Secure Forever My Home, (The Aster Lake Series, #1) Articulated By Alora Kate Rendered As Manuscript

need to start out by saying wow! I loved this story, It is a romance story with mystery and some angst, I couldn't put the book down, I read it in one sitting, Alora did it again! Her characters seem so real and believable, This book jumps right into the story which I love, You meet the main character and her life is immediately changed and you feel horrible for her and you want to know why everything is happening.
The twist and development of the story and their relationship is so believable and amazing, I would highly recommend this if you enjoy a realistic relationship with a happy ending, No cliffhangers! If you are looking for a great romantic mystery with humor and suspense thrown in, then this book is for you.
I found the main story of Adalyn and then the meeting and romance of Adalyn and Rudd to be thoroughly interesting in fact I couldn't put the book down and thoroughly became immersed in the story it was so intriguing.
The story is told using both points of view Adalyn and Rudd, I fell in love with the well developed and interesting characters and am looking forward to reading more about them.
I was given an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review,
I have to say going from Alora Kate's Four Season's series which I adored to to this new series, you can instantly see the difference.
The writer has grown in her writing style and stretched into more than sweet and a little bumpy love.
So first, congratulations on setting your sights on something new and totally mastering it, This book is not only a love story with some smoking characters but has a mystery that isn't as easily figured out as a lot of them, it really keeps you guessing for a good portion of the book.
I loved this story and all the characters, I can't wait to read more of The Aster Lake Series.
“Now, this is going to be hard for you but you have to leave, ”

Recommended for, Romantic Suspense Loved this book! Couldn't put it down!

Forever My Home is the first book I've read by Alora Kate.
When I was offered the opportunity to read this in exchange for an honest review, I downloaded the sample on Amazon first, to see if I thought I would like it.
Well, that sample had me hooked! It's a book you don't want to put down,

For me, this book is just the right mix of romance, suspense, and even a little comedy.
The beginning starts off suspenseful, and I found myself very curious to find out why Adalyn was having to start her life over somewhere new.
Things calm down for a little while as Adalyn settles herself into a small town with a lake, surrounded by mountains.
However, the suspense picks back up later and then I was in for a bit of an emotional rollercoaster ride.

Wow. What a cast of characters! I love them all and they are very wellwritten, Adalyn is one of the main characters and the story is centered around her and Rudd.
Margie, Madi, and Bailey are probably my top three side characters, Also, I have to say that I love Madi so much! She is Adalyn's new friend and she is so funny.
I was really excited to see that the next book in this series will be about her.
Yay!

The story is told from both Adalyn and Rudd's point of view, which worked really well for me.
Plus, Adalyn's point of view was the only one in first person, It was a little different, but between that and the clearly marked transitions, it helped me keep it straight.

There were some grammatical hiccups that disrupted my reading, but it wasn't excessive, All in all, this is a wonderful story, I look forward to the next book in The Aster Lake series!

Please note that I did receive a gifted copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
It didn't alter my opinion of the book in any way, I really enjoyed this story, once I started reading I couldn't put down, Adalyn has to leave everything she knows and go start a new life, She is unsure about why she has to go but trusts her parents completely and does what she's told.
Moving to a small town she finds were she belongs, but most of all she finds love in Rudd.
Their story is very touching and heartfelt, I was given this as an ARC for an honest review, When I read the by line for this book I was highly interested, It was different and to be honest I couldn't put it down, You meet Adalyn with her parents telling her she has to leave, All they will tell her it's best for her safety and they give her a few words of wisdom.
Next you see Adalyn and she's found a home in a new small town miles away from where she started.
She's doing exactly like her parents told her to, She has no clue but she trust her parents so this is a mystery for her as well as for the reader.
I really enjoyed the start of the book and toward the middle the mystery of her past got pushed in the background as Rudd and her relationship take off.
He has a few changes in his life that take the spotlight and her past is only mention a few places.
The ending was quick and wrapped everything up nicely however I just felt it was too quick.
However, I would recommend this as an enjoyable read with a light hearted mystery,

It didn't alter my opinion of the book in any way, Forever My Home is about a sheltered girl who's parents tell her she needs to leave and start a new life.
She also has to wear a blue contact to cover her one green eye, They don't tell her why just that everything they did was because they love her, This book did start out a little slow but once it picked up it was pretty good.
Her friend Madi is pretty awesome and her landlord/soon to be love interest Rudd is great.
I'd recommend this book to anyone looking for a love story with a bit of action thrown in.
What a book. I was hooked from the very beginning, I didn't want to put it down, Everything about it was brilliant, The suspense , the mystery and the love story, I can see me reading this book over and over again, This is my first Alora Kate novel, I was caught from, "Now this is going to be hard for you, . . but you have to leave, " I loved the premise of having to start over, with no idea of why, That would take a lot of strength, which Adalyn definitely has, I'm definitely looking forward to more from Aster Lake and this author! Genre: romance

What's it about: the story follows Adalyn, a home schooled recluse who's spent her childhood being protected by her parent until one day they force her to flee with no explanation.
She runs to whole new state completely alone with nothing but a suitcase of stuff to call her own, there she befriends Madi, meets the gorgeous Rudd Archer and begins her new life

You will love this story if: you like contempary romance

My favourite thing about this book: the line "I woke up breathing" I love this quote and have used it a few times and every time I do I smile

What I liked about this book: the whole story line was lovely with steamy scenes that were brilliant, the book is well written with likeable characters.

What could be better: while reading I thought there was no major story mountain, no major hurdle for the main protagonist to overcome however I was wrong, however the main climactic scene was a little far fetched and left me a little confused, I'm hoping this is resolved in the next book

Final thoughts: I can't wait to read the next story and continue Adalyns journey, the secondary characters story is also really interesting and I'm kinda hoping the next book focuses on Madi who is brilliant as a support character.
I'm also hoping Anne makes another appearance, I would love more development on her character, Overall a brilliant read.
