However, I just couldn't handle the actions of the heroine and I came to feel the hero was just too good to be true.
I really did not care for the story line, The only redeeming feature was a little more than half way through, when I was reading just to finish, I had the thought that the situation may reflect our relationship with God he's the one being infinitely loving and patient and while disappointed in our unrighteous actions, he doesn't disdain us.
In that light, it's better, although not especially what I look for in my romantic fiction, even Christian.
Jackson and Hannah have known each other since childhood, But he has only been in her background, She had a long time boyfriend Matthew, Jackson has scars that he got from a car wreck, He is a very good Christian sole, She fell away from God, They met up years later, And got married. But for love. She had left her boyfriend and was pregnant, He has always loved her, Their story wasn't a great one, Theirs is a story of second chance at love and with prayer and her renual with God all things are possible.
This is an emotional story line for me, Erin Landy has taken the challenge of letting us know that forgiveness is powered by God's love, I found this to be emotionally griping and I didn't want to put it down, Jackson couldn't have better. He was a man of integrity, patience and heart, I wanted to throttle Hannah a couple of times, It had a happy ending of course but there were a couple of significant elements that took me by surprise.
As a bonus, we got to revisit Colton and Laurel from the first book,

It is a good story of man living his values, with Jesus at the center, A sweet, inspirational romance. This is bookin the Forgiving Hearts Trilogy, It is a standalone novel with no cliffhanger,
