was hook, line, and sinker for me once I realized how saucy Tia is, "I wouldn't try that if I were you, my lord, I am a wise woman and therefore know all the delicate places on a man's body, " She raised a brow as her gaze slid down his body until reaching the junction of his legs, " Braden I loved him, "I did not ask you here to warm my bed, " A slow smile drew his full lips upward, "At least, not right now, " When he's delirious the boy says not nice things, "sweetheart, you have a shawl covering you nakedness and nothing more, Now Jonathon and my own butler can see your beautiful body, " His voice changed to a husky slurred tone as he approached, "Maybe that is the way you like it Do you want people to watch as I eff you" I think I will like this series, it has mystery, intrigue, romance and the naughty bits are to die for.
The writing is very good in this historical romance and I've read a lot of this author's books, However, I found it easy to pick it up and put it back down and didn't really connect with the characters or the story, I supposed you can't love them all, . . Loved this one as I did all of the books in this series this is Tia's story she is a wise woman on an estate in The Midlands and thinks she is in love with the Viscount's brother but when she follows him to London and spends time with Braden things change very quickly.
This story has everything you want a bit of suspense and a very sensual romance don't miss this one, The story of Tia and Braden was captivating, I honestly didnt expect to find this book so interesting, There are some parts of it that seemed farfetched for the time period, A single woman traversing through England and London all on her own, thinking she is the only one who can find and save Jonathon from his demons, and disappearing for weeks with a new friend to suddenly join the aristocracy.
However, I didnt have to work hard to suspend disbelief as the story is well written, well paced and intriguing, I wanted to know what happened next, how all the players fit together and what their back stories were,
Once Braden swoops in to Tias horrid Whitehall fleabag rooming house and retrieves her, it was a battle of wills between these two, Right away the intrigue starts as Braden is shot at that very evening, So there are two main story lines occurring Tias insistence at finding Jonathon Bradens brother and the mysterious deaths of Viscount Middletons and attempted murder of the current Viscount, Tia leads Braden on a good chase through London parks, society ballrooms and the bedroom, As the story progresses, we get to see more of who Braden is, other than the rakehell he is presented as,
Braden offers Tia the position of mistress as he is overwhelmed with lust for her, She accepts his offer as she is intrigued and interested in learning about carnal delights, This is where this book differs from most of this genre, It is rare that the heroine is willing to become a mistress for essentially her own desires rather than being blackmailed or tricked, Tia articulates that no one would care where she comes from if she takes a lover which was somewhat hard to believe about England at that time and her twin sister has taken lovers in the past.
A progressive woman is an interesting angle and it is what sets this book apart from other historical romance novels,
Since Braden proposes Tia becomes his mistress, there are some very steamy scenes, I know that Tia is not innocent of what lust can bring between two people, but I was quite surprised when she begged Braden to take her up against the wall.
I enjoyed that Tia was a woman who could take charge and enjoyed sex, It was adorable when she tries to seduce Braden, Hes taken a vow to stop using women, but cant help himself with Tia, It helps that two of his friends have married their wise women so the concept is not foreign in this series, The sex scenes are vivid and very descriptive, You feel as if you are the object of Bradens affections, which is not a bad thing!
I liked the secondary characters, from the household staff to members of the ton.
Since Tia is essentially from the serving class, it helped to bring understanding to her world and how she moved from servant to aristocracy, The author is very good at describing a variety of events that the pair attend, From the drawing rooms of the nobility to gambling hells to grand balls to racy get togethers, everything the author describes is intriguing and is detailed with authenticity,
The mystery of Jonthans disappearance shines a light on a topic not often addressed drug addiction, I liked how the author used this societal issue as an element of the plot and discussed methods of treatment for the day, The mystery of the murdered Viscounts and the attempts on Bradens life eventually takes over the story line, It had me guessing who could be the culprit and it was a welldesigned mystery, Braden allows Tia to be a part of the investigation and this solidifies their relationship,
I enjoyed this book, Tias twin sister Mias book is the first in the series, I would like to read her story as I found Mia to be a riot when she pops up in this book, The story had elements that should have made me roll my eyes, but within the context the author develops, it all fits together, I found this book to a be a fun read, full of mystery, a dueling couple and very steamy scenes,
This one has a great ending, but some of the story line was too similar to the second book, Happy reading! This book is the third installment of the Wise Woman Series, This book can be read as a standalone or part of the series, Viscount Middleton, Braden Tavers was sent on a course to bring his tenants' wise woman back home, Hestia Featherstone, a wise woman aka healer and midwife for the Middleton Estates, Tia went to London to find Jonathon, Braden's brother, Tia is set to save Jonathon from himself, Jonathon has a big opium addition, Tia thinks she can save him, It was cute to see Braden and Tia come together and solve their problems, Be known to them, nothing is like it seems, I received a complimentary copy from the publisher thru NetGalley for an honest review, This is bookin the Wise Woman series,

Braden tracks down Tia and brings her back to his home, He lets her know that he will be sending her home to the estate, but Mia is determined to stay and find the Viscount's brother, Meeting a new friend, Mia moves in with her and away from the Viscount's watchful eye,

A month passes and Braden finds Mia at a ball, Making a spectacle of both of them, Braden carries Mia out and the ball to his awaiting carriage, They soon agree to work together to find Braden's brother, but as they spend more and more time together they can't seem to fight the attraction they feel for each other.


Can the Viscount make an honorable proposition to his estate's healer and if not, can Mia accept only that

I did enjoy this story and found it written better than Enticing the Earl.
I always enjoy a good mystery with my romance stories and Kelley didn't disappoint, The mystery was one I hadn't read before and thoroughly enjoyed it,

I enjoyed seeing the characters from the previous stories and catching up with them,

Tia Featherstone is the wise woman for the Midlands estate of Viscount Middleton, As the story begins, shes abandoned the estate and run off to London to track down the Viscounts brother because:he might be sick, andshe might love him, Braden Tavers is the Viscount, sent by Tias mother to retrieve her, He doesnt want to go, but hes intimidated by Mrs, Featherstone and cant say no to her,
When Braden finds Tia in a boardinghouse, she refuses to return with him, Perhaps fed up with all these Featherstone women ordering him about, Braden drags an uncooperative Tia away from her nonswanky digs and takes her to his home in town, planning to ship her home the next morning.
Unfortunately, Braden goes out that night and gets shot at, Tia tends to his wound, giving him plenty of laudanum, and then runs away in the morning before he wakes up, Nothing is going right for Braden,
For the first part of the book, I wasnt a fan of Braden, He saw Tia as only a problem to be dealt with, a piece of his estate, and he treated her poorly, Tia didnt impress me much, either, since she wouldnt tell anyone why she was looking for the lost brother, and her actions seemed impulsive and dangerous,
The plot flips a bit once Braden finds Tia again, He purposefully creates a scandal, ruining her reputation, so that shell have no choice but to skulk back home and do her job, Tia tries to bargain with him for more time in town, so Braden offers her the chance if she becomes his mistress, Tia is shocked, but she is so determined to stay in town that she accepts, Thats when I hated Braden even more, Luckily, it turns out that he was bluffing,
While Braden and Tia dance around the question of willtheyorwontthey, theyre also trying to solve the mystery of who is trying to kill Braden, Because someone is definitely trying to kill him, I liked that they put their heads together to try to find the answer, rather than keeping secrets from each other, Braden began to see Tia as a person, not an employee, He respected her ideas and then he began to care for her surprise!, And Tia realized that Braden wasnt a bossy blowhard, that he might be a decent guy after all,
The characters seemed to get smarter throughout the book, and they grew to respect and love each other, Plus Tia got to save Bradens life a few times, which is always a great start to a relationship! I found myself enjoying the tension and plot twists, and I was quite happy with the resolution.
Better than the first

I enjoyed Tias story more than Selinas, Tia and Braden had a better story and more passion than the previous installment, Also the pacing issues were not there, I liked this one a lot, Rated.Only Her Fire

I enjoyed the first two books in the series, but this one was a stinker, Tia was an idiot, haring off with no real plans after some guy, She was not a very wise, wise woman, And the stupid plot piece of pretending all the guys were dead was just silly, Overall a disappointing end to the series, Three!

This was a good love story, I liked the steamy sex scenes, Also, the friendship between the wise women was good, However, like the other two stories, it seemed to be a long winded story, Fantastic historical romance, once again Christie has pulled you into a page turner, filed with sexy intrigue and passion, An enjoyable read, filled with sweet romance, twists, and a surprising betrayal, Vexing the Viscount was a wonderful historical romance, I really liked this book, It was a lovely addition to a fantastic series,

Tia was a great heroine, She was strong, clever, and determined not to let anyone rule over her, My only issue was that, when things got emotionally messy, she had a tendency to run away, Otherwise, she was a lovely character and I really liked her,

Braden was wonderful, He came off as cold, but it quickly became clear that there was much more to him, He was very loyal and protective of his loved ones and sweet when he wanted to be, I thought he was utterly adorable,

The romance was great, Tia and Braden were a sweet couple, Though it doesn't seem like it on the surface, the two strong willed characters were perfectly matched, And the certainly had enough chemistry to turn the heat level up, My only issue was that I didn't like the inclusion of Tia's previous infatuation with Johnathon, It was only there for a few chapters and it didn't really serve a purpose maybe giving her a reason to follow him to London, but she could have simply wanted to ensure his health, so I wondered why it was even there.
But, focusing on Tia and Braden's relationship, I thought they were a lovely couple,

The plot was fast paced and I was hooked the entire way through, There were a few surprises along the way, not the least of which was why Johnathon ran away and who was behind all the chaos, I really enjoyed the story and the ending was lovely,

Vexing the Viscount was a wonderful historical romance, I really liked this fantastic book, From the romance, to the twists and the enjoyable story, it was a truly lovely read, Romance lovers, this is a book worth checking out,

I loved thest book in this Wise Woman series with the Duke amp his new Duchess.
These Wise Women are an unusual character for England, but Wise Women are totally excepted in Scotland, so I love them in this series, Each one is so different, even the twins, Tia amp Mia, Tia was a grieving woman amp totally unsure of herself because she felt that she was at fault with small girl's death, Braden was such a Bad Boy trying to me good for his mom, but I truly believe that reformed Bad Boys make the best hubbies! Ms, Kelley writes such great series, but they can amp do make sense no matter how you read them, Her characters will slap readers upside their head amp kidnap y'all into her passionate tales, All her series characters pop back into her reads at some point amp it's like chatting with old friends! Since it was a romance, Ms, Kelley weaves many pools of hot amp lusty scenes between Tia amp Braden, I loved Braden's luscious lips all over her ears amp it gave me shivers down my own spine! Ms, Kelley does it again amp makes me love her new Wise Woman series amp I am so getting Mia amp Simon's story next, She earns my score offingers up amptoes for this romance read!
