Stars!

First off, you cannot tell anyhow that this is Stephanie John's debut book.

As a couple and even as individuals Kara and Nate are two characters that the readers will like and relate with.

Kara is a strong character unless and until she does not succumb to her past, Incidents from her past have left her scarred so much so that, she left her home, the job that she had always wanted and has left her with major self esteem and trust issues.

She moves from England and settles in America trying to live on her own and surprisingly, adjusting to the life of a single woman quite well.

Nate, the CEO of the company Kara works in, on one hand has a soft, gentle, caring and loving side that Kara brings out in him, and on the other, is a strong, imposing and intimidating man in the business world.

Yes, Nate is your playboy turned into a loving and attentive wink wink boyfriend,

There were a two aspects of the book that I dint't think of much, Firstly, Kara's constant suspicion towards Nate every time he met a girl or anybody else, Yes, Kara was betrayed in the worst way possible, but you give the benefit of the doubt to even the worst of them out there.

And prior her, Nate was a playboy, so for the past and the present to collide is natural, but that doesn't mean she can go accusing Nate every time without letting him explain.
. . Well, he does explain after he has shut her up, . .

Get your head out of the gutter! He has to raise his voice, . . Okay, fine and then he shuts her up with get your head in the gutter

Stephanie John has written a plot which flows smoothly and the hurdles faced by Kara and Nate make them all the more realistic and relatable.

The ending, now that did definitely leave me hanging and I want to know more! And I would love to see Kara grow more as a character.

First off Ill start by saying that I won a copy of this book, I am not sure I would have picked it up, because sometimes you can read too much of a genre think hot, billionaire male leads and think, Ill give this a break

WELL I AM GLAD I didnt ignore this book! If youre looking for a Contemporary Romance then I think Stephanie John has nailed it with “Salvation”.
Right from the get go, the small details of what the character was doing as they were speaking and interacting with the others, was a wonderful addition to assist the brain processing what was happening.
It was really noninvasive and had me immersed into the story, immediately,

There were times I could have really throttled Kara, and her need to sabotage things, or keep things from Nate, but all was forgiven when throughout the book its revealed what she has kept secret, and why she did.
Allowing Nate to break down those walls just makes him so much more swoonworthy, Instead of getting lost in an arrogant, dominant, billionaire, the reader actually get a gorgeous, handsome, intense, billionaire who has secrets of his own.
Secrets that make him the way he is, but all for the better, The use of minor character, Mai, Karas assistant and best friend, was a great way of breaking up the storyline and ensuring it wasnt just about the two main characters.

Nate what can I say A man in a suit, who can command a boardroomSIGN ME UP! It really works that he isntA photo quote from Salvation, a contemporary adult romance novel by author Stephanie John arrogant or aggressive.
He has just the right blend of intensity and intrigue that makes him all the more attractive, and Kara a very lucky lady!

A warningthe heat level in this book is OFF the Richter scale! Be prepared to put the fan on and swoon a little.
The man knows HOW to please his woman, and boythat comes across on the page! Luckily for the reader, with so much heat between the pages, Stephanie John makes it interesting and fresh, and ensures that its not cliché and repetitive.
You may need to start the cold shower, because reading about Kara and Nate and their chemistry is sure to make you need a little breather!

Johns has written in an easytoread manner that draws you into the story and will have you hanging out until the end.
Speaking of the end jawdrop that was it!!!! I only JUST read that its a part of a series, and boy am I glad I did, otherwise Id have to seek out Ms.
Johns and ask some very serious questions! This looks like it will be a really great series and I commend Johns on her upcoming release.
I dont really read books

with sexy young billionaires with issues and the beautiful women who beguile them, It smacks of Fifty Shades and really the best thing about that whole spiel was the movie soundtrack that and the fact that I discovered how far back in my head my eyes could roll.
So if I knew that this book was about a sexy young billionaire with issues I probably wouldnt have read it, But I am so happy this came across my way,

I love some angst and tension in my romance and I love a couple of flawed characters who make terrible decisions and this book had all of that plus some extra steaminess to boot.
Instead of a heroine who was way too naive for her own good and would do anything for said issued billionaire, I got one who was strong, witty, fun and completely realistic.
She was someone I could respect and relate to, Instead of getting a broody, arrogant alpha hero with control issues I got someone who was funny and sexy with just enough intensity and cockiness to keep you wanting more.

The back and forth banter and their constant push and pull mostly thanks to Kara kept me nailed to the pages.
The chemistry between them was on fire and Nate definitely knew how to deliver the good stuff, All in all I really enjoyed this book, It was refreshing with a lot of fun and sexy times but also moments that were surprisingly emotional and heartfelt, A really refreshing read that may make me look twice at other books with this trope,

ARC provided by author in exchange for an honest review I love being introduced to new authors and I have to say that I am definitely happy that I got the chance to read this new book by debut author Stephanie John : The story was quite interesting and intriguing : I loved the main characters and enjoyed their journey to each other every single step of the way : The story is quite well written and the leads in it are quite captivating, well developed and interesting.
Kara and Nate feel like real people, with flaws and mistakes in their pasts, And all that just makes them easier to relate to and feel their sorrows and happiness while reading the book,

Kara is quite an intriguing character, I have to say that I quite enjoyed seeing her bloom under Nate's attention : I loved seeing her gaining her inner strength and self esteem again under the tender touch and encouragement of the delicious CEO.
Given her past, it was quite understandable that she had trust issues and had difficulties believing that a gorgeous representative of the male species like Nate will be interested in her.
I loved reading how Nate was breaking her walls brick by brick while at the same time allowing her to become herself again, the strong and confident individual she was before her ordeal with her ex.

As for Nate, what is there to say, . . He is definitely gorgeous, confident and simply delicious alpha male that you can all expect, And given his looks, he has every right to be : I mean who can resist those mesmerizing blue eyes : At the same time he is tortured by events from his past I have to say that I am dying to find out what exactly happen that come to haunt him again in the face of his ex.
Even trough everything he is going through to protect the woman he loves he still finds the time and the way to show his feelings for Kara.
And let me tell you, he probably uses every single romantic gesture you can think of and probably a few more just for good measure So yes, you simply must meet Nate :D No way around it :D

So in a few words, this book is a must read : I have to say that I was quite surprised by it considering that's a first book written by this author.
It is definitely a very promising start and I can't wait to find out what will happen next with them, their friends and families : And just a little warning : Have in mind that the book is some what of a cliffie :D Even though the ending is not will leave you awake at night what exactly is going to happen next, it is still quite intriguing and it will make you want the next book in the series as fast as possible.

Nate! Yes, Yes. Yes. I must say that Nate has been pushed to one of my topfavorite book boyfriends, He is an amazing character, He had everything you could want in a boyfriend, He was the rich business owner, possessive, masculine, passionate, but also so loving, Never did i get the feeling that he was just an arrogant jerk, He loved and he loved hard, Once he fell there was no going back,

Kara was a good heroine for this book, At time i really wanted to smack her so she would wake up and realize what she had right in front of her.
Kara had a bad past therefore in this book she is the insecure one, In the book we learn that insecurities can destroy your relationship if you let them, Through out the book Kara was strong in some aspects but in others she was really weak, I like that towards the end of the book we were able to see her grow, As a character you see her become stronger and more confident!

Kara's best friend Mai was a best friend any of us would love to have.
She was always there trying to help her with her relationship, Telling her what she deserved and not afraid of telling her when she was in the wrong, She was witty and had great lines that flowed freely from her mouth,

Overall I would say this was a great book, It had all the things i look for in a book, It was extremely hot and steamy, it had a great story line, and it had great characters, The only down fall and the reason this wasn't a five star for me is it seemed like the author at times used sex scenes as fillers.
I love the sex scenes in books but it seemed like sometimes it was over and over, This book is left on a cliffhanger so be ready for when partcomes out I know i will!,
