriel's kindSo one day he's just a handsome guy she knows and a few weeks later she wants to devour him with lust Some emotion or reasons would be very welcome here And then they become mates What I'm trying to say is that the story looks like a list of things that happen they meet she finds out the truth they get attacked but there's nothing behind itThe space in between is empty and you can see a great lack of emotion and reason behind the desisions they make or even their behaviour For the book to be characterized as romance there should be at least some emotionAs for Phaedra and Gabriel I can't like them either and for the same reasonI don't know them The lack of intrinsic world is obviousI just don't know why they do whatever it is they do what makes them who they are is it love boredom sense of duty and I can't forgive that There are a few scenes where you can see that she could be a funny heroine with potential for but those moments die a few lines aheadI just think that what's inside matters the most and without it this is just a plane and superficial story.
