Take Peter Pan (Faerie Tale Collection #12) Presented By Jenni James Listed As Physical Book

on Peter Pan (Faerie Tale Collection #12)

Ive read " peter pan " it was fun short quick advanture , i enjoyed it , i gave itout ofIt was a cute take on the actual book.
Enjoyable! light reading, fun and fast, stars. A short, sweet retelling of this fairy tale, I love the original book by J, M. Barrie, but this was enjoyable to read as well, Cute easy read! This story was a nice, quick, light read that had me smiling the whole way through,

I true lily enjoyed the fact that some of the original heart and nonsense was captured in this retelling,

However it read a bit like a piece of fanfiction which can be said of most retellings, I could see someone me of the original 'Peter Pan' lurking in the writing but some of the characters seemed a little off.

I may be a bit bias because I truly love JM's original story but for a quick piece of nonsense this was good.
Peter Pan needs help, and he's convinced the effervescent Wendy Darling is just the girl to champion his cause, Ever since the mischievous fairy Tinker Bell began recruitingmore like, snatchingboys from London's orphanages to take them to a magical place called Neverland, things have gotten out of hand.
Captain Hook has only become more violent and the boys more lost as their memories of life before Neverland begin to fade.
Peter's only hope is to get the boys back to England and help bring balance to Neverland before Hook's dangerous escapades kill them all.

Wendy is not quite certain why such a handsome young man would need herespecially a lad who clearly has a touch of madness in him.
What boy learns to fly But whatever the reason, home life has become too much for her now that her parents are hoping she marries an acquaintance she can barely abide.
There is something about Peter Pan that intrigues her greatly, and then there is this magical world he talks about, this Neverland.

Peter Pan A cute book, and a fun fast read! I only gave it three, though, because I love Peter Pan the original.
This fails to capture the essence of who Peter Pan is and turns him into a dashing, rogue/hero, I never thought I'd see the day that I'd give Jenni James onlystars, but this wasn't my favorite of her Fairie Tale Collection.
Granted, I have never liked Peter Pan and was quite reluctant to even start reading it, so my opinion may be slightly prejudiced.
Reading Peter Pan in a different version was so much better than the original, Glad I was able revisit the adventure of sword fighting, flying, and romance, Peter and Wendy are so much better in teenaged years than early childhood, If I could give every one of Jenni James' books ten out of five, I would, Jenni is one of my absolute favorite authors and her fairytale books are some of my favorite books, Jenni James has a magic touch, a way of weaving magic and mystery into her stories, Reading this version of Peter Pan was like seeing an old friend for the first time in forever, It was refreshingly unique while still holding on to the familiar tale that we all know and love, It was beautiful and fleeting making me wish that it were three times as long, Some may see a Peter Pan story and think that it will be predictable and boring, Everybody knows the tale. Jenni James, however, has mastered the art of twisting a tale until it is impossible to guess what will happen next, even if you are an expert on all things Peter Pan.
Just as all of her previous books have been, Peter Pan was a joy and an adventure for my imagination and I cannot wait for the next adventure! ! Finished it in a plane ride.
It was sweet and creative, I never really liked Peter Pan, This book didn't help it, This one was ok, it was a little silly in some places, The overall story line was good, I just didn't feel any depth from the characters, and their relationship seemed a little forced and too fast paced, I don't like to give negative reviews to books, but this one just fell flat for me,

Moral Note: Clean language, clean romance, mild violence THIS BOOK WAS SO MUCH FUN!

AHHHHH! Peter! Wendy! Peter! Ahhhh! I can't wait for you to read it.
I hope you love it as much as I loved writing it,

The world of Neverland was too amazing for me, I have to go back, So the next in the Faerie Tale Collection will be Return to Neverland! It will be coming out this summer, :

Peter Pan goes live MaythAnd is available for preorder now, : Lovely retelling

Cute, adventurous fun!
We learn Peter's origin and why he chose Wendy to go to Neverland.
Tinker Bell is quite the devilish fairy, Hook is played out to be evil, but I know he has more to him than what is being portrayed,
All in all, it was a fun read, Wonderful writing, cute story. A fun nostalgic ride if you're looking for one,
I thought this book was pretty good, It's quite the easy read with adorable romance and very engaging, I love Peter Pan even though he is a snob oftentimes but definitely the charmer! Haha
No one is onedimensional at least in my opinion and the story just keeps movingnever letting up!
I especially enjoyed the second and can't wait to start the third!! Cute read.
Jennifer James is always good for a light, enjoyable read, And Peter Pan is no longer a kid, which leads to some sweet love, This book was a fun jaunt into Neverland and the life of Peter Pan and Wendy, Plenty of pirates, fairies, pixie dust and flying around to give the reader a good fantasy/fairy tale story, As the reader, we get to see how Hook looses his hand, find out why and how the lost boys come to be in Neverland, see the temper and beauty of fairies as well as hear little teasers about the crocodileprobably one of my favorite characters in the Peter Pan story.

The book opens with Peter flying around London following Wendy, after spotting her on an afternoon stroll with her friend.
Peter is intrigued by her spirit and love of life and finds himself following her home, He listens to her care for her brothers and read them stories, There's a fun scene where he is even outsmarted by her,

Wendy is surprised to find a flying boy following her and hearing his tales about a magical land that needs help.
Wendy eventually agrees to set off for a short adventure to Neverland with Peter Pan, and she does end up in a crazy adventure from one moment to the next.

I won't spoil how Jenni James tells the story in her own fun way but will say I enjoyed it! I have read and own most of her faerie tale collection and haven't been disappointed by one yet.
I have reread several and even used them as the story for reading time with my kids, They love them! My older kids have read
Take Peter Pan (Faerie Tale Collection #12) Presented By Jenni James Listed As Physical Book
them several times on their own as well, I love knowing that whatever Jenni James writes I can share it happily with anyone knowing that it is a fun, clean and wholesome, and delightful read.

If you haven't read any from this collection I recommend starting with Cinderella, although I have been pleased with the ones I have read thus far.
If you choose to read Peter Pan it can be read as a stand alone as it finishes nicely, but as a heads up in case you didn't know, there are two more stories connected to it.

I bought a copy from Amazon,

Happy Reading!!! I have been reading retellings this year, Last night I procrastinated reading the original version by J, M. Barrie, so I decided to give this a go, Honestly, I'm not a fan of the story of Peter Pan, but Jenni's draft impressed me,
I will recommend this book to those who are looking for retellings, A vivid retelling of this imaginative classic marked by adventure, daring, and a little bit of romance, I loved this version of Peter Pan! And I defenitely liked the interactions between Wendy and Peter I have always loved the story of Peter Pan and Jenni James retelling is both fun and exciting.
Readers will love this familiar, but new tale of the friendship and romance of Peter Pan and Wendy and their adventures in Neverland.
The characters are simply delightful and the retelling of Peters story enticing, I would recommend this quick and entertaining story to those that love fairytales as well as any of Jenni James previous stories.
