beautifully descriptive, sensitive, honest and truthful, . . and I'm describing a biker book, . . about aclub and yes, I am serious,
This book sat on my wish list for a while and I resisted buying it because it was another short one, but when the next longer book in the series was released atcents on sale and after reading the synopsis, it was a go for me to get them.
I am really glad I did!
Ava is the daughter of the VP of the Lean Dogs MC and when he is about to be bumped up to President and she returns home for the celebration and to go to grad school with her preppy new boyfriend in tow, all hell is about to break loose.
Her old love and the one who she ran from heartbroken to go away to college, is back and things are about to get really complicated.
Some club wars and persecution by the town mayor are only a couple of issues to be faced by this family of bikers and in this first book we are given the detailed and rich history of all of the important players in this family driven saga.

I have read so many biker romances that I have lost count, . . and while they are mostly enjoyable and some I have come to love so much I reread them, . . this new one is different, Lauren Gilley manages to combine a lot of facts about MC life, descriptions of people and places, and a scorching love story that began when Ava was a little girl and her forbidden lover Mercy was a young prospect.

Beautifully told but keeping the nasy, violent and sexy grit you come to expect from a book about outlaws.


"lie down with dogs and you don't always come up with fleas" Not sure about this read.
It was an interesting build up to a story, but I did feel any romance, I will try the second in the series, Loved it

I can't remember how I came across this author, But I am so glad that I did, This is the first book that I have read by this author, Since reading this book/novella first part of the book, I have read some of the author's other works and have not been disappointed.


This book starts in the present and introduces as to the characters, there are some flashbacks so that we get the history.


It is gritty, It is a great story loved it loved it loved, The four parts of this novel have since been released in one book, However I read each part on its own as I just couldn't wait for the whole book to be released I could hardly wait for each part to be released but I knew there was no way I could wait for the whole book as I enjoyed the first part so much.


Great writing I could see the characters and settings so clearly in my head,

I don't want to ruin the story but all I can say is if you love a MC story read this.


Loved it! Read it as the book, not the serial, This book is very confusing, it switches between POV's and you don't know who's narrating right away, great book, got me hooked can't wait to read more ! Fearless has become the book to which I compare all books.
The love story between Mercy and Ava will have you aching for every breath, look and touch,

Lauren writes

with such conviction and well described scenes that you feel as if you're in the body of these characters.
You're stepping out of the truck, you're sitting in Maggie's kitchen, you're on the back of the bike,

You'll want to be there through every step of this story, It's not JUST an MC book, this is the story of a family chosen and of blood,

Dartmoor is the series I recommend the most and it's my most treasured family of characters, If you loved Madeline Sheehans Undeniable, than this series is a MUST READ, Yes, all four books are the same characters and storyline, which is rather annoying why not write one full length novel but so totally worth that small annoyance.
These characters are so well written and Lauren Gilley does such a fantastic job in giving detail to their lives, their surroundings and the MC world.
This series will defs be in my top list of MC romance ! to come I loved it, These few chapters pulled me in and I couldn't stop, I started Part I on/and it's/and I've finished Part IV in the series, Instead of doing all the holiday things I usually do, I haven't been able to pull myself away from this story.
Ava is just ugh she should be honest with Ronnie before she starts doing shit, She is not really being the bad ass she claims to be, . on top of it, she was raised better than that, . I mean break off with the guy if you think he is such a pansy, . Wrote some stuff. .
