Gain Michael (The Seven Brothers Of Elko, #3) Illustrated By Raeann Blake Expressed As E-Text
Jake, then Davis, now Michael, I want one!!!
Kindle Edition purchased August,
Should have been a DNF
I'm sorry to have to write a bad review, but this book was SO BAD!
This series isn't getting better for me.
The constant crying by the women and the men, the private jet flying, the insane amount of spending money generated by a small bodyguard/security company, . . just too incredulous.
The book is at least a third longer than necessary, and all of the time spent planning their Idaho mission, and even a lot of the time executing it was boring.
These people cart more gear and private jets with them than the President, . . they only lack a press corps of their own, I found myself skimming through that stuff, and also the smex scenes got boring, so I skimmed those after the first few,
I felt like the author took the character of Michael Cavanaugh and made him extremely unlikable for me during the first half of the book, and that's when it almost became and should have been a DNF.
She turned him into a wimpy cryer, too, so he lost his macho mystique, He was really dishonest with Trisha and himself, Anyone obsessing over a cheating spouse and best friend afteryears needs serious counseling and isn't a good relationship candidate,
Trisha was fine as a character, and not as TSTL as Brinley and Dusty in the previous books, but she should have dumped Michael, I guess her biggest fault was lack of selfrespect, oh, and the constant crying,
Then, there was the rest of the group who spent their time crying over every little thing, Sheesh! Who does that Is all of that supposed to mean they are all sweet, lovable characters
The most credible character in this whole thing was the bad guy, and he was seriously whacked.
The next book up is about Tommy, who is a nice guy, but doesn't interest me much, although he cries a little bit less than the rest of the men.
He's a singer, not a guy who's likely to be involved in much action, so I am probably through with this series, OMG if I could rate this book more thanI would, This is my favorite by far! Michael is one of the boys he's sweet and kind and wonderful, He is protective of all the girls and makes sure no one goes without, Trisha is a wonderful independent woman that never backs down, She has advanced through the law enforcement field but is just lacking some passion she is looking for, So she moves back to Nevada and applys for a job with Ranger Security, She goes back to JJ's to have a drink one night and to visit the owners, A handsome man at the bar catches her attention and she has to know more about him, She goes in for the interview and low and behold he's a partner and her boss!! Michael took one look at her and fell instantly for her, He scolds himself into not falling for her, Can he stay away from her or will he give into temptation This book is full of passion, It's a must read series! An Awesome Book!
I absolutely loved reading Michael The Seven Brothers of Elko: Book Three, all about Trisha Mitchell a Elko PD Detective amp Michael Cavanaugh the head of Ranger Security Investigations Department in Elko Nevada.
They met at a local bar called JJ's when a very sad Tim McGraw song came on the jukebox he looked across the bar into the prettiest green eyes mouthed will you dance with me, and Trisha said yes.
The next day Trisha had an interview with Ranger Security Investigations and when she walked in the office she met Jake amp Davis Reardon the two main partners amp brothers and then Michael Cavanaugh the man in charge of the Beta Team amp partner.
Needless to say both Michael amp Trisha were surprised to see each other, because neither one had exchanged names the night before at the bar, But during the interview process it came out that they had met briefly the night before, both Reardon brothers chuckled over that encounter, After the interview, they all thanked her for coming and said they would let her know! The Reardon's liked her experience, as did Michael, and it seemed her investigative skills were a huge asset, so in the end they decided she would make a great asset to the Beta Team and would offer her the job.
The author wrote a very interesting book, and the characters absolutely brought the story to life, This book is not just about Michael amp Trisha it's about the entire Ranger Security Family all four main partners amp the ranch and their partners and families.
Everybody brings a different set of values and beliefs to the table and even though most don't have their own families they each make up one big loving family that will do anything for each other! This is the third book in this series and it was just as amazing as book one amp two.
It will make you laugh, cry like a baby, sigh, make you shake your head a lot and cum up a storm! Read this book, and read one amp two as well.
I can't wait until book four comes out! Must read
Must read
this is book three of the series and I cannot wait for the rest!! ce this series is worth it at any price! I forgot how much I love Raeann's books.
They reach out and grip you, Michael's story was intense. So many different emotions. The first half I wanted to smack, then you just hold on cuz it gets really intense and you can't stop reading!!
I can not wait for the next one!! I hope it's Tommy' s story.
Awesome read Raeann Blake The Elko Brothers booksandwere long detailed saga romances, and this third installment follows that trend, We get Michael's story. He was introduced in the first book, former FBI agent and sheriff, now heading up a new division of Ranger Security, Along comes Trisha, a detective with the local police department but interviewing for a job with Ranger Security, reporting to Michael,
What we learn is that Michael was married before, and his wife left him, It is seven years later, and he is still very much feeling her loss, He is not willing to even consider a new relationship, but Trisha comes along anyway, She is hired for the job, and he becomes her boss, Their first case is a serial killer, and their team has to put Trisha in the forefront in order to capture the killer,
These books are wonderful in that they are so detailed, plenty of time to get to know the main characters and also catch up with the leads from prior books as well as other side characters.
Unfortunately, the
length can drag a bit, and it did with this one too, I don't feel we needed to hear every conversation and detail, many of which didn't add to the plot, especially when they were capturing the killer, It just seemed to drag on and on and on and on, This book also lost a star from me because it was so similar to the others, This author has a very very distinctive voice from other authors, but her books begin to sound the same, right down to Jake's horse only loving the heroines, weeping every chapter, and the special dances, etc.
, so enjoy them but don't read them consecutively, The next one appears to be going to be Tommy, so perhaps it will read differently as he isn't law enforcement, One can hope! But I'll read them anyway because despite these minor flaws, I like her writing, Wonderful
LeAnn Blake has done it again, another fantastic story, So much romance, so much suspense and so much action, On to the next book, Michael didn't want or need a woman in his life, So how did he wind up with two One that lived in memories that wouldn't die, And one that slipped in around all of his defenses and underneath the radar to trace whispers across a heart that wasn't ready for her, And he certainly wasn't going to help the situation by hiring her as the final member of his primary investigative team, The team needed her. She was a necessity and a distraction that could get one or both of them killed,
Trish really wanted this job, To get it, she needed to get her mind off of "the hat" from the night before, She especially needed to forget about the wounded eyes, the broken heart, and the gentle touch that she saw and felt when the hat came off for a single dance.
Instinct told her that the man beneath that hat was made for loving, But he hadn't just been singed around the edges, Somebody burned him through and through, He would never let himself love again,
Michael. His name is Michael. Another incredible story in this series, Possibly my favorite so far, This is of course Michael's story, He's finally living in Elko and running the investigative arm of Ranger Securities, When Trisha Mitchell applies for a position with the company, Michael has no idea how wild his life is about to become,
While the books in this series tend to be longer and more detailed then most in the romance genre, I think that is exactly what makes them so fun to read.
You really get to know the characters, This series and book is highly recommended, Love
I absolutely love these books! I have been waiting for Michael's story, and it was amazing! You will not be disappinted! I love Raeann Blake's writing style so much.
This was the best Brothers of Elko book yet, combining a wonderful story, suspense, amp a sensuous love story, The suspense in the undercover operation was exceptional, making it hard to put the kindle down, I really am loving this element to the books, and like how it's steadily increasing in complexity in each installment, I also like that we continue to see previous characters and relationships, keeping the series cohesive and familiar, Though, I am now intrigued about the members of alpha team, Oh wow!!
I have loved these boys from the very beginning and the just get hotter and hotter, Michael is amazing but messed up from his first marriage and in comes Trisha who he immediately connects with, love Me some ranger security men, Great book
Every story draw's you in and makes you not want to put down until you find that happy ending, Thanks.Enjoyed this first two books in this series but sadly this one just didn't work for me : Raeann Blake has worked in software development for than a decade, but uses a long history of experience in occupations from waitress to assembly line worker, from secretary to stay at home mom and to lend credibility to many of her characters.
A vivid imagination led her into being a closet author for than five years before she finally decided to heed the advice and encouragement of her family and friends to share her work with others.
Although a native Texan, Raeann is convinced she was really supposed to have been born in Montana, or that she at least lived there in a previous life.
She currently lives in Fort Worth, Texas with her husband and a crazy dog that loves the mailman but wants to eat the UPS guy the dog, not t Raeann Blake has worked in software development for than a decade, but uses a long history of experience in occupations from waitress to assembly line worker, from secretary to stay at home mom and to lend credibility to many of her characters.
