on Jesper Jinx and the Turkish Pepper (Jesper Jinx, #3)

is back and is still looking for new and interesting ways to relieve his boredom.
The book starts off with Jesper managing to blackmail the author into giving him his last page of "Turkish Pepper" a salty liquorice smuggled by threatening to tell his parents that he is stealing his stories.
This series of short stories is particularly funny, Very entertaining. Jesper Jinx is eleven, and probably the unluckiest person in all of Puffington Hill, Everything he touches seems to end up in sweet disaster, Hence his nickname 'Jinx'.

In the third book of his wickedly funny adventures, Jesper goes camping and develops a taste for Turkish Pepper.
WARNING: Turkish Pepper might not be what you think it is! You'll also get to know Jesper'syearold neighbour.
Oh, and a fox called Frank, Finally, there's a huge concert coming to town starring local rapper Horrid Porridge,

Can Jesper rise to the occasion with another Boredom Breaker or will the Turkish Peppers get to him

Some truly splendid antics are in store for you, lucky reader! After being tricked into allowing his almostteenage sister, Melinda, full access to his room and diary, Jesper and his best friend, Oliver, camp out in Jespers back yard.
Surrounded by darkness, all sorts of imagined horrific scenarios dance around the boys heads, resulting in a failed attempt to break in through Melindas bedroom window.
Frank Fox provides some insight into the boys misfortune that night, after which full focus turns to a family singing competition, to see who is worthy of the only ticket to the upcoming Horrid Porridge concert.

The deceptive, yet highly imaginative beginning to Marko Kittis tale kicks off a whirlwind of adventure and insanely humorous antics of Jespers family, their neighbor and the Silly Old Scribbler himself.
I surprised myself when I hooted and squealed in delight, finally seeing the word “SALMIAKKI” in the text a Finnish delicacy which I am sure they use to torture all foreigners in extreme situations.
The introduction of Snowys boyfriend, Frank, was a real palette cleanser, which left me laughing until I choked on my food.
Note to reader: put food down before reading Marko Kittis books the difference being intermittent and constant shock and laughter.
Smiling all the way through, while shaking my head in shock and disbelief at the outcome of the camping debacle, I simply could not put Jesper Jinx and the Turkish Pepper down.
The illustrations were as clever and entertaining as the text, and I am once again left with a craving for more, which I will be seeking out today.
I fully recommend Jesper Jinx and the Turkish Pepper to readers aged, who love a wellwritten tale which carries an interesting family dynamic and an insight into the Finnish culture.

I really love the Jesper Jinx series, each new book brings more adventures and disasters for Jesper, and I look forward to seeing what happens next for him.
although he does seem to bring a lot of it on himself, When I received Jesper Jinx and the Turkish Pepper for review I knew it would be a quick read, and I read it between review books.
Like the previous books, Jesper Jinx and the Turkish Pepper is split into small stories with hilarious images to go along with the story being told.
MY review will be short but will hopefully give you an idea of what is within the pages of this latest installment by Marko Kitti.

Intro Sequence
These are super quick short chapters, and in this we see Jesper declaring his independence from cleaning day, this gets him out of cleaning his room as its his own 'style' but ends up getting pranked by his sister, and leaving him plotting revenge.
The whole declaring his independence was an ingenious idea and I wish I had thought of this myself when I was younger.

Turkish Pepper
This is salty liqourice sitelinksalmiakki that the author smuggled in from Finland and is unwilling to part with any when Jesper asks.
It isn't until Jesper threatens to tell his parents that the author is stealing his stories, that the author relents and let's Jesper take his precious last bag of this Turkish Pepper.

Jesper Jinx Goes Camping
Jesper and Oliver are camping in Jesper's back garden, and what is meant to be a night of junk food and sleep, quickly ends with police helicopters and burglars.

Mystery of the Chocolate Chip Cookies
The mystery as to what happened to the Chocolate Chip Cookies left behind in the tent is revealed in this short chapter, and it definitely made me laugh.

Jesper Jinx and the Turkish Pepper
This story tells us what the Turkish Pepper can really do.
Melinda and Jesper compete to win VIP tickets to a concert, They have to learn the lyrics of a song and perform them for their parents who decide on the winner.
To gain the advantage Jesper ends up eating some Turkish Pepper and has some disastrous results.

Final Verdict
Jesper Jinx and the Turkish Pepper was another great installment to this series.
While the books are short and quick for myself they are ideal for reluctant readers, or children with short attention spans.
I won this book off of Good Reads First Reads Giveaway, This is a great kids book, It is a really funny book, I give this book a big thumbs up, Should be on all elementary schools library shelves, I will be giving this to my nephew for Christmas, A must read! As always, I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Jesper! There is just something about his personality and the quandaries in which he finds himself that keeps me coming back!
This is an absolute DoNotMiss series for middlegrade boys!
Plus, I loved Jespers neighbor! Shes hilarious!
Now I need to try these Turkish Peppers!!

Jesper loves playing pranks but never has much luck with them,

In case you are new to the series and havent read Book: Jesper Jinx or Book: Jesper Jinx and the Sneezing Season, Jesper isyears old and lives with his Mum, Dad,year old sister Melinda and Snowy the cat in Puffington Hill on the South Coast of England.
His best friend is Oliver, He loves pranks, especially at his sisters expense,

Our author, Marko aka Silly Old Scribbler still doesnt have permission to publish Jespers stories.
So as in the previous two books, before you start reading you still need to sign the Secrecy Agreement and agree to the Terms.
But most importantly of all, DONT TELL JESPER! He cannot know of existence of these books, otherwise we, as readers, will be deprived of more stories.

So now the “legalities” are out of the way, lets get back to the book.
In Book: Jesper Jinx and the Turkish Pepper, Jesper acquires the last bag of the Silly Old Scribblers Jespers name for the author extra hot Turkish Pepper which lead to some extraordinary events.

Claim Now Jesper Jinx And The Turkish Pepper (Jesper Jinx, #3) Narrated By Marko Kitti Displayed As Audio Book
Jesper and the Turkish Pepper us quirky and fun that the young and old will enjoy.
Its not just foryear olds! I love Jesper's antics and especially love the way the author involves readers by writing the book as if he were telling a secret to the reader and how he involves the reader with the signing of the Secrecy Agreement before continuing to read the book.
Jesper is back again, and boredom still is a word he's never going to understand, Like the other two books in this series, Jesper Jinx and the Turkish Pepper is packed full of humor.
Especially boys agesand up will love following Jesper as he again gets himself into quite the pickle.
. . or, in this case, pepper, I really enjoy the lighter side of life these books take, while still presenting a fairly normal boy and how he faces fairly normal, everyday problems in his own, original ways.
Kids will have no trouble relating to Jesper and sympathizing with him as he tries to work his way through the craziest situations.
. . although I doubt they'll try his techniques themselves,

I can only recommend this series and believe that especially reluctant readers will enjoy accompanying Jesper on his hilarious adventures.

My : This book was sent to me by the author in exchange for an honest review.
I have really enjoyed the Jesper Jinx series so far and am happy that it is continuing with new comedic happenings in each one.
I found it interesting that in this one it seemed that the boredom breakers and pranks were pulled more on Jesper than he did to everyone else and it wasn't even due to them backfiring, this added a new element of fun.
I particularly enjoyed Mr. Frank Fox and Snowy the Cat, they made me really giggle, This is a great series and book for both boys and girls of all ages, .
