story was so nice so right, I loved Daisy and her relationship with Clayton so right so natural.
I appreciated the little angst, Just one more lovely book by Sugar Jamison,.stars, good but I want more drama!
I enjoyed this book and OMG I can't believe I finally reached the last book of the series! I want more curvy girl romance! I want more fluffiness from Sugar Jamison!
I liked Clayton, although in previous book he seemed like a pompous jerk.
Plus the fact that he's gentle with Daisy's kid,
This series is such a delightful treat for me and I can't wait to read another series from Sugar Jamison! The first half is astar read.
I liked it, but found myself bored at times, Around, it seemed to get a faster pace, more interesting story and I really felt like these two loved each other.
Though this issue isn't exclusive to this book, it's something I really don't love in romances: Everybody is dead.
The heroine's parents are both dead, Her sister has died, her husband has died and now we find that her sister's babydaddy has also died of a disease.
Is this book set in modernday America or some squalidrd world village circaWhat's with everybody dying Even one of those deaths in the life of the heroine should have caused trauma, but she's just pluggin' along like she's fine.
It bothers me.
for the first half, for the second, I'll meet in the middle with a,. stars
Beautiful story of a wounded soldier that find true love to a fierce and loving woman that had to change her life for her niece/daughter.
Good, lusty, plus size romance, Curvy Girl Daisy Gracen is the owner of a very successful flower shop, the single mom of her deceased sister's little girl Aubrey aka Cookie, the widow of a Vet, and a somewhat reformed wild child.
Although she has radically changed her lifestyle since adopting Cookie, there are still glimpses of the inner wild child.
She dresses in tight clothing, concert tee's, and sports a few somewhat discreet tattoos, She would love to give Cookie a traditional family life, but is quite satisfied with what they do have together.
Enter the "scary man", their nextdoor neighbor who resembles Grizzly Adams in ohsomany ways, He's huge, extremely quiet, and a shaggy, bearded gentle giant, who suddenly shows some sweet attention to Cookie as she sits outside reading her books.
This, of course, sets Daisy on a rampage to protect her little girl from a "possible perv",
Clayton is exArmy Ranger who has been homemonths and is trying to put his life back together.
His family was dysfunctional and although he loves them all, he also carries strong resentment for his parents.
He was quietly observed Daisy and her little girl from his home and certainly lusted after Daisy with her tight shorts and tube tops, but he would never do anything to harm either of them.
I love the Curvy Girls, being one myself, The characters are delightful and the stories intertwine, which I love, As a reader, you can't help but
fall in love with all of Sugar Jamison's characters,
.I really like Perfect Fit book series by Sugar Jamison! Every single one was warmhearted, witty and sexy love story.
I really liked this story and I liked Daisy a lot, She was funny too!
I just want to say "Can Daisy be my new best friend",
I also liked her niece, Aubrey who was quite the lovely little girl, older acting than her years.
It was fun that she acted a lot like her dead mother but looked so much like her aunt.
She was often so adult like in her approach, I really enjoyed the nights that Daisy and Aubry cooked together, They sure came up with some interesting meals, Clayton, it was interesting to watch his character and past life unfold, What a good man, messed up some yes, but basically a good man, Against his better judgement he was drawn to Daisy almost from the start, She also was interested in him, the first man since the death of her husband that got her excited.
They were good together even with the special challenges that they faced, Aubry in the beginning called Clayton the "scary man" but quickly warmed to their new neighbor, seeing a side to him that others missed.
Clayton had plenty of family dysfunction but loved his sister, Maggie and wanted to be there for her too.
There were strong, interesting secondary characters like Maggie that added to the story,
Yes, I thoroughly enjoyed this one,
P. S. I know it says this is a Novella, but it sure feels like a full novel,
I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

.Hearts My goodness I loved this book, I have read most of the series, I some how missed My Curvy Valentine but I plan on reading that as soon as I can.
But I have read the rest of the series and have loved every book,
This was a bit slow to get started but later I realized why, We needed a bit of backstory from both Daisy and Clayton to understand their relationship, Daisy has lost so much in her life and when her sister dies she is given custody of Aubrey, her niece.
Her husband wants nothing to do with her niece and makes it hard but then he is killed and Daisy is on her own raising a little girl.
Clayton has seen war and is finally home and lost in the world where he should feel secure.
But Daisy is his solise in a crazy world, And then they are faking an engagement and things really heat up, And the story really blossoms,
I loved Daisy, She is sweet and real and so down to earth you want to be her friend, You know she is the kind of person who once she allows you in her life you are there to stay.
Clayton is hard but once he opens up he really becomes soft and sweet, He never fails to take Daisys hand or tell her how much she means to him even if he doesnt say love.
And then there is Aubrey, She is anyear old woman in ayear old body, She is written with an old soul and is a big part of the story,
You do not need to have read the series but I would recommend you do, The series wraps around curvy girls, These arent all big girls but they are “hard to fit” into the mold of the perfect woman.
And sometimes reading a book without the perfect people is exactly what a girl needs,
Disclaimer:
I received a complimentary copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.
Such a great series. I love the characters, the town, the romance, and the sweetness, another great read. thanks sugar A wonderful perfect story!!
Wow, I laughed, I cried, and at the end a smile on my face, what a wonderful book that I couldn't put down, I loved catching up with the characters from my Curvy Valentine which was also a wonderful book, I absolutely adored Daisy, who is an inspiring women to be most women can be mothers but it take a special person to do what she did and be a mama to Aubrey, and then Clayton who I feel in love with from the start and finally got his HEA!!! Can't wait for the next book!! Loved Clayton and Daisy's story.
Aubrey with the maturity of an adult, this little girl deserve to be loved so much, Perfect! Sugar Jamison is one of my autobuy authors, Can't wait for the next story! A lovely, quick read
Just a sweet, lovely story.
I really enjoyed this. Believable characters that you care about, A widowed woman who is the "mother" of her sister's young daughter, A soldier with mild PTSD who thinks he can only function in the world of warfare, Both find who they really are when they are together, Heartwarming. I enjoy Sugar Jamison's writing, I thoroughly enjoyed this book! It made me cry, laugh out loud and say awww several times,
Daisy is a widowed, mostly former wild child who settled down to raise her niece, Aubrey.
She is bold, outgoing, faces life head on, intelligent, sassy, I love that she is a BBW and proud of it!
Clayton is former military with PTSD.
He lives next door to Daisy and Aubrey, He notices them both but decides he doesnt need the complication, until he does!
Aubrey adds a whole other dimension to this story.
She is kind, intelligent and beyond her years,
This story draws you in from the beginning, I couldnt put it down once I started it, I look forward to reading more from this author,
Clayton Calhoun had been a soldier his entire life, but after nearly dying in an explosion, he decided to give up his military career and return to his hometown.
But being back home isn't as easy as he thought it would be, and soon he starts to miss the action that the Army Rangers provided.
Feeling unsatisfied, he's considers taking a job overseas and risking his life to do what he does best.
But a close family friend throws him for a loop when he leaves him his very successful business.
Clayton is faced with a big choice: Stay home and make his friends and family happy, or go overseas to do what he loves.
With so much on his plate the last thing Clayton was looking for was love,
But then Daisy Lee Gracen storms into his life,
The formerly wild widow of a Marine and mother of a little girl was the last thing he wanted or needed, but when the threat of a custody battle threatens to take away the only person Daisy has ever really loved, Clayton steps in and pretends to be her fiancé.
It was supposed to be just for the summer, It was supposed to be no strings attached, but Clayton can't get the woman off his mind or out of his heart and he wonders if a life without Daisy is a life worth having.
Will this just be a summer fling, or can the two overcome their pasts and find a future together
I enjoyed this book very much.
I find it hard to rate this one and to tell why this one didn't
really work for me coz it was full of ideas that usually work
for me.
It's not my first Sugar Jamison's book neither,
In fact I read theothers books in this series
and I really enjoyed them, But maybe it's part of the reason
why, It didn't feel like I was reading one of her novels,
But now that I think about it, I think the main reason
I didn't completely connect with these characters and
their story is because there was not enough time spent
to install the relationship between Clay and Daisy
before they got to bed together.
Sugar Jamison is a southern belle trapped in a New Yorkers body, With a love of big hair and high heeled shoes, she spends her day at her very normal day job and night dreaming up sweet but sassy romances.
