Catch Capturing The Minister's Heart Originated By K.D. Fleming Expressed As Print
received a complimentary copy of Capturing the Minister's Heart in a Goodreads Giveaway drawing thank you! I enjoyed this story.
It opened well Abby's annoyance with Jeremy made me smile, The dynamics of Abby and Jeremy each being close friends with one half of an engaged couple were well portrayed.
I enjoyed Abby's father immensely, and thought his role in the story moved the plot forward very effectively.
I would have liked to see a little bit more of Shaun as the story progressed.
He seems to be a really great guy who is not religious, . . I think exploring this within the context of a Christian fiction novel would be interesting,
The only part of the story which really gave me pause was the quick series of events where everything wrapped up in the last few pages.
Given the centrality of faith and family to this story, the
fact that the ending between Jeremy and Abby really didn't involve Abby's father at all seemed a bit out of character.
I don't find anything personally objectionable about it, but Abby clearly has a very old fashioned relationship with her father, and Jeremy would know this.
Just a small point that niggles at me,
I look forward to reading more by Kd Fleming! Great book loved the twist about Jeremy's past.
I loved the ending of this book, The hero, a really wonderful guy, almost loses the girl, She is mad and gets in his face, Loved the tension and conflict, Throughout the book he wants the best for her, and he's convinced he's not the best.
Which ends up being pretty torturous for both of them, The ending ties things up nicely, THINGS USUALLY GO ABBY BLACKMON'S WAY
As an attorney and a senator's daughter, Abby is used to seeing her dreams fulfilled.
But there's one exception: handsome single pastor Jeremy Walker, Abby longs for Jeremy to see her as more than a friend and member of the congregation, but every time they get close, he pulls away.
Keeping a low profile is a matter of lifeanddeath for Jeremy, Though he's drawn to Abby, she lives in the limelight he's desperate to avoid, Abby deserves a man who can give her the world, not one who has to hide from it.
Can she convince Jeremy that the only attention she wants is his,
